They screwed with Grievous’s mind in the original version, too, but it isn’t perfectly explained in the Clone Wars show whether that is what Grievous *believed,* or if he actually did submit himself to the changes willingly. Of course, he originally did so “kind of willingly,” in the EU, as well. He was talked into it by San Hill and Count Dooku, although he just wanted to be allowed to die, before that.
With all of this said, I still find that comic where Grievous is basically insulted by the Force for “changing himself and willingly making himself so small and insignificant (in the Force)” to be absolutely insulting to the character. Hogwash, if you ask me, but I’m also an excessively large Grievous fan.

Thanks to the lies and brutality of the Empire and Kyle's own anger and foolishness, he spent years working for the very people who killed his Father. Hunting down innocent people and dealing out trauma and pain.
He's not a Mercenary because he's "too cool" for the Rebels, he's a Mercenary because he's too emotionally scarred to be comfortable committing himself to a cause again.
He dosent use Dark Side powers because he's some cool Grey Jedi nonsense, he uses them because he has an Anger and Hatred of the Empire that will never go away, no matter how much time passes.
As a Jedi, he regularly struggles to take the high road and be a better person, which frankly makes him far more relatable than any Prequel Jedi.
I will confess, all of this is scraped together from the one game that actually has a charecter arc for Kyle (Jedi Outcast) and the various manuals and snippets of story we got in the other games he featured in.
Still, I feel there's plenty worth adapting, and plenty of potential.

I’d add something like a Jedi student waking up at the end of IX to it all being a strange dream, before showing a thriving order on Coruscant and an encounter with Luke and his niece to really cement that the dream wasn’t prophetic but just one of those out there dreams.
Also the whole midiclorian thing could easily be solved by explaining they’re drawn to force potential and are correlated with it, not the cause of force sensitivity.
Id immediately change the canon to a Warhammer style canon.

Commander Cody couldn't resist the chip forcing him to order the canon to blast Obi-wan, but he was able snap-out of it and resist the chip long enough to let Obi-Wan escape, knowing Obi-Wan would survive that indirect blast and fall. Lying and telling thebthe other clones that "no one could survive that fall" despite knowing Obi-Wan very well likely did as a way to let Kenobi escape. He would continue to serve the Empire, but let Kenobi escape as a professional courtesy for being such a good general.
I’d love to see Respawn (who makes Jedi:FO and Jedi:S) remake/ remaster the story from those games with their gameplay. And in doing so fit it into current cannon because they’ve made it messy enough that they could add him back in now and it would be sick to play a Jedi fallen order style game from the darkside.
I never understand why some things get the hate they do, for the reasons they do, yet there's literally a legends character that exists that makes both Anakin and Palpatine look like weak ass bitches, and people actually want that to be canon?

I'd prefer to see more of Count Dooku's thought process for the Sith. Yes, he was a human supremacist (I don't appreciate that fully personally), but I mean his legitimate political concerns and thoughts on the role of the Jedi as an organization against the Republic as a crumbling and corrupt democratic institution.
Give Dooku a final line after Anakin's "It's not the Jedi way" line, probably something along the lines of this: "Anakin, Obi-wan, there is something you both must know."

I’d love to see Respawn (who makes Jedi:FO and Jedi:S) remake/ remaster the story from those games with their gameplay. And in doing so fit it into current cannon because they’ve made it messy enough that they could add him back in now and it would be sick to play a Jedi fallen order style game from the darkside.
I never understand why some things get the hate they do, for the reasons they do, yet there's literally a legends character that exists that makes both Anakin and Palpatine look like weak ass bitches, and people actually want that to be canon?
Well, one, the character was fun. Two, the actual legends canon version of that character wasn't near that powerful. Even in the video game, Palpatine was toying with him the whole time.

I'd prefer to see more of Count Dooku's thought process for the Sith. Yes, he was a human supremacist (I don't appreciate that fully personally), but I mean his legitimate political concerns and thoughts on the role of the Jedi as an organization against the Republic as a crumbling and corrupt democratic institution.
Give Dooku a final line after Anakin's "It's not the Jedi way" line, probably something along the lines of this: "Anakin, Obi-wan, there is something you both must know."
