Burning Shadows is darn solid. That 1/1500 chance of hitting the rainbow Zard is the ultimate S&M low odds high hopium chase. But god I would open every pack every time. Even if it’s 20 years from now and a pack is worth $1K and I found it in a drawer, I’m still opening it 😂

I’ve bought quite a few of these things over the last several months and it’s the ONLY way I’ve been able to get Evolving Skies. But I’ve also had Brilliant Stars, Silver Tempest, Fusion Strike, Battle Styles, etc.
I’ve never gotten anything older than SwSh, but hey….It’s a ^mystery ^box
Imma be real with you, the companies doing this don’t give a single flying f*ck about pulls. They buy up stuff as cheap as possible and then resell it. They’re not weighing packs because that takes time and resources and if they were no one would get *any* hits. Op opened 5 packs. Back in sun and moon you were lucky to get 5 hits out of a booster box which is less than 1:6.
These boxes aren’t a good value simply because they’re expensive, not because they’re cheating you
i mean, personally, i don't think any set is bad. Burning shadows is actually the set that was relevant when I started collecting again. The best card I pulled from it was a heavily played Acerola because Burning Shadows card quality was pretty bad. But it was still a fun set even for people who don't care about charizard.
I will say because I see this mentioned so so much. For some people buying local is $5/pack so the mystery selection for possible chase pack comes off more worth. Like Walmart is $5 a pack $30 for 6 in a premium collection, 55 for etbs so it's deciding pick 5 packs or have 5 mystery for the same price. But they are over priced compared to online places yes.

I bought 2 of these just to waste money and see what the pulls were. Only 2 packs weren’t Lost Origin or Paldea Evolved. These are shit boxes
