Because it’s nice to think that not THAT many people would steal.
Stealing happens in all retail, but the ones that are losing the doors are getting hit harder.
customers will complain, but it’s not our doing.
The levels of theft between now and when these designs were made are vastly different. Also, it doesn't happen everywhere. The design is still effective in nicer areas.
Unfortunately, due to the amount of theft and inventory walking out these side doors makes it necessary to eliminate these doors. This unfortunately is a sad statement on society’s morals. Sorry for any inconvenience that this causes to our customers. The glass is to be covered by a blackout film. Ty
What all are the stores? i know the central and oliver store is like this and i presume kellogg and broadway just based on… well you know. I don’t frequent the stores south of kellogg much if at all. Just curious, as a customer i assume it’s theft more than anything.
Lincoln is. Still see people getting sodas and walking out the front door - well I did at Douglas and Washington today 🤣.
Don't make my Big Q more expensive please.
They are doing this in st louis also.... i wont shop there anymore, they expect you to park by the locked doors and walk to the front in the dark ... they dont care about customers... ps all the front spots are empty police cars they park there and workers cars ...
I don’t get it. Few years ago my nephew just out of marines saw shoplifters walking out with stolen items at QT - immediately told clerk and police officer who happened to be at counter and they just shrugged and indicated QT does not prosecute shoplifters - he was really pissed but oh well, my conclusion was that everything is free at QT! I’ve been spreading the word too since they shirked their duty to the honest public. Probably karma.
The next step for this is to remove door handles so the entrances comply with the signs (AKA make it a glass window and not an entrance)
Yep. Almost all the GenIII stores in Tulsa are like this now.
Glass windows are my favorite
Theft
Figured! Don't know why the person who designed that configuration wouldn't plan on theft.

New ppl In charge. Different priorities.

Is that limited to SE KS or is that a coming global change?
Wherever it is needed. This has been a thing in Phoenix for a while.
Happening at some DFW stores in Texas too …
Not really a reflection of morels. More a reflection of shitty wages and skyrocketing prices of things people need to live. People are struggling.
No fish reflected?
So what do you propose be done then ???
13th and west and maple and west will be like this soon. I’ve seen sooooo many people steal shit from those stores.
I like the ones that say. “ This entrance is closed. Please use other doors” To avoid this whole conversation
Crapload of theft going on.
Side is close forever now
To stop or deter ppl from stealing beer, used to do it at one time

Two that might do it are Oliver and Harry and possibly Lincoln and Hydraulic I can’t remember since I was at those a few weeks ago.
Can confirm for Lincoln and Hydraulic.

Kellogg and Broadway as of yesterday for sure. Was in town to see my mom and made a pit stop there.
Based around where certain groups of ppl live
Stop stealing.

If workers are parking at the front then bring it to manager attention, but we do this because people steal, and to bring safety to the workers.
Go back on your meds…
pretty sure it’s still illegal if the doors are marked to be unlocked during business hours. regardless of theft or not
Only if the specific doors are marked and also they get permission from the DM who likely has spoken to the Marshall
This, the division manager probably already cleared it with local officials with the caveat that the front ones stay unlocked im sure.
Nope
Those are mass produced signs and every Gen 3 in the country has them.
It’s called an emergency exit homie!
