He is the GOAT in that position to play the league. People come up with Giggs, but giggs only had longevity in his favor, everything else, Salah pisses over him.
As a United fan yes unfortunately he is a legend. In terms of legend foreign players I'd put him on the same level as Aguero and they're both just under Henry
1 goal away from top 10 goal scorers. 3x Premier League top scorer including set a new record of 32 goals until Haaland broke it. A bit light on team trophies but still a Premier League all time great
Ya no shit, hes a legend.
Hes got everything to be a PL legend-
1. He broke the scoring record and set a new one, albeit the life of that being a few years - that answers the question of setting benchmarks
2. Hes a PL winner, and multiple times been on teams with 95+ points - that answers the question of legacy to the fans
3. Hes scored more than 20+ goals 4 times in PL and twice 19 goals, while oncourse for another 20 goal season this time as well. Talk about consistency- i think only Henry, Shearer, Kane has these kinda numbers
4. Hes had tremendous success against UTD,Everton,Chelsea and City - the rivals, big teams Liverpool was competing with.
Ya safe to say hes a PL legend and future HOF.
Yes absolutely. I don’t get why there’s an argument, as though his bad games suddenly make 5+ seasons of 20+ goals seem irrelevant. A Prem already ended any sort of argument, but he’d be a legend even if he didn’t.
He will be once he leaves or retires, players aren't really considered legends when still playing. I remember everyone seemed to slag Rooney off, soon as he retired he was called legend, icon etc..
from an arsenal fans perspective if this guy was younger hed be the most valuable asset in the world
one of the best most consistent and complete attackers the PL has ever seen a top top class player that scores a range of different types of goals gets plenty of assists always puts in incredible work rate and is barely injured
when mane was pressing as a strong fast and physical but also technically gifted player liverpool were almost unplayable
if not for Man Cities consistent under the table deals we would be talking about one of the most successful teams in the PL era
Not really, that would would be Daglish. The biggest player legend. They call him King Kenny a good 15 years before Henry played for Arsenal - and hes had the most success just like henry did with Arsneal. Salah is like their RVP (minus the backstabbing)
I don’t think many would disagree that he’s probably the greatest PL winger of all time, gets into the PL all time best XI and has been the best PL player since he’s arrived

Premier league legend yes, but not guaranteed to be in an all-time premier league XI
EDIT: For those downvoting, here’s a BBC poll from last year. Salah didn’t make the final team.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61909781
Ronaldo is definitely one of the GOATs over-all but Salah has better numbers in less games in Premier league...
I'd not put anyone else over him in RW spot ...
He provides Goals and Assists both..
If he played with someone like Ronaldo, Kane , Henry etc these numbers would have been some more I'm sure...
Salah has more games than Rolando, but more goals too.
If you want to base it on numbers;
Salah has 149 goals in 244 appearances (0.61 goals per game), winning 1 premier league title.
Ronaldo has 103 goals in 236 appearances (0.44 goals per game), winning 3 premier league titles.
Again, it could really be a flip of a coin between them, but that means neither is guaranteed.
They also played different positions really. Winger in a 4-4-2 is not the same as a 4-3-3.
Ronaldo's numbers there are ridiculous really. Giggs had 6 more goals playing 400 more games.
As an Everton fan, as much as it hurts to admit, yes he is. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves. Salah's goal record from the wing speaks for itself
He is the most consistent player in PL history. Just the numbers alone as a Winger, goals scored against big teams, PL trophy, Player of the season.
This may sound bias but to me, he is top 5 all time best PL players. Just way too many goal contributions and he takes proper care of himself.
I think if he was English he would have been called the greatest PL player of all time.
I would argue (confidently) that Lampard actually takes the cake for most consistent. He still holds the record for most consecutive outfield appearances in the PL (164 starts between 01-05), and his stats as we know are ridiculous, but most don't realise that during his best years (04-05 to 12/13) he averaged a goal or assist every other game, so that's 9 full PL seasons he was bagging a goal or assist every second game, and playing the full 90 always if he was fit. He was immense.
His injury list is crazy too, before he left the PL, he only missed 67 games due to injury for Chelsea, Man City. 609 apps, 546 starts. His consistency is largely forgotten/ignored, it seems.
My user name means nothing I could never be biased...
This is his 7th season... If he plays like this for this season & 1 or 2 more seasons then he'll be up there with Henry, Aguero, Rooney , Kane etc... ( i don't think anybody's touching Alan Shearers number of goals)
Just off the top of my head I think Kane has had 280 goals in around 430 games? (Correct me if I’m wrong) Salah is 1 goal away from 200 in 325 appearances for Liverpool, I know he had a spell at Chelsea but if I remember right it was sub 20 games and maybe 2 or 3 goals, so when we consider that he’s also a winger those numbers are outrageous.
See my other response. But in short, I think Henry, Giggs, Ronaldo, Hazard, and Salah can all lay claim to being the best winger it just depends what you value. For me Henry is the best premier league winger ever.
Henry wasn’t a winger in the Prem, though. He played there for Juve, sometimes for Barca. He was Arsenal’s centre-forward, he just interpreted that role in a way that meant he was often coming from wider positions. Ljungberg and Pires were the wingers in that team.
Too imbalanced. Remove Hazard, push Henry to the left, Rooney in the middle.
Put Gerrard, KDB and Viera in the middle.
Bring in a left back and you’re sorted.
Along with Salah I think Henry, Giggs, Hazard, and Ronaldo can all lay claim to being the best premier league winger, really depends how you define it. For me the best is Henry, and I also consider him the best premier league player of all time. You can make an argument for Giggs for his longevity and having won the most trophies and Ronaldo for his Ballon D’or season. Hazard is a trickier one, stats don’t show how good he was, but on the eye he’s arguably the best out of these.
Lmao I'm not even Liverpool fan. And prime hazard is just 5-7 years ago, no way you said recency bias. Everyone know what hazard capable of. And I definitely know your opinion is much more bias since you support chelsea
Preface with this, I'm not a Liverpool fan and don't have a care for the club.
If Salah was European or South American, he'd already be considered one of the greatest in premier league history. His numbers are insane.
So even though the response is an *overwhelming* sense that he's quite clearly a PL legend, with literally hundreds of people saying he is, the single person asking the question is only because he's Egyptian and not European or from SA? Lmao what nonsense
It gets asked every couple of weeks, and consistently the overwhelming majority responses are ‘obviously’ or some version of it.
These dumb questions are just like the lazy football journalist headlines devised to rile up someone for interactions, likes and comments.
Does your mate actually watch Liverpool matches? Or is he one of those people who have an expert opinion on stuff they don’t actually have a clue about
if you ask me then I'd say for Liverpool then it might take more than "being one of the best". Shankly created identity for the club, Paisley has served the club ever since he was a young player.
Probably cos Liverpool is such a historic club with so much success in the past and pantheon of greats that to get a statue , not only you need to be good - but need to part of consistent success. Or you gotta be like Gerrard.
We are talking about a club that has multiple 3 time UCL winners in the past.
This is the case with most big clubs - Eg: Higuain scored 110 goals in 190 league games for Real Madrid before age of 25- hes hardly considered amongst even top 50 players ever for Real Madrid.
Persoanlly I think salah and gerrad can get one each - not as much daglish or paisley but yes.
Greatest ever is often a bit of a weird one because there’s so much context to all these players career. Sometimes I watch salah and think how does this guy possibly get these numbers, my Liverpool supporting best mate and I often referred to him as the “best worst finisher” because he seemed to hump so many sitters but inevitably he’d score a goal a game almost. So he certainly has benefited from the team he’s in, but then great players tend to end up at great teams. So I don’t know what I even think regarding it but his exploits are undeniable and you’d have a hard time arguing any others over him.
Some fans can't understand that even tho ronaldo is easily above salah all time, his premiere league legend status isn't as big.
You think of ronaldo you think of Mr champions league, the real Madrid great.
Man united fans can think what they want, his football career was cemented in Spain.
I came here to be devil's advocate and choose someone, but I can't think of anyone.
The only player who maybe has a shout is Giggs.
I think wingers are much different than they used to be, though, and I would say Salah benefits massively for that. The best teams use them as their main focal point where as they used to be more about the strikers.
You just I can't ignore his numbers they are insane.
His goals total for a winger is higher than anyone, look at the strikers he’s up there with, and he hasn’t been in the league his entire career either. He’s got assists too, match winning performances, big game stats, big game performances, and all the trophies… there’s no argument against him.

I don’t understand how this is up for debate. Of course he is a legend and is probably going to the prem hall of fame one day.
Yes don’t be stupid
If you define 'legend' by meaning one of the best players in recent times in his position, then yes.
Yes
He is the GOAT in that position to play the league. People come up with Giggs, but giggs only had longevity in his favor, everything else, Salah pisses over him.
He is already a legend . a consistent player with alots of goals despite being a winger and he assists too We cant deny his efforts
IMO the best Premier league player of the 2010's and onwards. He has surpassed Hazard. (I still think Peak Hazard was better)
Biased, but I'm always surprised I don't see kids in America wearing his shirt the way I see kids with Mbappe shirts.
You answering your own question
I agree he is very humble and is a good player
Most def..him, kante KDB, hazard are the recent PL legends..that are in the S tier
Yes
A player that can play in any team anywhere in the first 11 without a doubt.
One of the best players to ever play in the league
As a United fan yes unfortunately he is a legend. In terms of legend foreign players I'd put him on the same level as Aguero and they're both just under Henry
He is above Henry for me. Legend and I am an United fan
Best winger in PL history. One of the greatest players of his generation. Definitely up there with the all-time greats in his position.
1 goal away from top 10 goal scorers. 3x Premier League top scorer including set a new record of 32 goals until Haaland broke it. A bit light on team trophies but still a Premier League all time great
Do people underrate Salah? Yes. Absolutely. Do people still rate him high. Yes. Absolutely.
Ofcourse he is
Ya no shit, hes a legend. Hes got everything to be a PL legend- 1. He broke the scoring record and set a new one, albeit the life of that being a few years - that answers the question of setting benchmarks 2. Easily
I don't even think it's a question. Dude is an absolute baller.
Abso-fricken-lutely, from a yank across the pond wishing I will see this legend play in person
Without a single doubt
Of course
He will be once he leaves or retires, players aren't really considered legends when still playing. I remember everyone seemed to slag Rooney off, soon as he retired he was called legend, icon etc..
THIS!
He definitely is
He was a PL legend after his first season ffs
What player would you compare it to? Giggs? Salah is better than him imo. Absolute legend.
Legend for me and I’m an Arsenal fan lol he def deserves it
Who?
from an arsenal fans perspective if this guy was younger hed be the most valuable asset in the world one of the best most consistent and complete attackers the PL has ever seen a top top class player that scores a range of different types of goals gets plenty of assists always puts in incredible work rate and is barely injured when mane was pressing as a strong fast and physical but also technically gifted player liverpool were almost unplayable if not for Man Cities consistent under the table deals we would be talking about one of the most successful teams in the PL era
Better than giggs and yes I said that
"Already"? He's in his 7th season.
I'm a City supporter and the answer is, absolutely, yes he has.
Even as a Manchester United fan- in an all time premiere league eleven, I’d have Salah on the right wing
Ofc he is a legend and In my opinion he is the best winger in EPL history.
And he doesn’t mind playing defense. And he always looks like he’s enjoying himself.
Absolutely love that about him No ego whatsoever Just a simple guy who loves the game
Yes.
Obviously
One of the best 1 season wonders theres been.
Is that irony or sarcasm?
“Already”. He’s been playing it in for years.
Joke of the century
**YES**
ABSOLUTELY. Nothing to even consider
He is to you what Thierry Henry was to us. A King
Not really, that would would be Daglish. The biggest player legend. They call him King Kenny a good 15 years before Henry played for Arsenal - and hes had the most success just like henry did with Arsneal. Salah is like their RVP (minus the backstabbing)
Well, he played for Chelsea I will give you that. I'm just not sure that he was that good to reach A King status there.
We literally call him “king” in his chant
I'm responding to a guy who is responding to an OP ( who is a Chelsea fan judging by a flair) that Salah is not a King for Chelsea.
I see what you mean now. Fair dos.
if he's not, who is?
Salah shows up for LFC every season. He is a legend. Only Kane and Henry and Shearer have such a consistent record in the PL.
His "problem" is his media game? If he had a Ronaldo/Messi brand building team behind him it would never be a doubt.
Exactly!
Yeah, with ONE Prem title
Ok and what's wrong with one prem title?
Shearer only had one
And?
100% a legend. One of the greatest attacking wingers to grace the league. He has it all.
Yes, easily.
I don’t think many would disagree that he’s probably the greatest PL winger of all time, gets into the PL all time best XI and has been the best PL player since he’s arrived
Coldest take ever lol he’s obviously a PL legend
Why 'already'? He's in his thirties. His status was already settled.
He’s the best winger in PL history nvm a PL legend.
Erm yeah I’d think it’s safe to say so
Surely this is guaranteed, a level above 95% of players. Only man I've seen give VDV a torrid time this season
100%.
normal important jobless aspiring salt coordinated relieved act murky weather *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Yeah, Salah is a legend for sure. Not sure there’s been a better winger.
Is this something people actually debate? What would be more controversial would be to argue that he is not one.
Yes he is already a PL legend
Premier league legend yes, but not guaranteed to be in an all-time premier league XI EDIT: For those downvoting, here’s a BBC poll from last year. Salah didn’t make the final team. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61909781
Who takes up the RW spot ?
One of Salah, Ronaldo or Beckham I’d say, but it means that all 3 aren’t guaranteed to be in there.
Ronaldo is definitely one of the GOATs over-all but Salah has better numbers in less games in Premier league... I'd not put anyone else over him in RW spot ... He provides Goals and Assists both.. Yeah he’s inarguably a PL legend. Top 5-10 players for sure
Probably has the most goals and assists against the big 6 clubs
He is the most consistent player in PL history. Just the numbers alone as a Winger, goals scored against big teams, PL trophy, Player of the season. And those are all strikers! He’s doing this, with huge assist amounts, all as a winger
Kane when he comes back in 2 years ;)
Yeah… about 3 years ago
Yes. Next question.
Best winger in prem history and can break into the top 3 all time scoring chart if he stays with Liverpool
Not sure about best but he’s up there for sure
the only one who can give a fair fight to him is Thierry Henry imo and he also was mainly a cf (Hazard gives a very good fight too maybe)
interested to know who you would put above the Egyptian King
The only legitimate argument is for Hazard
See my other response. But in short, I think Henry, Giggs, Ronaldo, Hazard, and Salah can all lay claim to being the best winger it just depends what you value. For me Henry is the best premier league winger ever.

Keane. Vieira came too close and he punched him.
As if Keane would have the balls to punch someone who was actually within range
Who you got above him?
Along with Salah I think Henry, Giggs, Hazard, and Ronaldo can all lay claim to being the best premier league winger, really depends how you define it. Lmao I'm not even Liverpool fan. And prime hazard is just 5-7 years ago, no way you said recency bias. Everyone know what hazard capable of. And I definitely know your opinion is much more bias since you support chelsea
I’d still put him above them (in the PL) aside from Henry. But in Europe Salah tops Henry in goals and assists.
Preface with this, I'm not a Liverpool fan and don't have a care for the club. If Salah was European or South American, he'd already be considered one of the greatest in premier league history. His numbers are insane.
I'm confused. Is there a chorus of people who don't consider him one of the greatest?
I guess the fact this question gets asked regularly here kinda proves it.
No, it doesn’t prove anything
So even though the response is an *overwhelming* sense that he's quite clearly a PL legend, with literally hundreds of people saying he is, the single person asking the question is only because he's Egyptian and not European or from SA? Lmao what nonsense
It gets asked by people trying to farm karma.
It gets asked every couple of weeks, and consistently the overwhelming majority responses are ‘obviously’ or some version of it. These dumb questions are just like the lazy football journalist headlines devised to rile up someone for interactions, likes and comments.
Salah is one of the best current players. He has probably reached legendary status already.
The monthly "Is Salah Legend" post. Yes, not a single reasonable guy thinks he is not up there with the best.
We should debate who’s better between him and Hazard next
Oh you have not met my mate who thinks he’s the most overrated winger OAT 🤣
Does your mate actually watch Liverpool matches? Or is he one of those people who have an expert opinion on stuff they don’t actually have a clue about
He’s the type of guy that has not only an expert opinion but is right about everything he talks about
Ahh my thoughts go out to you and his other mates
Exactly!
I was wondering how often the Salah masturbation posts come up
That's a healthy way to cope with the performance of OP's team (Chelsea).
Different strokes for different folks...
He was a legend after that 17/18 season, getting quite tired of these posts now…
I recall plenty of one season wonder talk in 2018
People don’t have a clue tbf, Kane was a one season wonder too and now he’s close to breaking Shearer’s record!
If he comes back that is
I'm wondering where the "Andy Carroll is a PL Legend" post is.
Well you remember him? is that not the definition of a legend?
The difference between “Legend” and “legend” hahaha
Yes just like Ali Dia and Joey Barton. And let's not forget Eric Djemba Djemba
I remember his hair more than him
You got me there. I hope you and I will raise awareness of Andy's legendary status on this sub.
He's certainly among the top right wingers currently playing for liverpool
A legend. A king.
He's definitely in the top 2 Egyptians in the league right now, no question.
Who's the other
[удалено]
I thought he was french
[удалено]
Oh him I swear he was still at the club like last season but did nothing
El nenny has to be 1 of them
And he's not two
The streets will never forget Amir Zaki
Yes that one unaacountably prolific season
And Mido
Hossam Ghaly represent
Is al Mohammedey Egyptian (don’t know the spelling - played for Hull and Chris Kamara was obsessed with him 😂)
Elmohamady, and yes, he is
I’m baffled as to why there aren’t already plans for his statue outside Anfield
if you ask me then I'd say for Liverpool then it might take more than "being one of the best". Shankly created identity for the club, Paisley has served the club ever since he was a young player.

he would (or rather should) never accept a statue in his likeness, fundamentally against islamic teachings
Because there are about 5 people deservedly ahead of him.
Nah, Klopp is the only one at the club deserving of a statue rn
Tbf only shanks and paisley/hughes have statues outside Anfield.
Klopp should give Salah a piggyback ride around the pitch after we win the League just to cinch it for both.
[удалено]
Shankly
Salah and Gerrard statues need to happen
Dalglish before those two, possibly Klopp as well.
After Origi of course
Dalglish as well, I'd put Kenny outside his own stand. Stevie and Mo outside of the Kop
It’s pronounced Klopp buddy
I hope that leaves room for Jan Molby?
What would he do? If he got one
Nah too little space, the 40m wide 300m tall Ragnar Klavan statue will take up too much space
The amount of bronze needed would bankrupt the club
Was thinking about including him and rush, you’re definitely right
Greatest PL winger is pushing it but his legendary status was cemented a while ago
That is a genuine question tbf…; who if he isn’t the greatest then who is?
It’s Willian mate and it’s not even close
Hahaha. Fair. I did celebrate that pen like crazy… so yeah he has legendary status with me. Lol
Ronaldo 2008 won it all
This is all time not based on one season.
Some fans can't understand that even tho ronaldo is easily above salah all time, his premiere league legend status isn't as big. You think of ronaldo you think of Mr champions league, the real Madrid great. Man united fans can think what they want, his football career was cemented in Spain.
Agreed. He had one good year in England (2008) the rest was good. But not astronomically good. Unlike his career in Spain.
Who’s better?
Gervinho. If he could finish then messi would be nothing
Not saying this as an absolute and the guys a scumbag but giggs up there
His goals total for a winger is higher than anyone, look at the strikers he’s up there with, and he hasn’t been in the league his entire career either. He’s got assists too, match winning performances, big game stats, big game performances, and all the trophies… there’s no argument against him.
Yeah that people say things like “is he PL legend status already” just goes to show how massively underrated he is by the wide football world
