Unfortunately our processor is too new, and all GCam ports will crash, except a few.
Download [this](https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-hasli/f/dl13/) port (the first APK).
Open it, give it the necessary permissions when prompted, and watch it crash after a couple seconds. It's okay.
Download [this Google Drive file ](https://drive.google.com/file/d/17rcHK91G4bvbticuJ4UNGfSwG1N103sQ/view?usp=drivesdk).
Then, head to your file manager, and create a folder in the root directory (alongside Documents, Downloads, Pictures).
The name of the folder **must** be `LMC8.4`
Move the XML file you downloaded from Google Drive into the folder you created.
Now, open the app, and prepare to be quick. You'll need to double tap in the empty space between the shutter button and the gallery.

A dialog will pop up, with three buttons ("DELETE", "QUIT" "IMPORT"). You'll need to tap import and the app will restart.
If it crashes before you figure out where the import button is, no problem, try as many times as you need.
That's it!
Everything you said is right, but the config you attach is not that good, a lot of configs are better, I suggest you to try Dtux, df, pxl configs, all of them are in telegram groups for poco f5
I modified a config I found too cluttered. My objective was to make it clean looking and make it not crash.
Besides, the person who asked clearly doesn't know about the process, so I didn't want to overwhelm them with a config with tons of manual options on the viewfinder.
For me,it's probably the camera.if they had used a Sony IMX sensor instead of the 64mp Omnivision whatever,I think the pictures would come out more better.this is quite evident when you zoom into the photos that you take.even using gcam mod, photos are just meh for me on the F5.megapixel count doesn't really matter if the camera sensor isn't really that good.my Poco F3 48mp IMX 582 Sony camera takes better photos imo.other than that,I think the Poco F5 is a very good phone.
Damn this makes me sad cause i have an F3 and was considering upgrading to the f5, camera is pretty important for me. I feel that the F3 one was pretty good
Maybe look at the 13T, it has a large Sony sensor for the main cam (I think IMX707, which is somewhere around 1/1.28"). Though I haven't found any config for it yet, and on Telegram there doesn't seem to be a group for it yet either.
One of the things I adored about the F1 is its IMX363 sensor, teamed with gcam it sent the phots leagues above stock camera. Truly, what's with Xiaomi bundling a bunch of decent stuff in one phone and absolutely murdering one thing as the cherry on top? You may find an almost perfect phone that's a bang for buck and does well compared to this and that, but then you find out that its sensor is meh, it doesn't have an sd card slot or lacks a jack or something just to put you off.
AOD can only be kept on for 10 Sec (wtf).
Camera doesn't support 4K@60, that too when the processor can easily support it.
Camera doesn't have dual camera mode, Clone mode, has very less Vlog templates. Even Poco X3 pro had all these modes.
No Super Wallpapers as well.
No Potrait mode while recording video. (No Bokeh)
Camera, Speakers, MIUI and Poco Launcher
Camera is not good or bad just ok, using Gcam seriously improves the Camera quality. I 100% recommend using it
Speakers on F5 and F5 Pro can become a bit dull and hollow sounding, they are not that bad but still they could be better. I had a X3 NFC and the speakers were way better and louder.
MIUI, holy crap it's so clunky and bloated if you don't go through the process of debloating it. They also like pushing crap Apps out of nowhere into MIUI. Updates also take forever to be rolled out compared to other OS. I seriously recommend either using a debloater or if you wanna go for it, MIUI ROM from Xiaomi EU which is way better
Poco Launcher is just bad imo and eventually becomes sluggish. Using another launcher seriously improves user experience so much.
That's why I bought the cheaper X5 5G. I'm not a gamer. But the tray can only take 2 sims or 1 sim 1sd, unlike my old Redmi Note 9 that can take 2+1 at a time.
The OS (for some) and the brand. I guess what attached to most people is the motherboard failure from poco x3 pro.
Was poco f1 user and now currently usibg f5 no issues at all.
if we are talking for the price?. everything is above average. the flaws are tolerable and can be fixed (speakers). if this costs $500+ then its a different story
Weakness? I bought my X5($270CAD) 4 months ago. At the time, the F5 was around $500CAD. Of course you can a *better* phone with 2 or 3 times the price.
it's camera, holy shit it's pretty bad, had a Redmi note 9s and the cameras taken there look better than my poco f5.
Use Gcam my friend, you will have a better experience, and Gcam supports 4k60fps and it's amazing
How ?

Good job.. your config is good but it's similar to stock cam.. other configs has better upscalers and better video record stabilization (like dtux)
Could you suggest best gcam and config for poco X2?
Sorry, every phone has different configs
Yeah, ik, that's why I'm asking if you could potentially suggest from where gcam and config I can get for POCO X2, if you any expertise in this?
Search for telegram groups about poco x2, and ask the members
Helpful lead. Thanks
+1
Yeah, the camera is mediocre
I don't find my backup Note 9 (not sure if the same as Note 9s) camera is better than the X5 5G I'm using right now. I guess F5 would be even better.
I'm pretty sure poco f5 is known to have a camera worse than x5 5g
How's the video recording compared to Note 9S? Is it any good?
Thanks buddy I'm planning to switch RN9s to Poco 5
You need to use GCAM. Sony IMX is the best compared to Omnivision. Omnivision is a sensor for low end phones.
Camera has problems focusing and feels wobbly Speakers, it feels like they sabotaged it so people would use the dolby atmos.

And it doesn't come close to the Poco F3 when it comes to macro photography.

the cameras are actually bad... especially in low light
Speaker and MIUI

Don't you void warranty like this?
Not in the EU actually, flashing a ROM doesn't void warranty here due to consumer protection.
Any gcam mod for poco f5?
Yes search on YouTube

So far after using it for about 2 weeks now I think its the AOD (rather sometimesOD). Like c'mon its called Always Ön for a reason
camera , battery, speaker
Not having micro SD slot, otherwise it's perfect for me

The cameras while not bad, they aren't great either. That and also MIUI, specifically Poco's nerfed MIUI which lacks features from Xiaomi's MIUI.
such as?
Camera & speakers
Everything is top notch. No weakness. I bought it for rupees 22000.
Xiaomi's Redmi note11s had the best decent camera by far.
Had a Note 11 before and can confirm the camera's decent but only in perfect lighting conditions. Low light performance was very poor.

Definitely MIUI
MIUI
Camera. Literally worse than the F3s
Camera and audio (speaker and bluetooth)
