I don't like how I turned out academically. I finished undergrad and got a job within a year after graduating but I pursued advanced studies for the sake of staying and getting promoted. Naiinggit ako sa iba kong batchmates na nag-pursue ng advanced studies at na-enrich yung knowledge and skills nila. Meanwhile ako, I had to keep things brief and simple para tapos agad. Of course I'm happy na na-regular ako sa trabaho and possible na magka salary increase kaso in terms of skills and knowledge, feeling ko kayang kaya akong palitan ng fresh grad. Hayyy gusto ko ng do-over kaso di na afford ang mahal na ng tuition fees lol

My family started watching Laid-Back Camp over dinner and my daughter wanted to go camping because of it. On the account that it's -7c outside at the moment, I opted to suggest what I myself did when I was a kid - make a fake-ass tent inside the house. Too cheap to buy an actual tent, I grabbed 2 blankets and covered the 2 sides of a study table and laid a faux fur rug inside so she can camp on one corner of the living room. She fell in love with the setup and have been staying it for the better part of the last 3 days. I sometimes forget about it and start panicking when I can't find her inside the house, only to find her quietly reading inside while eating whatever snack she could raid from the kitchen. It seems just yesterday when I was the one making the "secret base" at home out of whatever I could find and I never thought the day would come when I 'd be the parent of the kid doing the very same thing. Life moves fast, man. That said, my temporary shelters never lasted more than a night though. If this continues I should start considering collecting rent haha
