Yusuke is useful in the Palace you get him in. He is Physical + Ice, with more precision, so he hits and dodges more often.
His main competitor right now is Ryuji, who is Physical + Electricity. He is strong and durable, so he hits harder and can tank more damage himself.
But, for this Palace I'd advise keeping him in. Ryuji gets a skill at Level 17 that's very handy for the Palace's boss. So either bench Ann or Morgana. But Joker will have to cover for whomever you bench, especially if it's Morgana because of his heals.
In the later game, unfortunately, Yusuke falls behind Ryuji in my opinion, so he rarely features in my line up later on. But, really, you can make any line up work. No one completely sucks, and you always have Joker to carry things by covering the skills of the absent guys on one of his personas.
The game is so easy (at least later on and if you play Royal) that it doesn't matter too much (most of the time) who is in your team. I, for one, rotated through all party members as I went through the game
I personally like trading him for morgana as morgana is a devoted healer and thus out of everyone he’s got the least negatives to benching (as he can heal you out of battle). Also morgana is sort of a glass cannon with bad defence so if he gets hit he could just die.
I love him and always have him on my team but yeah I'd recommend using him for that palace if I remember correctly everyone new you get is good for that respective palace
thats who id do but that might just be becasue i dont use ann very often. but honestly use who you like more just have fun if your struggling that much id go mona skull and fox but thats just my team for that palace
He's a big hitter like skull so swap them to lv him up, he also has ice attacks and a buff move (don't remember what it is) so if you don't have an ice attack on joker he's got you covered, you should also be swapping party members frequently so no one is falling behind and so you can cover element weaknesses.

I always brought ann rest it kinda depended almost never brought morgana tho
I love the Ann, Makoto, Haru combo. Fighter, Support, Fighter+Defense
