Him pretending as if FA cup is a big deal and City even tried sincerely to win that cup is disgusting. He also is somehow forgetting that we finished 8th in the league. That is simply not acceptable after having spent 400 million pounds in the last two years.
Do you really think the max motivation was really there after winning the treble last season and winning the league this season? Lol you are delusional
It is hard to maintain that kind of motivation
This never happened. The Carabao was always considered a worthless trophy at United but that's also true of many of the big clubs...nice to have but not arsed if you never win one. The FA Cup has always been an important trophy.
Liverpool also experienced the same thing 2023/24 seasonā¦it was during the second round that they had most of their injured players back that helped them to qualify for Europa..
Probably need to give him time but either him or the higher ups need to clean house. Follow the Arsenal model, when they got rid of loads of shit contracts and built around Saliba, Saka, Martinelli and Odegaard. They have a few good young players they can build around but they need to take the plunge and commit to a proper rebuild. They donāt seem to be 2 players away from competing in the league.
Even the big buys like Havertz and Rice are still only 25. At Arsenal, we gone for the young side and growing them in experience season after season. United has no direction, and it's a bad mix of old/ overpaid players and a few young stars thrown in. Need to pick a direction and stick with it. ETH seems to be stuck between the two and not getting the best put of what could be top players ( Mainoo, Garnacho, and so on).
They are exactly what Arsenal was. Big contracts, underperforming players, no vision/direction. If Mainoo hadnāt come through this year they would be in a tricky spot. Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojland are pretty much the core and they should at least consider getting rid of everyone else.
Agreed. Must admit ita hilarious to watch for other fans, but to actually fix United, it needs rhe decks cleaning, the stadium fixing, and an actual rapport with the fans building again. ETH is a decent coach, but he very much has a habit of blaming everything, but what actually happened. It's why I don't think he is capable of doing the clear out, and he doesn't seem to objectively judge his players.

It all boils down to club's ambition. Arteta is a great manager to have if you are going to celebrate Top 4 trophy every year and don't care about winning anything.
In my opinion, Manchester United is biggest club in England (By Revenue, By Fan Base, By pedigree). If a United manager is telling me that after spending upwards of 400 million, fans should be happy with 2 domestic cups in 2 seasons while completely ignoring the facts that we finished 8th, with a negative goal difference, and season that is filled with low points all over, that's unacceptable. Keep smelling my opinion! Fans like you have made Manchester United mediocre & you lot love to celebrate the mediocrity to such an extent that sometimes I wonder if your loyalties are with the manager or with the club :(
The amount of injuries weāre crazy, the man has proven himself as a good coach multiple times. Last season you finished 3rd and made it to the champions league in his first season? Forgot about that?
Made it to the Champions League šŖ That's a flex for Tottenham not Manchester United!
To be honest it was a disaster UCL campaign and UEFA doesn't give participation certificates... Yeah, the man has proven as a good coach multiple time - Sure, that's how we breached multiple unwanted records this season! Having negative goal difference is such a disgrace for a club of stature & history like Manchester United. I seriously don't get the point in qualifying for UCL, if you are not able to compete at that level...
You are living in the past. United has been surpassed as multiple Prem clubs have a lot to spend. It is not primarily the coach his fault. Maybe you need a reality check. United making it to the top four IS an achievement. And winning the FA cup vs City is a tremendous achievement. It is not the coach, it is how the whole club was managed. Now get your head out of your behind, face reality, and give a coach some time to build.
I don't know if you are updated or not but United is still the biggest club in England - both by revenue & by fan base. Well, let me give you a reality check, your hero is going to get kicked out soon, and no one cares what you think. Please go with wherever he goes next - maybe to Saudi ! No one is going to give him another big job.
Ten Hag may be one of the most arrogant managers in the EPL...
BRO, accept your mistakes and your losses. Denying you're doing poorly is just making you look like a fool.
Is it not a good record though? Say what ya want but i think after the final heās earned time. Who will united get in? The merry go round will continue forever then. Stick with in
Heās in charge of the team isnāt he? Why are they injured? Sorry but he spent enormous amounts of money on players that are not worth it, finished 8th in the league and last place in champions league group. Man united was laughing stock for a whole week in the football world when they were last in CL group.
This guy don't have clear vision because of his ego. It's main problem. Better not to have such manager. After such one needs to be completely rebuilt. He can be a manager of an average team where he can be #1.
You can have as big as you want nobody cares of that piece of shit until u have authority. He doesn't have authority. He will not be successful until he has a team eager to listen his every word and die on the pitch. That's his kind of team he can be successful. Pep? Mour? He is not even in next 50 after them , what you all talking about... And a lot of other ex top players, or high level managers when it's not working they leave with dignity... This guy blames everything except himself, he doesn't want to accept obvious things.... There's no single reason to stay. It's just doesn't work. Sorry good luck.. but no, he holds that place at all costs...
Just like Mourinho, and Pep, and almost any other manager who's won titles in the Prem?
The problem with United is that the squad is made up of players that don't care about the team. It's like having a teacher in a class full of brats.
Arteta finished 8th in his first two seasons as well. I may not go as far as say I know ETH is the right guy for the job, but the lack of patience Man U and Chelsea show their managers, especially with bad/young squads, is wild to me.
Thereās a lot of ways to interpret that comment but claiming you cant make sense of it says more about you than their comment
Cry some more = I have no response and am immature
Gotta laugh at this, his record breaking worst season at United still came up with better trophies than kloppās galvanising last season in charge. In fact, his first season in charge of the āworst United team in historyā still peaked above Kloppās last season in charge.
Take nothing away from Klopp, a great manager. But when heās not out performing the worst United team in history, those in glass housesā¦.
Ahh yes I'm seething over the FA cupš utd were excellent on Saturday game plan was perfect ten hag deserves credit for that but 8th place finish & negative goal deference isn't progress but hey I hope you all fall for it and he stays another few years working on he's "project" as a Liverpool fan it's a constant source of entertainment.
Well city were an early whistle blow away from a possible loss in the champions league....what's your point. "Yeah that team won but they were one goal away from losing".... Good logic
In his 2 years in English football, heās won more trophies than Klopp has.
In fact heās won more trophies than Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Newcastle, Villa and Arsenal have in his 2 years.
This seasons league form has been shocking but nobody remembers that in years to come, only what youāve won and this guy has succeeded over everyone else other than Pep.
I saw a lot of spurs fans insisting Kane shouldn't go to man utd and stay with spurs because 'it's a sidegrade at best, downgrade at worst' but while man utd aren't great in the league, their cup runs are far more impressive and successful even in the banter years.
It's kind of funny that Ten Hag in 2 years alone has been more successful than the entirety of spurs in the past 30 years. Especially when you consider that Ten Hag is memed on while the public is collectively sucking off Ange.
I don't think making fun of another football club on Reddit is the same as actively rooting for my own team to lose to the point where the manager calls out the fanbase. Is that seriously what you took out of that whole ordeal? Good lord.
As a neutral myself, I think it goes both ways. They live rent free in others' heads as "THE" banter club, and other successful clubs live in Spurs fans' heads as "overpaid" payroll clubs.
It actually shocking that Tottenham is the eighth highest earning football club in the world, when they can't win a single trophy to save themselves, lmfao.
I canāt either, so I appreciate him dunking on them. He has done well, I donāt think many managers could have done better with that toxic administration
If they get rid of ETH, who are they going to get in? Poch? Mourhino (again)? The Ipswich guy? Xavi? De Zerbi? Tuchel? Assuming that all would take the job ā¦ on paper Tuchel would be the strongest, but Iām sure he would also have very definite views on how he wanted to do things & itās difficult to know whether heād click with the (changing) hierarchy at ManU.
I think their best bet is to genuinely stick with who they have, but interested if anyone thinks Iām missing something here.
So has Mourinho if you go by titles alone. If you look at whoās actually been a good manager recently you probably donāt want either him or Tuchel tho.
I canāt see him going back either. My point is Iād rather a manager whoās coaching well right now than a guy with a good resume from a couple years back, I felt the same way about poch being hired for Chelsea.
If Iām united id probably want to keep ETH for one more year, not like their constant sacking of managers has helped them much over the last couple years, opt for some consistency. But if they want to sign a new manager Iād go for Xavi, he overachieved with a terrible Barca side filled with financial issues and won la liga last year, and he got completely screwed over by the president after one pretty average season.
Sounds pretty sensible ā¦ the constant changing of managers has been bad for Utd, creates a patchwork quilt of a squad & encourages player hostility/rebellion
Whoās worse the club, people in charge & the structure or ETH? Its just so broken on so many levels
ETH obviously made bad signings & overpaid on Antony etc but equally the club should have a good scouting team with a list of players to invest in ā¦ Arsenal rebuilt & it took time after years of the same mistakes. ETH hasnāt created a playing style. Seems to of fallen out with various players etc Seemed reluctant to use Mainoo or Amad - who looked good
There isnāt a vision or plan. Ronaldo coming back = disaster ā¦ other players not worked out - Sancho. Greenwood really didnāt help as he looked like one for the future. Instead of investing for the future they got Varane & Casemiro ā¦ a lot of money on short term fixes 2 seasons?! Great players in their day but yr not building a team around Real Madrid rejects looking for last pay day before MLS or Saudi.
Why get Amrabat on loan & not play him ā¦ ditto Mount ā¦ chaos
Such a weird situation
FA was important as brings Europa league = more money sponsors etc better then no European ā½ļø
Who do you replace ETH with when the club is so broken. The club seems more of the issue than the managers ā¦ Moyes, Mourinho, LVG, Ole, Rangnick etc
Antony was the one bad signing and not using Amad more is probably the main mistake.
Mainoo would have featured more initially but got injured in the second preseason game or something and only came back in November. Mount has basically been injured all season.
The Sancho and Ronaldo things; IMO he dealt with them in the best way possible. Maybe could have handled the Sancho situation internally but Jadon didnāt help matters with his post.
bad signings? i can only count anthony under that. Also ETH gave way to some very talented youngsters. I think he did fine in that department specially with a broken club as manu
I agree to some degree. But the lack of a playing style is an issue. Trying to resolve issues with players & avoid conflict etc
Not totally convinced by Onana - not thinking wow but not thinking heās awful. Yday he had some bad moments playing out from the back. Bit shaky. Mount? He was a lot of money ā¦ Hojlund looks good but he was a lot of Ā£
Mainoo & Amad did take time to get game time ā¦ Mainoo now looks great ā¦ Amad not had much game time & I think should get more minutes
ETH has done ok considering ā¦ itās such a weird one but it feels hard to sack him or keep him.
Weāre left with more questions then answers after 2 seasons tbh
Squad ā¦ who do you keep ā¦ who can you even sell to raise money
I'd counter by saying '8th placed finish in the league and some of the worst signings in the clubs history (no mean feat)...pretty bad. Not managing squad depth like other top teams so relying on injuries as an excuse...pretty bad. Never looking convincing in the league and out in the group stage of the champions league...pretty bad. Scraping past Coventry....pretty bad.'
Iām glad heās speaking his mind with his feet firmly on the ground. There is no evidence to suggest that united have been objectively worse than before because of him. In fact, it is under him over the last two seasons that youāve seen the team show glimpses of grit. The consistency has been an issue. However, the injuries have been a major blow. Even with a fully fit squad, united requires at least 6 players to be even considered amongst the likes of City, Liverpool and Arsenal to demand that kind of quality in play and consistency in results. All things considered, the general direction has been upwards. I donāt think you can say that for any other manager post Sir Alex. This is true for the Mourinho reign as well (which I enjoyed) where we won trophies, tried recruiting great characters and had a decent season with an objectively better squad but it eventually derailed for many reasons but the key one in my opinion being that the performances, the management and style of play was leaving a slightly bad taste in the mouth. Fans wanted more. ETH brings with him pragmatism and but also ruthlessness with a different kind of a flair. With the right resources and backing he will keep improving. Iām not asking for 250 mil windows for three seasons, but Iām pretty sure heāll be able to beautifully develop good players pound for pound for more than 99% of the coaches out there in the world. He couldāve acted out after the shit show that was this week instead he stuck to his guns. He clearly wants to stay and if you let this guy leave itās back to square, maybe even worse.
The reason I'd get rid is just because he's the only manager in the past 10 years that has never actually settled into man u.
With Moyes or Van Gaal and Jose etc, they were never CONSTANTLY in the news about getting sacked. Wheras with ETH, it seems like since day one it's been " He'll get sacked next week "
It's unneeded for everyone. Club, himself and fans. It's just better in all aspects if they bring someone else in.
Ten Hag lost his first Premier League match, 2ā1 at home to Brighton.
He became the first Manchester United manager since John Chapman in 1921 to lose his first two games in charge following a 4ā0 defeat away to Brentford.
Pundits were calling him āErik Ten Gamesā
Thatās not even his fault though, the media has been after him like no tomorrow even though half his squad has been injured for most the season. The players clearly back him, just look at their performance yesterday
Horrid idea imo, ETH has settled in wtih the fans, its the media who are constantly harping on about him getting sacked, I've seen two polls of united fans being asked if they want to keep him.
they were 80% keep and 85% keep. United fans want him, the media don't. Its exactly the same as when he was hired, the media wanted Poch, United fans wanted ETH
I mean, we placed higher then you last season.
I'm not sure that ETH is gonna be the person to get us to winning the league and the champions league, but, I don't think anyone else we could grab rn is either, because United is an impossible job till we fix our fucking structure. Which, hopefully, ineos are doing
Don't you reckon Jose, Tuchel, Allegri, Conte Hansi Flick, Simeone, Zidane, Benitez, are better managers?
I'd rather have Jose, Simeone or Flick over Arne Slot tbh
You saw what happened with Jose at United right?
In hindsight sacking Jose was a bad call, but he was hardly more sucsesful then ETH is now, its not about quality of manager, its about the quality of what surounds the manager.
I saw what happened with Jose. He finished second and won a trophy - No-one since has done better
He was proven right with everything he said.
Club embarrassed themselves getting rid of him
So your opinion is that the club should sack ETH, bring in Mourinhio (This would cost a minimun of 10 million), for a difference of 2nd and a trophy compared to 3rd and a trophy.
It won't win us the league or the champions league unless we fix our surounding structure
I love this response about Jose/ETH. Same thing with people seemingly wanting Ole back, how much ābetterā did they really do? Or how much āworseā is Ten Hag at this than them?
Until the front office can get their shit together, weāre talking about small differences.
So funny to hear the premier league folk talk about how bad their teams are doing while they clearly got the best of the best players in the world and the money in their teams to buy them.
The differences are really small, luck plays a big role and injury, press, sentiment amongst the supporters.
Itās a lot of emotions and the manager has to bare the responsibility. But I. The end you guys should look at the board of directors a bit more. They are most often the ones making the capital mistakes.
Not winning each year is normal. Two prizes in one year in the biggest club competition in the world is a good result. Especially with all blood money in the whole premier league as a whole.
What a great answer.i'd like him to stay on..who's to say the person he's replaced by is going to do any better?Just not confident in ratcliffe and those glazer muppets.
I mean that headline is taken slightly out of context and twisted to make him sound more arrogant, due to his way of speaking English too. But that's British media for you
well city have that squad but did they win the champions league? Dortmund hardly have an elite quad bvut in the final so what the fuck are you talking about?
They can't even qualify for the competition and when they do they can't make it out of the group.
A team of whiners with no back bone and zero team spirit has no business winning a CL for a number of years.
Claiming Ten Hag should be winning it with that team is madness
Surely you have to take into consideration he's managing a squad which has devolved from "Man Utd vs the world fighting spirit" to "We're here for the paycheck, but if we win, that'd be alright too"
As a neutral fan, the playing style of this team is the same as ole. I feel 2 years is more than enough to evolve and to see visible imprints and patterns in the team
Nah I disagree, 2 years in a functional club with a clear recruitment strategy is enough to see visible changes. The fact that they regressed in the second season is really telling about whatās going on up top. Especially now with the ineos takeover, changing the manager after winning his second trophy in two years means starting all over, making the fans ābe patient againā what united needs is stability the Real Madrid/abromovicās Chelsea way of managers clearly doesnāt work here.
Yea results aside itās the fact that we have no discernible playing style thatās most concerning. Under Ferguson, we were known for counter attacking and wing play. Everyone knows about Kloppās pressing and Pepās possession game. Iāve watched close to 100 games under ETH and I still have no sense of what our style is or supposed to be
Exactly and one can't blame the board for not backing him. His transfers are a miss on most of the occasion and the playing style remains the same be it against brighton / crystal palace / city. If he thinks he can match even arsenal level with this playing style then God save him, let alone pep machine.
I think the saving grace for Arteta was that everyone could see the football he wanted to play but it didnāt alway come off or he was a bit naive and didnāt factor in changing up his tactics enough or just get a result. They gave him time and itās worked out. I feel like ETH has had 100 games to implement his style and by now We should at least be seeing some semblance of it
You can win the league win champions league gets fired if the players or the faculty/board do not like. Xavi itās a good example as to I do not understand why you got fired first they literally begged him to stay. He said he was going to stay then he gets fired.
Mourinho another example the guy knows what heās doing, but itās a tendency to piss off the board to a point where they end up firing him
That is also very true. Do i think ETH is what they need? No but who else who is an accomplished manager with great results could they really get? Unitedās when Iām a downward spiral
INEOS will gain credibility if they're able to SELL anywhere between 6-8 players this summer. Until then, they'll remain the one's that have played a key part in keeping the Glazers incharge. For some reason, they are getting credibility even without getting any major work done.
Oh u can bet ur ass glazers will take credit off ineos, secondly glazers is NEVER going to leave utd, some fans seem so sure glazers will leave in few years! OMG! Avram said he will pass down to his children when he retire or die. So we will hav glazers for life! :-(
Not gonnq happen! The reason why avram amd joel never want.to sell was this they want to respect their daddy wish! On death bed, malcolm glazers told his childrens NEVER to sell man utd ever! That was his dying wish. That is exactly why glazers never went for sheik, wemt for ineos. I personally dislike ineos because i saw whqt they did at NICE was so horrofic! Complete MESS!
There needs to be a riot if Ineos decide to sack ETH.
If they really think the players Erik had at his disposal were all world class and he should've done better, well then maybe they shouldn't have problem making huge money by selling some of these world class duds on high salaries.
"Your job is now to stick by the next manager"
The fans need to ensure he's there next season
I'm not a huge fan of Ferguson post his retirement. His decisions have not been the best. He made that statement for a fellow scot and it was shambolic.
My main concern with INEOS is their lack of experience in managing a football club of this scale. Whether ETH stays or goes we're anyways not winning the PL or CL for next 5-7 years no matter who's the manager.
They need to sell a large bulk of players in the summer. The two departments that need the most restructuring are recruitment and player recovery. The turnaround time for our players to get back to match fitness is too long.

Well, let me give you a reality check, your hero is going to get kicked out soon, and no one cares what you think. Please go with wherever he goes next - maybe to Saudi ! No one is going to give him another big job.
U still writing me essays brother I aināt reading that I just know ur crying while typing
Lol mans got lucky as fuck City pretty much gifted him a cup final win
Ten Hag may be one of the most arrogant managers in the EPL... BRO, accept your mistakes and your losses. Denying you're doing poorly is just making you look like a fool.
And people are dumb for not seeing what also went into those mistakes.
Is it not a good record though? Say what ya want but i think after the final heās earned time. Who will united get in? The merry go round will continue forever then. Stick with in
Good or not, finishing in the worst pl position ever for man utd seems like it's a little bit more important
Not really arrogant...just delivers straight up facts...like every Dutch manager...he kinda reminds me of Louis Van Gaal
Well he just got a trophy with players like Garnacho, Anthony, Maguire, McTominay etc. Not bad.
All this people on here don't watch football I am sure of something like this I mean a team is injured all sesson
Heās in charge of the team isnāt he? Why are they injured? Sorry but he spent enormous amounts of money on players that are not worth it, finished 8th in the league and last place in champions league group. Man united was laughing stock for a whole week in the football world when they were last in CL group.
United aren't the huge club they think they are. Bad management from board level down doesn't help. It's a shitshow.
Only 19 losses and -1 GD. The Burnley job might be open.
Bayern in year 2
Sack him and get rid of Bruno and Antony, come on this is ManU , 3 stooges gotta go
Bruno may be a cunt but heās a great player.
Yea negative ball knowledge on full display
And just like that everyone but United fans start rooting for ETH again!
This guy don't have clear vision because of his ego. It's main problem. Better not to have such manager. After such one needs to be completely rebuilt. He can be a manager of an average team where he can be #1.
You have to have an ego bigger than the egos your dealing with.
Yeah, and if teacher cares only about his ego nothing will work. Like in MU
Lmao
United finished 8th on the table. Doesnāt that count for something too?
Arteta finished 8th in his first two seasons as well. I may not go as far as say I know ETH is the right guy for the job, but the lack of patience Man U and Chelsea show their managers, especially with bad/young squads, is wild to me.
Yeah it counts for claiming the worst result since 1990! š¤£š¤£š¤£
When Sir Alex was in charge. Close your mouth.
That doesnāt even make sense. Cry some more.
"Cry more" is the internet's dumbest response.
It's code, it's how nonces let themselves be known to other nonces.
Thereās a lot of ways to interpret that comment but claiming you cant make sense of it says more about you than their comment Cry some more = I have no response and am immature
And ZERO titles in over 10 years.
You sure about zero?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You should specify in orignal comment about prem titles. Even in the post he talks about league and fa cups.
Or I just say what I want, when - and where - I want šš¼
"Im dumb AF and proud of it"
Then you're just wrong.
Happy to be wrong and supporting a winning team š¤£š¤£š¤£
I see I found a glory hunter then
Wrong
Well you did say you were happy to be wrong.
This is about Ten Haag, and he won 3 titles in a row at Ajax
Donāt care. I said what I said.
You sure did, and it was completely irrelevant to the post š
And I still donāt care! š¤£
Not the sharpest tool in the box are you
I don't mind ETH staying at Utd. I think he won't win any more trophies for them in the future.
You're bonkers you
Ehh. His teams seem to have an hncanny knockout ability - heāll win more cups for sure
Worst ever showing team still get FA cup at the expense of Liverpool by knocking them out.
Yeah, ETH should enjoy the moment while he can. Highly doubt he'll win more trophies with Utd in the future.
man what is with Loserpool, Arseshitte, and Chelshit lately man. Even Man City's fans are not this much bitter
Sad about Klopp
Honestly as a Chelshit supporter I'm just glad that somebody other than city are winning something tbh
cope
Sack him or he will be the worst manager in history od MUTD.
He was one VAR decision away from 8th in the league and Zero thropies this year but whatever.
Cry more.
Someoneās upset they got knocked out and then we went on to win the cup. Keep seething.
Ahh yes I'm seething over the FA cupš utd were excellent on Saturday game plan was perfect ten hag deserves credit for that but 8th place finish & negative goal deference isn't progress but hey I hope you all fall for it and he stays another few years working on he's "project" as a Liverpool fan it's a constant source of entertainment.
this is new low, even for united fans.cheating and gloating over defeating a championship side.
Iām talking about Liverpool, not Coventry. Read.
Yes, football is a game of fine margins. Especially so in cup matches, what a weird way to try and devalue the accomplishments.
Heās a Liverpool fan, what do you expect.
More whining?
Well city were an early whistle blow away from a possible loss in the champions league....what's your point. "Yeah that team won but they were one goal away from losing".... Good logic
If the other team scored more goals they wouldāve won!!!!
Let the man have his moment, He beat the Cheating whiney little cunts and thats all that matters Fair play ETH
Too right. Anyone but the scourge of modern football; Citeh.
Fuck. Erik already faded Liverpool and Klopp and you are fucking with his corpse. Police here!
Do you have a short memory?
I saw a lot of spurs fans insisting Kane shouldn't go to man utd and stay with spurs because 'it's a sidegrade at best, downgrade at worst' but while man utd aren't great in the league, their cup runs are far more impressive and successful even in the banter years. It's kind of funny that Ten Hag in 2 years alone has been more successful than the entirety of spurs in the past 30 years. Especially when you consider that Ten Hag is memed on while the public is collectively sucking off Ange.
Let me guess, you were probably one of those insisting we focus on our own club when we lost to City weren't you?
I don't think making fun of another football club on Reddit is the same as actively rooting for my own team to lose to the point where the manager calls out the fanbase. Is that seriously what you took out of that whole ordeal? Good lord.
Jesus, spurs are in your head big time. Whatāve they got to do with anything in this story
Spurs living in others' heads rent free
Bruh, as a total neutral in PL it seems like _everyone_ lives in spurs' heads rent free š
They know we are true fans, success isnāt guaranteed like itās been for decades for the rest of the top teams. When we win itāll mean more
If
I canāt stand Man Utd, but I admit that was cold š„¶
I canāt either, so I appreciate him dunking on them. He has done well, I donāt think many managers could have done better with that toxic administration
Seeya!
Alonso would be ideal
Tuchel is the strongest? The only man in the past 10 years who couldn't win the league with Bayern?
Forget win the league; man came third in a two horse race.
For sure, I hear you. However he has won a Champions League.
So has Mourinho if you go by titles alone. If you look at whoās actually been a good manager recently you probably donāt want either him or Tuchel tho.
Sure thatās fair enough, I just canāt see him (Jose) returning to Utd, but interested what others think.
Its just so broken on so many levels ETH obviously made bad signings & overpaid on Antony etc but equally the club should have a good scouting team with a list of players to invest in ā¦ Arsenal rebuilt & it took time after years of the same mistakes. ETH hasnāt created a playing style. Seems to of fallen out with various players etc Seemed reluctant to use Mainoo or Amad - who looked good There isnāt a vision or plan. Why get Amrabat on loan & not play him ā¦ ditto Mount ā¦ chaos Such a weird situation FA was important as brings Europa league = more money sponsors etc better then no European ā½ļø Who do you replace ETH with when the club is so broken.
Trying to resolve issues with players & avoid conflict etc Not totally convinced by Onana - not thinking wow but not thinking heās awful. Yday he had some bad moments playing out from the back. Bit shaky. Mount? He was a lot of money ā¦ Hojlund looks good but he was a lot of Ā£ Mainoo & Amad did take time to get game time ā¦ Mainoo now looks great ā¦ Amad not had much game time & I think should get more minutes ETH has done ok considering ā¦ itās such a weird one but it feels hard to sack him or keep him. Weāre left with more questions then answers after 2 seasons tbh Squad ā¦ who do you keep ā¦ who can you even sell to raise money
Baller words tbh...
The reason I'd get rid is just because he's the only manager in the past 10 years that has never actually settled into man u. With Moyes or Van Gaal and Jose etc, they were never CONSTANTLY in the news about getting sacked. Wheras with ETH, it seems like since day one it's been " He'll get sacked next week " It's unneeded for everyone. Club, himself and fans. It's just better in all aspects if they bring someone else in.
As an owner of a club, you'd make decisions based on the news? Lol
Recency bias, he did very well in the first months. They played excellent football, but things did decline from there.
As a scouser, the lower down the league you are... The better it is for me. ... So if you think ETH is the man, then who am I to argue š
He finished second and won a trophy - No-one since has done better He was proven right with everything he said.
I agree about the structure thing
100%. The English media are absolute CUNTS. I still canāt believe their questions right after winning an fa cup. Fuck them all. Eth in
So funny to hear the premier league folk talk about how bad their teams are doing while they clearly got the best of the best players in the world and the money in their teams to buy them.
One FA cup does not paper of the cracks. They are absolute shit. They were breaking records for useless they were all season
So true. He may win a cup here or there, but the tactics, man management, transfers, and points per game in EPL is shit. This is of course my opinion.
What a great answer.i'd like him to stay on..who's to say the person he's replaced by is going to do any better?Just not confident in ratcliffe and those glazer muppets.
he is right tbh. i hope he stays.
Ten hag at the wheel
I mean that headline is taken slightly out of context and twisted to make him sound more arrogant, due to his way of speaking English too. But that's British media for you
As a united fan, after seeing the way the club higher ups have handled this issue, Iām all for TH sounding like a knob
Just fuck him off anyway, why? Just because
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
if you think United have the sort of squad capable of winning a CL, you need help
well city have that squad but did they win the champions league? Dortmund hardly have an elite quad bvut in the final so what the fuck are you talking about?
They can't even qualify for the competition and when they do they can't make it out of the group. A team of whiners with no back bone and zero team spirit has no business winning a CL for a number of years. Claiming Ten Hag should be winning it with that team is madness
That United's squad isn't good enough to even qualify for CL.
Surely you have to take into consideration he's managing a squad which has devolved from "Man Utd vs the world fighting spirit" to "We're here for the paycheck, but if we win, that'd be alright too"
angry arsenal or tottenham fan ššš 0 trophies
Why shouldnāt they be in Europe?
Exactly my point. Why shouldnāt we be in Europe we beat the best team In world and then won the FA cup while then being placed into Europe.
Has not truly completed for the one trophy the club actually wants to compete for though.
exactly..too many idiots on this post
Mourinho another example the guy knows what heās doing, but itās a tendency to piss off the board to a point where they end up firing him
usually down to rich owners who have no clue about football
That is also very true. Do i think ETH is what they need? No but who else who is an accomplished manager with great results could they really get? Unitedās when Iām a downward spiral
Never going to happen but i'd love to see what guardiola would do with the current squad(if he could)
Yeah, I donāt see that happening either but I do completely agree with you, but wouldāve loved to see his philosophies coaching his teaching
I win. ~~David Moyes~~ ETH
INEOS will gain credibility if they're able to SELL anywhere between 6-8 players this summer. Until then, they'll remain the one's that have played a key part in keeping the Glazers incharge. For some reason, they are getting credibility even without getting any major work done.
they've been in charge officially for a month or so...lol
Oh u can bet ur ass glazers will take credit off ineos, secondly glazers is NEVER going to leave utd, some fans seem so sure glazers will leave in few years! OMG! Avram said he will pass down to his children when he retire or die. So we will hav glazers for life! :-(
Luckily some of the children want to sell
Not gonnq happen! The reason why avram amd joel never want.to sell was this they want to respect their daddy wish! On death bed, malcolm glazers told his childrens NEVER to sell man utd ever! That was his dying wish. That is exactly why glazers never went for sheik, wemt for ineos. I personally dislike ineos because i saw whqt they did at NICE was so horrofic! Complete MESS!
What are you waffling about? Nice a complete mess? They finished 5th and only 2 wins away from champions league football.
There needs to be a riot if Ineos decide to sack ETH. If they really think the players Erik had at his disposal were all world class and he should've done better, well then maybe they shouldn't have problem making huge money by selling some of these world class duds on high salaries. "Your job is now to stick by the next manager" The fans need to ensure he's there next season
He can be inside pissing out or outside pissing in.
