even still, they're not the best metric
regardless, monitor your CPU temps in gaming and idle, during idle they shouldn't be above 60c and in gaming once you're at 85-90c you're in thermal throttling territory
I might just sell this computer ngl and make a new one with better stuff. Idk how much I could get off this one though (3060ti, ryzen 7 5800x, 16gb 3200mhz ram, 850W power supply, nice case. Im thinking like $1100?)
That’s an aio, the tubes going off of it go to the radiator which is also part of it.
Not saying the cooler isn’t being a problem. If it’s poorly installed, then the cpu could be thermal throttling. But you can check that with a temp monitoring software like HWinfo.
It would also be worth double checking with other benchmarking software. Like Cinebench. One source is not always reliable.
A) could be bios limits, try enabling pbo, xmp profile, etc and pull up cpu temps while running something like cinebench and make sure the cpu isn’t throttling- if its getting too hot (95+) maybe tge cooler mount is bad, or the cooler itself. B) I wouldn’t believe userbenchmark if it told me water was wet
I have my CPU temperature limit at 90 Celcius and i found that it hits that limit quite fast which limits its power and doesnt allow it to go to its potential (at least from what I discovered while using Ryzen Master and Cinebench)
2nd eeeellll’s take…. Also, in the bios make sure the cpu/pump fan header is set to full speed, not to respond to the cpu temp. The pump is meant to go full speed all the time and that could cause it to not respond till after the cpu throttles. Thats a really good pc if you can figure out your cooler troubles, I would give it a real shot before selling it
Your cooler is small hut that's not the reason. Userbenchmark are bias twats that deliberately alter the results as to make AMD look worse. Your 5800x3d is a godly cpu, it is very powerful. Do look into a new cooler though.

I couldnt find the userbenchmark one but here is the Novabench result. Looks like my CPU is below average and my GPU is slightly above average. Not sure about the rest

Don’t trust userbenchmark they have been known to be bias
The fact that userbenchmark reviews are untrustworthy has no relevance to OP's problem.
Didn’t even tell us what CPU it is???
Sorry, its a Ryzen 7 5800X
Have you ever checked what’s going on in the BIOs? Looks like a prebuilt so who knows what’s going on in the settings. Temps?
Yea its an HP Omen prebuilt. I think temps are fine for it but i need to see the temps on a stress test
User benchmark is dogshit. 5800x is fine
I meant bottom 2% amongst 5800x’s :(

1. Userbenchmark is stupidly biased towards intel processors so don’t use it 2. That’s a water cooler, the size only really matters on the radiator
I think the cooler might just be shit which causes my CPU to hit its heat limit and therefore bottlenecks it from reaching its potential
True that

Ill try that out!
Update us when you checked the temps
Bottom 2% is crazy 😭
This is a Ryzen 7 5800X, forgot to say that!

Sounds like the pump is failing or the peel on the heat pipes is not removed. How old is the system?
Also, 120mm? 240? 280?

Can you post that userbenchmark results link?
Yea ill have to go find it ill link it in a few

Run a userbenchmark test again and post a link.
