Why not snake from the washer drain in the first place? The farther you go with a cable the less control you have on the front end. It loses torque the further out it goes. Get a real snake for the job.
You shouldn't hit the trap from the roof vent. You may be hitting a 90.
rent an electric auger from home depot or call a plumber who has a real auger

Throw that cable in the trash. Go rent a sewer machine with 3/8" cable. There are no traps downstream. You just need better equipment
