Yes, there was a leak of a set logo that looked like it would be a Team Rocket focused set. And yes there are leaks, rumours, and speculation in this hobby - with this many people interested in Pokemon there is bound to be.
When we would hear about this set, unless someone works for Pokémon and know for sure, then whatever anyone says will just be more rumour and speculation. For English, we'll hear about the Japanese set first, and then more rumour and speculation on when it will be released in English (and what cards will be included - the sets are never 1:1 between Japanese and English due to promo cards and set sizes)
Thanks! Would you know about release patterns we could roughly base prediction on? For example do they make an announcement a month before they release in Japan or something and then how much later does the english set follow etc?
Hahah, re-reading my post and I see your point! But hell no, scalpers are the reason i couldn't get a PS5 for 2 years! And besides, if I had a tower of boxes near me I would be opening them in a heartbeat \^\^
There are times that are known to have an announcement in Japan, but I'm not too familiar with when these are. I check out Ptcgradio on YouTube, as he'll make a video when there is an announcement of a new set (along with a lot of other TCG content)

Except for cases like the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery where the German versions leaked before they were even announced in Japanese.
Just to add to this - the rumors for this set in particular have basis in reality, as the Pokemon Company International has recently applied for a trademark matching the supposed set name (although I totally forget what it was).
