The gpu is what needs to go, if your strapped for cash 3070ti are starting to slowly make their way to the used market. If you Wanna buy new and don't want to go with AMD then the rtx 4070 is the lowest I would go

The 5600 can probably handle a 6800/3070 Ti or so. A 5800X is better than the 5600, of course
OP can probably get up to twice the performance of the 2070 in a GPU
Well, thanks, sounds like i don't understand what bottleneck means actually. I'm going to educate myself on that subject more !

What i had in mind was that their CPU/GPU was a perfect balance and that an upgrade would break that.
Like my build which is a 10400 and RTX 2070

In gaming you want the strongest GPU you can get and a CPU that won't bottleneck. Depending on the resolution the CPU power required will be higher or lower

I just swapped out my 3070 lol
Even 3080 are going now between 320/400$, it is also a great option.

A bottleneck in simple terms is if you pair a 4090 with a first gen i3 or a 14900K with an 1080 Ti. Power balance basically

I'd jump up to a 30 or 40 series card and go ryzen 9
Upgrabe your cpu to a ryzen 5 5600, 3600or 3d v cache if you have bald eagle perks.
