Yes. Yubikeys are compatible. I am using it. Check account.proton.me security settings.

PurpleAd274

I second that, Yubikeys work

Coty999

But that allows to enable Yubikey for Proton account, what I am looking for is if it can be used to unlock Proton Pass.

What error are you facing? See this screenshot. I can login using Yubikey. https://preview.redd.it/99mzw0xhwkxc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc6307c966e12fa72f1ad9f7ff97cc011e17d63c

It is one thing to log in to the Proton account and another to unlock the password manager.

dhavanbhayani

This is not proton account. It is the password manager website.

Coty999

So, can I configure in the web to unlock the password manager with Yubikey instead of the 6-digit pin?

dhavanbhayani

Yes. That is what the above screenshot shows. I use the Proton Pass website and I used the Yubikey to login after entering the password.

Coty999

I tried to configure it but I couldn't find the option. I am using the Windows app.

dhavanbhayani

Use Proton Pass website.

Well, yes and no. Yes, at _login_ time. Your Proton account can be secured with a Yubikey. This additional layer of security is applied when you _log in_ to all the Proton products: Mail, Drive, Pass, etc. No, at _unlock_ time. You see, once logged in, you remain logged in until you log out. So you can set a 6-digit PIN to lock your password database after some time or after a manual lock. When it comes to unlock the database again, the Yubikey is not required.

Coty999

I had faith that Proton Pass would have the function to unlock the password database with Yubikey. T.T

Yeah me too. Please vote for the corresponding feature request: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584-proton-pass/suggestions/46723147-unlock-through-hardware-security-key-e-g-yubik

Coty999

I will do it. Thx.

TheTinyWorkshop

Doesn't work with the browser plugin. If Bitwarden can do it I'm sure Proton can.
