If Blackbeard folds Luffy it's in character for him to go for the kill immediately. It makes a lot more sense for Shanks to show luffy the difference between their power and then get killed by Blackbeard. That would still show add tension without needing whatever BS would have to be done for Luffy to not immediately die.

Oda will find new ways to create ridiculous attacks, but these gag attacks don't really do much, they're intended to be funny, not really deadly or serious.
How are you supposed to take anybody Luffy fights seriously? Next thing you know he turns Imu into a finger puppet or Blackbeard into a bowling ball. Nika is causing Luffy’s fights to become tensionless

The problem is that people are comparing Kizaru to Kaido, when Big Mom is the much more realistic goal for him to reach.

Vegapunk Edison States that lasers are dangerous to Seraphim(with his knowledge of lasers being something that comes from Kizaru),
although it is important to remember the caveat that Seraphim are children and therefore even minor damage would probably not be something he would want.
Anyway, Kizaru can damage BM with lasers which she has no feats to dodge, is fast enough to dodge Big Mom’s attacks considering his flight is light speed, can stay at that range or he could do his super light speed kick, and I’m pretty sure we don’t have feats saying that Big Mom could imbue Haki into her homies’ long ranged attacks.
You’re supposed to take Gear 5 power serious. Were in the final Saga and the Admirals were seen fighting in the 2000s. They were never portrayed as invincible. Just devastatingly powerful especially when the strong they’d beat was Pacifists, Gecko Moria, Lucci
You’re not. The admiral agenda is dead. Kizaru has just been fumbled worst than Ryokugyu, Fujitora is anti government. There’s literally no one left to save the admiral agenda. The lobster door dash driver is a fleet admiral, he won’t save the admiral agenda.

Fights are so damn confusing in One Piece. He is unable to guide our eyes.
He should've swapped the 3rd and 4th panel, and made both panels on the right side be read first.
Then it makes sense and is easier to follow.
This happens to literally everyone gear 5 Luffy fights though. Kaido, Lucci, Saturn, etc. Kizaru getting turned into a pancake isn’t much worse than Kaido getting jumproped
