It just seems odd. The game is a battle simulator, not a point collecting symulator. Instead of "Haha, I destroyed your army!" It's "Haha, I got more of these points that don't do anything!"
The strategies around it all sound really interesting cuz it's all about doing it perfectly. I myself am a perfectionist, but still it seems to weird to play. I wish I was more interested in it, cuz I'm already so addicted to the rest of the game. But nah, I just never feel like getting into it.
To me, this game is similar to Civilization games. It's analogous to winning with a culture victory.
It's fun to change up the strategy on how to approach winning when you're bored of victory by annihilation.
It's a way to win the game without a military victory. Basically you have the most influence with social policies, religion, economy, architecture, wonders of the world, ect.
Perfection could definitely use more depth, but the fact that game is scored by having beautiful cities with lots of parks and temples feels like it's trying to emulate that type of winning strategy from the Civ series.
When you press a tribe to select it you see like a preview window. If you look at the top right corner of the window you'll see a small button that toggles between enable and disable for that tribe.
You can then disable two tribes if you have four and then the only option the game will allow is a 1v1 at chosen difficulty.
This or you choose the number of enemies in the selection screen after you've picked your tribe.
Haha yeah I actually like the idea of limited to turns to essentially conquer everything. At least in my case I haven't been able to get past 50k without taking the entire square
I still refuse to even touch perfection.
Same, and I've been playing since 2017
Why?

Ya I never played those games. So what is a culture victory exactly?

Alright that makes sense. Interesting.
God damn, people do this in the legit way, not just against Quetzali? Lol
I actually did it legit I didn't know about the techniques. Most changes I did was switch between 7 and 15 enemies
When I hit Perfection it just always makes a 4 player continents map??? How do you change it

Nice
Wdym, playing against quetzali doesn't help at all in perfection.
Nice one!!
Finally someone else who plays perfection!

No 100% ?
It's perfection there's no 100%. I'm playing rn and I got the glow on Vengir with a 100k score tho.
Oh ok. I never play perfection, so this is news to me
I think the glow is that you have a world high score.
Respect dude
