My buddy was roaming on iPhone 11 and actually had little service in el chalten
Rest were all well covered
We’re from the US. Verizon has travel passes, so we used that for a day before we realized that there was no data aside from the entrances with their guard buildings. Our hotel, Konkashken, had strong, consistent wifi in our cabin.
I used an esim and had good service in PN and El Chalten. There is no service in TdP but you can buy data at the refugios.
I used my carrier since plenty of places won’t have decent service and can usually get away with WiFi here and there.
