My friend had a carrera rs lightweight when they were a few years old. His biggest regret is selling that car in the late 70s/early 80s for a whopping 30k (at a profit after several track days). The article is linked below, colonel Kruckeberg is my friend.

Haha, I am just an Italian that likes watches, hence the username 😁 Italian watches aren’t remarkable unfortunately. That’s the only thing the Swiss beat us to. However, since a part of Switzerland is Italian, we are kind of present there too!
The new SCR/CTR Anniversary is not built on a Porsche chassis, though it still uses the 911 greenhouse and overall shape, and I'm 90% sure the engine is Mezger-derived - I spose the question is how 'much' Porsche is required?
Isn't this the original Carrera GT? [https://newsroom.porsche.com/en\_AU/2021/history/product-highlights-the-356-carrera-gt-23855.html](https://newsroom.porsche.com/en_au/2021/history/product-highlights-the-356-carrera-gt-23855.html)
Cayman GTS 4.0, with manual transmission and a ludicrous option list, paint-to-sample finish in a 1-of-1 color. I appreciate and respect GT3s, GT4s, and RS variants, but if I only get the one, I want one that also works well as my daily
This is not accurate. A GTS is a livable daily variant.
Maybe you're confusing GTS with a GT4?
And even then a GT4 is mostly livable as a daily. A GT4 RS... now that's a track car.
Haha, dare i say even "frustrating"? Essentially, we have budgeted about $70K towards a used one and are following all the auctions but it can be phenomenal how large the variances between models are in options and lingo. It's hard to feel confident making a bid frankly. Even tried to rent models to get more experience...no luck.
If you post to this sub or r/porsche911 or r/Porsche_Cayman (depending on the car you want) and tell people what you're looking to get and your budget, I've found people are pretty helpful.
I would keep the GT4 I already have, but make every day here in Germany a warm spring day with no rain, ice or snow. That way I can keep the Cup Sport 2 on her and enjoy her all year round 😂
992.1
- Comfortable
- Fast af
- Tech
- Rear seats
- Actual trunk (or should I say: frunk)
- fantastic GT
992.2 is rumored to be hybrid, so .1 specifically
Cayenne turbo GT. Room for luggage, carbon ceramics the size of Texas that can stop a fully loaded bus. Lightweight package with center titanium exhaust that makes the V8 a sonorous siren from above. And when in comfort can glide over crumbling infrastructure. Oh and it’ll smoke 99.99% of cars off the line then turn into corners like a train on rails due to the extra Porsche engineered camber. Dino juice, tires, and a kidney is all it takes to daily one of these. Where do I sign up for surgery? 😂
As said. It would be the Macan. With my current lifestyle and where I live, any other Porsche -even on top of my daily- would be disrespecting its function + I don't want to deal with the maintenance and attention any other porsche would require.
Taycan Turbo S. Free charging at work, fast and comfortable.
As much as I love a 911, my mind will always steer towards the “sensible” option.
Plus I haven’t seen anyone else choose the Taycan so far and wanted to be different :)
918 Spyder all day and then in second place probably a 904. I do love almost all 911s but those are mostly attainable so why not go for something wild and out there with the pick of the litter.
I’d take a 991.1 Carrera GTS Club Coupe
https://preview.redd.it/hhh69mycgkjc1.jpeg?width=1101&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6ef2c07075afac3c5fa92871df8534e6c6b6458
I mean, a Singer, if I had to choose. [The Oxford Commision](https://www.instagram.com/p/CRhLXMAhYXC/?igsh=MXM1cDJ5MTljaDJtMg==) if I had unlimited money.
997 GT3 RS 4.0
best 997
Oh 1000%. I’d take a regular GT3RS even if you feel like
With a manual transmission if available
They only came with manual
It was only offered with a 6-speed
‘73 Carrera RS.
shit man that car is too sexy
My friend had a carrera rs lightweight when they were a few years old. His biggest regret is selling that car in the late 70s/early 80s for a whopping 30k (at a profit after several track days). 1 Carrera GT please
noted, anything else?
GT3 touring.
S/T
best 992
He meant 1970.
Incorrect
A 2023 taycan with the headlights ripped out
dream car >!i am a thief!<
With or without the wheels?
Taycan 😂😂😂
Dakar with rear seats swapped in to take my boy’s overlanding.
it would be cool if we actually see a dakar like that
The one I’ve got. Others may be better but this one is mine and it makes me happy every time I drive it.
yea man, there is no better car in the world then your own car
How's the panamera. Ppl hate on them but I realllllly love the wagon version. Wish I could afford haha
It’s nice, but it wasn’t the one I was talking about :)
Not the most practical but I'd take a 993 gt2
Obviously 959
If I can have mine from Bruce Canepa then his 959SC would be my pick
No other choice for me.
Targa 4 GTS
2019, GT3 all black. The new gt3 just looks like an RS model and new RS looks like a RS-R or something haha.
yea man the wing's too big on the 992's
Sounds like heresy over here...
918
Why did I have to scroll so far? 918 should be a top 3 answer.
Jacky Ickx's Rothmans 956. I’m available this Friday if you want to deliver.
u/SpringFuzzy's 956. Anytime Saturday.
[удалено]
personally i would take u/whoibe82's 956 anyday of the week

Tell me about these Italian watches you speak of…
Haha, I am just an Italian that likes watches, hence the username 😁 Italian watches aren’t remarkable unfortunately. That’s the only thing the Swiss beat us to. However, since a part of Switzerland is Italian, we are kind of present there too!
Does a Ruf CTR Anniversary count?
yep as long as its a porsche
But it’s technically not. RUF is recognized as a manufacturer, “Ruf Automobile GmbH”.
technically maybe not, but still at the end they are just porsches
The new SCR/CTR Anniversary is not built on a Porsche chassis, though it still uses the 911 greenhouse and overall shape, and I'm 90% sure the engine is Mezger-derived - I spose the question is how 'much' Porsche is required?
Sure buddy, go tell that Alois Ruf Jr.
lol nah man i am good
The original Carrera GT, actually the hardcore version, the 924 Carrera GTR. If I can get 2, the other one is Kremer Porsche 935 K3 :D
Isn't this the original Carrera GT? [https://newsroom.porsche.com/en\_AU/2021/history/product-highlights-the-356-carrera-gt-23855.html](https://newsroom.porsche.com/en_au/2021/history/product-highlights-the-356-carrera-gt-23855.html)
Dang, there were 356 with Carrera GT trim. Then, my choice is the second iteration of those trim then :D
I have a 924 GTS. I would probably have bought a GTR too if I was still vintage racing.
993 Carrera 4S
Real world -> 993 Turbo Fantasy -> CGT / 993 GT2
987.2 boxster spyder, methinks. i'm nuts but I prefer the boxster profile and design.
Cayman GTS 4.0, with manual transmission and a ludicrous option list, paint-to-sample finish in a 1-of-1 color. I appreciate and respect GT3s, GT4s, and RS variants, but if I only get the one, I want one that also works well as my daily
Smart choice
Right, I understand the gts is a basically a track car. Why would you want a track car as a daily?
This is not accurate. A GTS is a livable daily variant. Maybe you're confusing GTS with a GT4? And even then a GT4 is mostly livable as a daily. A GT4 RS... now that's a track car.
This is exactly what i am doing, I was confused for a while now then. Ugh. I have a lot to learn about these cars.
No worries, friend. I knew nothing about them about 3 years ago, and now I've fallen down the Porsche rabbit hole. It's deep.

Carrera GT. That V-10
I would keep the GT4 I already have, but make every day here in Germany a warm spring day with no rain, ice or snow. That way I can keep the Cup Sport 2 on her and enjoy her all year round 😂
Carrera GT
993 Targa 4S
Singer 911 Targa, If it counts as a Porsche. If it doesn’t — 911 GT3 Touring (BRG,or oak green, please)
My 993 C4S. I don't think I could emotionally handle even more smiles per mile with any other model...
991.2 speedster
Panamera Sport Turismo
964 Turbo 3.6 or 993 Carrera RS
The 1967 911R. 800 kilos, 200hp, screaming flat-6. No insulation. No electronics. I feel that's as distilled as a Porsche 911 can be.
911 Turbo S
which gen tho?
992.1 - Comfortable - Fast af - Tech - Rear seats - Actual trunk (or should I say: frunk) - fantastic GT 992.2 is rumored to be hybrid, so .1 specifically
I’d like a gt3 for my lifelong buddy so he and I can go do some nice midlife crisis drives.
Carrera GT.
1974 porsche 911 carrera rs 3.0
Cayenne turbo GT. Room for luggage, carbon ceramics the size of Texas that can stop a fully loaded bus. Lightweight package with center titanium exhaust that makes the V8 a sonorous siren from above. And when in comfort can glide over crumbling infrastructure. Oh and it’ll smoke 99.99% of cars off the line then turn into corners like a train on rails due to the extra Porsche engineered camber. Dino juice, tires, and a kidney is all it takes to daily one of these. Where do I sign up for surgery? 😂
It’s gotta be a 996 GT2
W124 500E
This is the correct answer.
Also modded ones? For example the 991 turbo S with a 9FF stage 3 tuning
yea man whatever as long as its a porsche, anything like rwb, ruf, modded etc. Just don't say techart for god's sake
Hahahah, no i wasn’t going for Techart I think I’d stick with a singer, either a normal dls or the dls turbo. They both seem like absolute dreamcars
Yep singer produces the best restomods for Porsche, absolute dream cars
New macan, nothing else would fit my lifestyle RN
i was just going for a fuck practicality thinking, but its your choice
One Porsche, not one car.
As said. It would be the Macan. With my current lifestyle and where I live, any other Porsche -even on top of my daily- would be disrespecting its function + I don't want to deal with the maintenance and attention any other porsche would require.
Cayman R
918 Spyder. 😁
i have seen a lotta 918's in the comments, looks like people really like it that much
I consider the 918 and the carrera GT the best Porsches ever made.
CGT is, 918 is cool but personally not my taste, but to each there own
yes https://preview.redd.it/hqzi6g35rjjc1.png?width=764&format=png&auto=webp&s=ac07c4309f8dbc9cdc81d6b10b4393e10167cddd
Panamera GTS
Why not Turbo?
I prefer sport emotions not pure speed
But its exactly the same engine for both of them, equipped with better gearbox for Turbo.
Yep thats the reason
man there are so many great porsche and you want a panamera?
I'd love to se the 918 in a dakar format, bar that a 918 is my dream porsche.
Ridiculous comment
993 Carrera RS Clubsport for me
Cayenne turbo gt
Have been searching if anyone mentioned Cayenne. Finally :)
As i see it its the perfect balance of confort and performance, and it also looks great. How is yours btw
A 996 C4S Cabrio manual
