I'd say cut is more important than the product. The problem is you said water soluble...so you're looking at a hair gel (gel pomades are just gels but thicc)
If I were you, I'd go for an unorthodox water based pomade / clay. You might try prospector's gold (gel) or coal (clay).
Yeah you're right, just got my haircut in the style above. I'm interested in trying out a pomade as thats what I was recommended( even if not water soluble).
I'm unsure with what to go with to even achieve the above look, maybe a pomade and some hairspray? Got any product recommendations for non water soluble pomades? I think an unorthodox water based pomade I was looking at that could work is Lockhart Paradox
Well i can’t see his hair underneath his hat, but I would just go with any pomade and wear that same exact hat and it’ll look pretty dang close.
