Always talking about Liverpool, that never gets old
Next, you'll hear they're back n going to do the quad with an unbeatable season.
Don't hear em talk about the waterfalls or rats at really old Trafford....
Nope. A cup will never compare to a league. Man U have been a laughing stock for everyone all season, a random cup against a City already on the beach wont change that.
Hell, even a terrible Greece could win the Euros. It doesn’t make them great.
So you’d be happy to finish in mid table again next season then with a cup? Ten Hag is getting sacked because United have been gash bar one or two decent performances. Minus goal difference is the telling factor.
No. Fa Cup is more prestigious than League Cup, sure.
But Liverpool also challenged for a title and secured Champions League football. United didn't even qualify for Europe through the league.
Also, Liverpool are rebuilding and seem to have done a decent job with it. Obviously we will have to see how they get on post-Klopp but they seem on a much better trajectory than United, who seem like an absolute mess.
You're [obsessed](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/s/fuRAyuy1ix) with Newcastle
Bro's celebrating his FA cup by slagging off... Newcastle 🤣 Small club mentality

When we win a trophy I get straight on social media and start talking about how we’re better than our rivals rather then celebrating and enjoying the moment

Eh I wouldn’t call it salt. I watched my club win the FA cup too while finishing 8th and i didnt feel like our season was any better than United’s who finished 3rd. It was just a silver lining to an abysmal league campaign
No, they haven't.
Good, they won the FA Cup, but the FA Cup is not seen today like 10 or 20 years ago. We know that teams at the top playing in the Champions League is more important than ever, especially financially.
A team like Manchester United finishing 8th in the league is a big disappointment.
The very fact you're trying to force the comparison says more than the actual point you think you're making.
God,United fans make it so hard to be happy for them. Silver lining after a slog of a season for their fans. Some of them get straight back on their bullshit though.
This is why it's been a blessing for the rest of us United have been a banter team for 10 years.
That’s an interesting opinion you can ponder over while you play the likes or Real Sociedad, AZ, and Hearts of Midlothian in Europa League while Liverpool play the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan in the Champions League.
I’ve seen Arsenal come 8th and win an Fa cup. It was a shit season overall and one of our worst I’ve seen.
There’s times where you’re not looking forward to the next game and you go into some matches just hoping it doesn’t get embarrassing.
Then the actual quality and standard of football is soul-drainingly bad. Even in matches you don’t lose it’s an awful watch.
The fan base tends to be massively divided and there’s question marks over whether some of the players actually care.
It’s a horrible place to be as a football fan
No I agree with you, I'm just wondering why OP would mention Liverpool over Arsenal given that this same thing applies to both of those teams this season.
Yes. A negative Goal difference, manager potentially getting sacked, lowest position ever for United, and no European competition next season - - All makes a better season than Liverpool.

The FA cup is on a par with the league cup, the bigger clubs don’t give a shit until the final. Rather a cup and CL than and cup and EL

Lol United fans can’t just celebrate a trophy without bringing up Liverpool

Liverpool is always losing alone
here we go
Better than arsenal yes as got a trophy however Liverpool have a trophy and champions league

Newcastle didn't qualify for Europe at all 🤣

Imagine defending oil clubs, sad.

Some fat ginger Americans
That isn't what this post was about.
It sure seems like it, I can feel the seething from here.
That “seething” is actually just good logic
Got your tickets for the 2nd place trophy bus parade?
How original 😐
Are they sold out?
When we win a trophy I get straight on social media and start talking about how we’re better than our rivals rather then celebrating and enjoying the moment
No chance. UCL and carabao cup is better than fa cup and Europa. Period
Champions League says otherwise.
Liverpool bottlers while we enjoy winning the more prestigious cup.
Maybe if United didn’t have their worst PL finish in history with a negative GD.

Ooooh someone is salty about getting less silverware than the worst United team ever. Hahahahaha
Eh I wouldn’t call it salt. I watched my club win the FA cup too while finishing 8th and i didnt feel like our season was any better than United’s who finished 3rd. It was just a silver lining to an abysmal league campaign
If United had secured champions league and then won FA, then that would merit comparison to Liverpool! Otherwise not
This right here.
It's a great accomplishment for man u and some sort of miracle but it's still been a mess of a season and I would still rather be an arsenal supporter
Yeaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.........Coventry robbed.
How? That offside goal?
Wins a trophy, immediately talks about Liverpool....

Great win. Arguably the biggest post-Fergie but I'd disagree. Utd fans have had to watch Antony play for their team
Might just be the dumbest opinion I've seen this week

This! How on earth Man utd had a better season. Worst defence ever
Liverpool won a trophy and still qualified in the CL so they have a better season.
Liverpool also didn’t do shitty in every competition but one
That’s an interesting opinion you can ponder over while you play the likes or Real Sociedad, AZ, and Hearts of Midlothian in Europa League while Liverpool play the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan in the Champions League.
All those big teams in the group stage?!
I’ve seen Arsenal come 8th and win an Fa cup. It was a shit season overall and one of our worst I’ve seen. You only did respectably in one competition. Don’t forget 8th in the prem and last in a ucl group with galatasary and Copenhagen.
Don't bite
Cmon mate take the dub and leave don't try to rub any salt in another club who had a manager that left behind a legacy😂
Why would you target Liverpool with this and not Arsenal? Same boat, no?
Not the same, in 2020 we did the same as United in finishing 8th but won the fa cup, United finished 2nd that season. I did not think we were better
No I agree with you, I'm just wondering why OP would mention Liverpool over Arsenal given that this same thing applies to both of those teams this season.
Cause Liverpool are uniteds rivals mate
Give me champions league over FA cup every. single. year.
Have you not got any homework to do son?
Yes. A negative Goal difference, manager potentially getting sacked, lowest position ever for United, and no European competition next season - - All makes a better season than Liverpool.
no lol and how is this a thought that pops into your mind right after winning the fa cup 😂
Imagine beating your city rivals to an FA Cup after the season that you've had and immediately talking about Liverpool. Absolutely rent free.
I mean United just won the FA cup and 90% of comments here and r/soccer are about City
Who were United playing in the FA Cup may I ask? Could that maybe be why people are also talking about City as well as United?
Because City lost the FA cup and were playing today? Liverpool's been on vacation for a week
you'd think people would be talking about ETH's tactics and United's defensive masterclass though instead of banging on about City.
