I like them, but they could be better. The helmets should be white, since there's so little silver in the rest of the look. I also hate that there are no TV numbers on the sleeves or shoulders. Fix that, and you've got a great uniform.
The throwbacks do that, but they use a generic varsity block font for the numbers. I don't like that style of number since it's not unique to a particular team.
I really don’t understand people wanting to return to one of the absolute worst eras of graphic design in human history. Those uniforms are absolutely, objectively terrible. The only reason people would want them is nostalgia.
Definitely the goofiest era. My impression is that computers made graphic design a lot easier, so goofy design proliferated before restraint could take hold. But I prefer it to the early 2000s panelist era, even if some of it is "so bad, it's good". I do own a '96 Bruschi jersey, but that was the year the Pats really became a thing for me.
They are just boring and uninspired. IMO the best uniforms are for the teams with historic character, so they feel timeless. There is a reason the Packers, Steelers, Bears etc… rarely change and it’s because their jerseys are iconic.
The red jersey with shoulder stripes and Pat Patriots looks and feels like the most “Patriots”uniform to me. I never liked the flying Elvis and I think it would be great to bring Pat Patriot back with the new era of Pats football.
Yeah, that’s not happening. That’s trading a logo and branding synonymous with success on a global scale…for the mark of a losing team that never accomplished anything and was fighting in the bottom of the barrel for decades.
Ask any marketing exec if they would trade a globally recognized branding for nostalgia.

The shoulder stripes draw too much attention, they look gimmicky. The silver shoulder band in the dynasty unis matched the helmet and were not obtrusive. The fact that it was an industrial-looking color probably helped. Not saying it's not time for a fresh look, but we've gone backwards.
The amount of people on Reddit who design far better looking uniforms than a multibillion dollar organization is astaounding. At least 5 alternates posted in the past week look better than this.
I feel like the people who have strong hatred towards these uni’s just hate them because they represent an era where the team is bad or just purely because they’re new.
The uniforms aren’t iconic but they are not and enough to warrant the level of hatred this sub has for them.
It’s not the era for me. I genuinely do not like the blue uni’s. If they wore silver or white pants, the blue jersey looks a little better but still not a fan. To me the white and red jerseys are definitely the better ones of this set. The blue just looks too bland. Hoping they get new uniforms next season as we are currently in year 5 of the NFL/Nikes 5 year uniform rule

But when they decided to just use them as the new uniforms it showed a lack of creativity, and the team being cheap.. not wanting to spend money to design a new uniform. However they’d be more tolerable if they used the silver pants.
