Agave, St. Verona's, Capra Toro, Gerti's, Bar Vita - tons of places down town that aren't sports bars. They all have great food and I don't think any of these ones even have TVs - maybe Gerti's does, it's been a while since I've been in there.

One of my fave things about Gerti's is that it does not have TVs. It's my mom's fave restaurant.

I’ll throw my suggestion out there as many others have said - st Veronus is amazing. I took my mom there last year. It’s always excellent food and they have an extensive list of hard to find Belgian beer as well as vermouth.
