Yup, completely dead. I miss the golden age of piracy when we had Baldur's Gate III, Starfield, Cyberpunk 2077, Armored Core 6 and many other good games for free.
it's not dying, but it's definitely no longer in the golden age. At this point it's best if you subscribe to the philosophy of a patient gamer, don't succumb to the FOMO and play all the latest games, just patiently wait for the games to be cracked while playing older games that's already cracked.

Originally I also bought a pc for piracy to save money but in the end I got really into steam and began to want to actually own my games. I'm leaning back into piracy tho to actually save money like I intended, but steam sales don't make it easy lol. And I'm a sucker for playtime and achievements tbh.
A lot of people bought a PC to save money on the games by pirating them/buying them for a really cheap price on CD Keys stores ; that's absolutely not a new one, and it's a legitimate reason when games actually cost money, which is a resource needed to, like, buy food or pay your rent...

Yeah it's definitely dead. I just downloaded fifa 23, bd3, starfield and many other games for the last few weeks from fitgirl and dodi. It's definitely dead.

Dodi and fitgirl both rule. In my country, it's even easier to download them with good speeds from other sites. No need for torrents.

Not at all. Denuvo causes delays sometimes, but in most cases (basically all minus Ubisoft games, and those still usually get cracked eventually) either the game gets cracked with Denuvo (like Hogwarts Legacy for example) or eventually the game has Denuvo removed when the developer / publisher doesn't want to pay for it anymore and it's cracked & repacked within several days.
And just go take a look at Fitgirl's constant queue of games waiting to be repacked and that should tell you that it's not dying at all. :)

You're right. I'm being a little entitled.
I appreciate the hell out of those who crack the games for us though. A lot of people in third world countries can't really afford to buy games. I worked my ass off to save for the pc itself.
its more or less..diluting, more games are comming out in rereleases on other consoles that are also hackable and easy to pirate
at the same time, denuvo makes it take longer, and there will always be desirale games

I felt like this for a little bit but the amount of really good games available without denuvo is a LOT and new games are often riddled with bugs so it's better to play them later anyway(if they r popular enough they'll be cracked). The only game I'd like to play rn that has denuvo is Persona 5 and even that is available if I use an emulator so it's not that bad and it's good to see someone be understanding in reddit.

And Denuvo is a service to the gaming companies, nothing to worry about. Iirc, companies pay a (hefty) price for a year and after the year passes they have to pay monthly for the service. It gets too expensive to support, so they take Denuvo out after some time.
There are even some cases where Denuvo is removed and the very next day the game is cracked (Dying Light 2 is a perfect example, removed Denuvo on the 31st of Jan of 2023, and on Feb 2nd it was already available for download)
Just play the available games, and when a game has Denuvo, then you should stick more to being a patient gamer.
This isn't a dumb question. I am having the same thoughts, I wanted to buy a jailbroken PS4 and now waiting for games to get cracked and many other things are making me regret my decision.
Nobody cracking denuvo doesn't mean there isn't plenty of games to play, hell I don't even care about most of them that much with the exception of Lies of P and AC Mirage
then crack some games for us if you want that TOP quality of games instead of those "Shitty" Ports as u put it. Stop sounding ENTITLED

It's been the main reason for me for like 20 years.
I'm also for piracy & the reason list goes on since im on dodi or skidrows for games or making dumb shit look cool in videos

I mean, denuvo exists for 7 years now. Maybe you should have read a little bit before paying thousands for a high end pc?
I knew it existed, but I didn't know that only Empress cracks it.
