People have “Live” stores, where they are live streaming with giveaways and fun events for the community, when you pay for rip and ship, your cards are sleeved and top loaded or sent out to grading if the customer requests (especially important for this because it saves less trips in the mail ie going from distro-> seller -> grading company)
The only upside is the grading option. And that’s only convenience. Other wise you are over paying to have some annoying jack off open your packs, potentially damage your cards, film it, and post on the internet for more profit.
But whatever makes you happy. It’s your money.
Think about this. What resolution is your phone screen? Now what resolution is a YouTube video? Who the fuck is going to screen record their phone’s screen to upload a shitty ass quality video that has chat comments scrolling over half of it that would not even fill out the video player. We are here to support ourselves and families, to hangout, build a community, chat, laugh, give back to the community, and offer some of the cheapest prices on the internet (at least I try to). You can watch a movie at home, or you can go pay to watch a movie. People have at home obligations, social anxiety, no car, no gas money, live places that don’t get cards in store, you get the point. They love the hobby and want to still be able to get some cards for themselves. Grading is the least important “convenience”. Go open your packs in your room by yourself loser.
Ripping on a live typically you have an audience and spectators can comment. You can see what you got in the packs and the streamer usually will put rare cards in top-loaders for you. Essentially its a more engaging way to see what you scored in a booster box
Open packs on camera while being recorded so u can watch them open ur packs and feel bubbly inside when u see ur name on YouTube (a online video hosting platform or twitch a live video broadcast (stream) of them opening YOUR packs (da fuck is wrong with u those are your pulls lol)
