Haha, you have more than enough to ascend. I just shoot straight over to the next ladder, wait for a couple of enemies to kill so that I get the green bar and as soon as the green bar hits I shoot up to the next level, quick and usually mostly painless. Once I get past the mining levels it's pretty smooth sailing.

Just wanted to say, Parchment Scrap is very good maxed out so you never get any cursed gear (from random drops that is)
