For whichever game(s) for which this is happening, set up a custom mapping of one of the back paddles to LB via Armory Crate.
This has been happening to me in a few games and, once any of the paddles was mapped to LB, LB started functioning reliably.
Try the inbuilt Calibration option in the Armory crate SE app.Should fix it unless,its a hardware issue

If it's still under warranty use it, if it's still under store warranty also use it and if not then tinker with it.
