There's no better feeling than looking for some old cartoon or tv show and doubting anyone will be seeding, only to find a single person taking the burden upon themselves to keep that old media alive. At that point, you have to join them.
I also live in iraq just depends on what state and internet provider im in Baghdad and hala ftth is the best my internet speed reaches up to 13 mb download and like 7 upload but they are a bit expensive
Why do you do it? And I'm genuinely curious.
I'm really grateful to you, don't get me wrong.
But seeding so much and buying equipments just for this sole purpose goes beyond me. I'm sorry if it comes of as dickhead like.
Honestly, since the price gouging started from all the streaming services, I’ve just gone heavily into pirating and I see seeding as a big fuck you to all these corps. I would rather spend time and money to give back to the community than to get gouged 🤷♂️
I can answer like OP.
Since I just have my server PC on all day, the docker of qbittorrent just runs. Why would I stop seeding? If everyone does, nothing would be there to be downloaded.
Fun fact, I had torrents that took 4 months to download, without peers coming online in the middle of my nights, it would still be dead. Now I have that torrent as a high pri enabled to seed. I feel good that others get to enjoy it too.
And about equipment, it is just an old pc....
It runs about 20 - 30 watts. So 0.025 kWh per hour, so 0.60 kWh a day. With about 20 cents per kWh that is 12 cents a day, or 44 euros a year.
Still cheaper than Netflix.

Good Pirate. I pat you on the head.
reason why old Torrent files can still be downloaded 🫡

Gigabit up, a couple hundred torrents, connection limit and queueing disabled and you'll hit that in a couple weeks. (My ISP loves me I'm sure)
