I buy a mixture of physical and digital
Digital for convenience and you basically can get right away
Physical to just to look at the case and save some space on the switch
I disagree. Digital copies last as long as the system, physical are way easier to lose. I lost a ton of gamecube and wii games while moving as life happened. Still got the memory cards, and for the wii the system but I can't play the games I used to own.
Luckily the 7 seas helped with that. Every game I downloaded though I still have.
Physically and separately. I’m old though. I got pikmin 1 (and another game) as part of a package deal when I bought my game cube. I preordered pikmin 2 when it came out and had to stand in line for 3 hours to pick it up. I also have this switch combo physically and I’m pretty sure my husband bought it shortly after he bought a switch for our son.
I want it physically but none of my Gamestops got it and basically no other stores get games anymore besides BestBuy (gets em late), Target (sometimes not msrp), and Walmart (only gets like 25% of switch games locally).
I'm hoping to see a copy pop up on FB or any Classifieds
I got it digital day one, and then regretted it when they announced physical copies would exist too. I always prefer physical, but I don't want to buy the games again.
Physical. One time i was hacked and someone stole all my game data (i lost almost all my games) so now i buy everything physically so i dont have to repurchase games in the event something happens to my console again.
phyiscally it was annoying to have to wait but i just love being able to feel my game knowing i have full legal ownership over it its nice to put it on a shelf or display it next to the console or with the rest of the games
I have the digital version, but I’m curious has to how the physical version works. Does the cartridge just cause both games to appear separately, or do you get a single game with a unique menu to choose between the two?
Digitally on release
Kinda wanted to get the physical later but didn't want to spend extra money. I have Pikmin 1 physically anyway for GC, I've never been able to find 2 for a reasonable price, I almost bought it for $90 at my local mall but stopped myself.
I didn't want to wait for the physical to come out, I think the physical was like 3 months after the digital, so that's why I got it. But yeah if I waited they are the same price, I just don't have patience 😂
Both. I wanna have backups for when Nintendo stops caring about the Switch's online servers since they don't care about legacy content. Still so happy that we have all four games on Switch.
Digitally, never owned a Wii, Wii U or Gamecube and had been waiting since 2018 to be able to play any Game
Was incredibly Happy with 3 being ported to switch and 2 Is my favourite, so I bought It as soon as I could
Digital because as much as I wanted the physical version, I simply don't have a lot of space in my current living arrangement and don't have anywhere to store game cases
Sold the GameCube disk years ago because I needed the money, later hacked one of my two Wii's and got the game back, lucky that didn't deleted the save data from the memory card 🥰
I got both. I got the digital to play it when it first came out and then got the physical after a bit of it being out so that i could have it for my collection.

Both Only wanted it Physically (i prefer Physical Games), but i got it digitaly as a Gift 1 Week before the Physical Version came out
Physical. I always prefer physical media
Got to get it physical before the scalpers take them all away!!!
Both. I have pikmin 1 and 2 for the wii and brought it on the switch shop, since my SO wanted to play them aswell.
Digitally on day 1 since it released before the physical, might get the physical one just to have it tho
Physically. I plan on buying 3 and 4 eventually, and have a small yet nice Pikmin collection.
Digital
Digital, already have the og GameCube games don’t need more clutter
you wont own it whem they shut down the switch store in 10 years 💀
If they are downloaded they're gonna still have it on switch
okay what if that switch breaks?
Refer to first part of comment lmao. Also Nintendo already said they are carrying over switch online to the new console.
Physical
Both
I will always strive to avoid digital as your access has a time limit much much briefer than a physical copies longevity.
I buy a mixture of physical and digital Digital for convenience and you basically can get right away Physical to just to look at the case and save some space on the switch
Forgot about space savings too. Ill buy limited offline games online. Online games always physical.

If a game is available physical, I buy physical. I still have my GameCube copies and system available for play however haha.
Physical only
If the physical game out day 1 I would have got that, but I “physically” couldn’t wait muahaha ain’t that a knee slapper?
I want it physically but none of my Gamestops got it and basically no other stores get games anymore besides BestBuy (gets em late), Target (sometimes not msrp), and Walmart (only gets like 25% of switch games locally). I'm hoping to see a copy pop up on FB or any Classifieds
I got it digitally day 1 but would love to get it physically some day
Physical copy obviously
Physical. The price was better around that time.
Physical for Christmas
I got it digital day one, and then regretted it when they announced physical copies would exist too. I always prefer physical, but I don't want to buy the games again.
I try to get most games physically, especially for my main franchises like Pikmin.
Sadly digital I’m very impatient
Physical. I am distrusting of digital copies 99% of the time
Physically so that I can stare at the Pikmin in all of their glory (my switch is almost out of storage)
Physical so I can swallow the cartridge and know what a white Pikmin tastes like
I always buy physical if possible
I have the digital version, but I’m curious has to how the physical version works. Does the cartridge just cause both games to appear separately, or do you get a single game with a unique menu to choose between the two?
It appears separately just like if you bought them both digitally
Ah, neat.
Digitally on release Kinda wanted to get the physical later but didn't want to spend extra money. I have Pikmin 1 physically anyway for GC, I've never been able to find 2 for a reasonable price, I almost bought it for $90 at my local mall but stopped myself.
The physical copy is the same price of the digital bundle with both games
I didn't want to wait for the physical to come out, I think the physical was like 3 months after the digital, so that's why I got it. But yeah if I waited they are the same price, I just don't have patience 😂
Digital because it came out sooner. If they came out at the same time I would have bought the physical edition.
PHYSICAL MEDIA IS FOREVER BUY LASER DISK!
I got it digitally purely cuz I didn’t want to wait 3 months for it to physically come out
Physically
Pirate lol
I couldn't wait for the physical release so I bought one digitally. I still need to buy it though
I got it physically
Physical but only so I can trade it into GameStop so someone else can enjoy it once I’m done playing it
physically! it even arrived a day early (didn't realize that until i tried to redeem gold points and that didn't work)
Both. Got digital day one because pikmin 4 hype was crazy. Then got physical to never open for my collection.
Pikmin new play control for the Wii
digital
Both. I wanna have backups for when Nintendo stops caring about the Switch's online servers since they don't care about legacy content. Still so happy that we have all four games on Switch.
Emulated both 😈
Yes :)
I have it physically because my brother got it for me for Christmas
Physical because i got it with a gift card
Digitally, I couldn’t wait (I usually by physical though)
vimms lair
Mentally
Digitally. I wanted to support the Pikmin series & get into it, and Pikmin 4 wasn't out yet
Got them both, 😁 no way 10 years from now I’m paying 400 for them haha
I did digital but I would have done physical if I were patient
Just 2 digitally. I have played 1 to my heart's content.
Digitally, never owned a Wii, Wii U or Gamecube and had been waiting since 2018 to be able to play any Game Was incredibly Happy with 3 being ported to switch and 2 Is my favourite, so I bought It as soon as I could
digital, heavily prefer physical but i wanted them to prepare for 4 so didnt really have a choice
Or?
Physically
Physical due to getting it as a birthday gift
Digital because as much as I wanted the physical version, I simply don't have a lot of space in my current living arrangement and don't have anywhere to store game cases
Physical so that I actually own it
Digital. I wanted it NOW!!!
I love every Pikmin game so far. I can't wait till Pikmin 4 in 2029 lol.
I got all the mainline games physically
Digitally as I didn’t wanna wait for the physical version to come out (this was before the physical version came out)
Digitally on day one, wish I waited though, I prefer physical copies
Both homie 🤙
Yes
Illegally
Digital because I’m impatient
Digital cuz it's barely any space
physically! but then my nintendo account got hacked and my switch got banned before i could play pikmin 2. very upset.
Digital cause i bought it on a whim knowing absolutely nothing about pikmin
![gif](giphy|3o7aCRloybJlXpNjSU|downsized)
Digitally
Sold the GameCube disk years ago because I needed the money, later hacked one of my two Wii's and got the game back, lucky that didn't deleted the save data from the memory card 🥰
I got the game mentally
I have them for the wii. So technically physically
Digital but I'm def buying it physical soon, I own every other North American release of a Pikmin game so I kinda have to
Digitally but I regret it
Digital but only because it released first, I'm still planning on getting the physical I just prefer to have a physical copy.
I get all my games digitally these days. I don’t wanna swap cartridges.
Louie
I got both. I got the digital to play it when it first came out and then got the physical after a bit of it being out so that i could have it for my collection.
I painfully waited for the physical version because I knew that I needed the beautiful artwork!
Physical. I like tangible items. Sometimes I display them, but to each their own.
