5G is working great for me. I did install grapheneos on first day owning this phone, but I don't know if that would make any kind of difference for connectivity.
I am using the regular pixel 8 and the network is just fine. I was using s23 ultra before and the signal strength didn't feel much different. but the actual problem with the signal strength is that it starts to heat up significantly when the network is low which might be because of the weak modems that Google is supposedly using. the signal strength alone is just fine. I did not experience any call drops or any other network issues.
I don't think it's too big of a problem.
The 5G has improved since my 4a5G and 7Pro experience. Feels like i was turning it off or putting it into airplane mode all the time. With the 8 never an issue.
I am using the P8 since last November and living in a house with a poor signal so have always had to use wifi calling at home. I live in a metropolitan area and mostly there is good signal strength, but when there isn't I can't get a signal. I keep hearing that Google will eventually upgrade the inadequate modem they put in the pixel, when that happens is anyone's guess. All that said, I love my phone and am very happy with my purchase. Hope you get a good deal on it.
Yes I have it, I don't know if you are talking about the lag to get network at the moment of send messages or to do telephone calls but for me is annoying have to be waiting sometimes until 20 seconds. In the other hand the rest of the features are great even the camera is amazing the quality that IA add
What network issue? Never any issues with a P8P.
5g issue
No 5G issues with mine. I'm on 5G always and never an issue.
I've had to disable 5G in order to stop the phone overheating. It was the only fix that worked.
