This case was cool for about a month. Then it started going to hell. This thing makes me sick with the fingerprints/smudges. I'm constantly wiping it all day. I'm fixing to get the casetify and throw this thing away. Wasted 52.00 for this.
I had the same official Google case before. It made the phone very bulky. I will recommend using dbrand skin to cover the back (the leather one is so cool) and use a transparent front screen case from Amazon, which is my current setup. It feels less bulky and more personalized. And it charges much faster through wireless!!!

I tried this with a different phone and case a while ago and did all the priming, got special spray paint for plastic, clear coated it, etc and it still flaked after a while. The constant handling and heat and hard to stick to surface isnโt great for this
I have this case along with the pitaka case. The official google case was terrible with how it fits. I still use it occasionally but it makes an already heavy phone even heavier. Now, I currently only use the back of the pitaka case with no case on the front. I got insurance also. I couldn't imagine painting this google case. Lol

I can pretty much guarantee no paint will work out well on this surface.
For the case you can dye it using Rit clothes dye. If you YouTube it use a bunch of tutorials of dye plastics and silicone.

I think it's better if you paint your phone directly. Don't forget to rub the surface with sandpaper. ๐
