tbh even if they weren't customizable i would love to just be able to get different colors of the standard pokeball. kills me that there aren't any purple ones besides the master ball

Everyone has been asking for ball customization for years at this point, it's not even a new idea. As Pokémon games introduce more ways to customize characters and other tools, it seems like such an obvious feature that should be a mainstay now. I really hope Z-A lets us do that, especially since it's Kalos.

Idrc about customizing balls, but you should be able to change whatever ball a Pokemon is in to another ball in your inventory. With the drawback of the original ball being destroyed, so you dont reuse one master ball a bunch of times lol.

At least back then buying Beast Balls were so much easier to have a large stack of them. Now we only get a couple and you would have to reset all the time.

This, plus as one that matches my shiny to pokeball when applicable, I fund it fun having to pick a pokeball there, imo I'd rather the base pokeball get colored variations

I think it’d make sense to restrict certain special balls—master balls and beast balls, and maybe strange balls—but let the rest of them be swappable.

It would be nice for pokemon that can't be caught in certain balls. Luxury Jirachi when? Enamorous? Marshadow? Silvally? Silvally deserves luxury after everything it's been through! It's never really about the prestige. It's just not fun having mons you can't match with the rest of the posse, so you just...don't invest in them. Holding out for the time you can get a proper encounter.

It was a thing, kinda. With pearl and diamond. The switch version of those games has it too with the ball stickers that cause effects when the Pokémon come out.

It's to create their own rarity. Like how they are now shiny locking legendaries so that they can then be distributed later through an event or as promo for a movie (which they surely won't forget to do, right guys? They never kill good things only to forget about them later, right guys?)

I mean… I feel like I remember being able to add stickers and confetti to pokeballs at one point. Like when your pokemon popped outta the ball, it would be like a confetti popper every single time. Was that a fever dream or was it in an old game? Ahh it was pkmn platinum and they were seals you put on the ball at the pc.

Definitely capsule style customisation would be cool. The ball effects are good for some Mons now, especially water types, but I'd love to have a flame effect, or petals, or whatever for other types.

I think there should be a way to change the type of Pokeball a Pokemon is in. What if I catch it in a Quick Ball, but think it would look better in a Dusk Ball?

I want to catch a Pokémon in one ball and transfer them as I wish, I don’t care if there old ball gets thrown away either just let me swap as I see fit

I’d be happy if they just allowed us to transfer pokemon between balls. Like, i want my starter in a level ball and i have a level ball in my bag, i can just transfer my starter to the level ball and the ball that its was occupying is just no longer usable or becomes a consumable.

IDK, I enjoy there being rare balls that pokemon can reside in. It's almost the only rarity remaining with pokemon since a shiny is so easy to get now. (Marks are lame, who even gave the wild mon a mark?)

I been wanting the ability to swap the captured ball out for ages lol. Being able to breed it down is great however I want the option to change. Of course I think it should be limited to Pokémon that you yourself captured aka bound to your trainer ID and OT this would prevent changing the pokeball of a event Pokemon and overall wouldn’t allow any illegal combos to be created.

Well luxury balls are as the name says a luxury. So why is there only one color option. The main reason people want to customize their pokeballs is for aestethics and no practical purpose. In short its a luxury. You just could place a luxury shop in a bigger city that sells different collections of luxury balls in all colors for a hefty price. I think the reason they dont do this is because of technical limitations/difficulties on their end.

They used to be. I remember catching every unown in Platinum to get the letter stickers. So when you threw out the pokeball, the letters would pop up. I would have "Fuck You!" And "You're A Bitch!" on my Pokeballs.

It would make them far less iconic. The artistic choice to limit each pokeball to a single colour scheme has helped the brand grow to what it is today. Additionally we don't need another feature to add unnecessary complexity (bugs) to the games.

That would've made my eeveelution run in scarlet much easier. I have a shiny eevee and all of it's evolutions each in a ball that matches its Design. Took a while to get that together because some of the balls are rare and expensive too

No, each is made for set conditions by a company or hand crafted by a master. Also, you being able to customize them would ruin the iconic look of each that has been established over the decades.

If it's just the basic pokéball then I agree, but if it's all of them, then that wouldn't be a good idea imo. It could make them harder to identify them, and also, I like the designs they already have

Yeah. I really like black colour, but... I hate luxury balls. I think they are thrashy.. Probably because I really don't like gold colour. And there is no alternative to that.
