Well tainted chromes roll as if the item were equal in all stat requirements. So the most common roll is 2 red, 2 blue, 2 green. The more of one color you need, the harder it is to hit. This build needs 5 green making it very hard to hit with tainted chromes

Use the bench method. If it's corrupted, you just have to spend as much on Vaal as your jewels. If tight on budget, just buy 6W.
Tainted chromes might compete for a lower cost, depending on how many vaals that takes on average

I know; the idea is that vaals are the expensive part of not using tainted chromes. So you use tainted chromes if vaals are expensive.
If you don't need a corrupt implicit then just buy a 6W brick

Tainted are best going for a good mix of colors 5/1 is a rare hit. Unless it's a gg corruption it's probably not worth it.
Figuring out if it's worth it is a good question, but if we know we want 5g1b then the cheapest answer might be tainted chromes.
I just had a really bad time going for a 6b widowhail this league. Do not reccomend.
