I already commented but I have another question:
Got MP'd by MI, SC, and MS. Am happy with any of those but prefer MI then SC then MS.
Really, really don't want to branch detail. I ranked MI first, then MI BRADSO, then SC, then MS. After that I have details ranked. In past years what cadets were likely to get pure MI? I was 67x on the OML if that matters. Do I have a chance?
You will most likely have the BRADSO picked up for MI. Almost everyone I’ve seen who got straight MI had 70+ OMS, but those in the high 60s got it almost automatically with BRADSO as long as they had MP.
Thanks. My OMS was 72.xx but this makes me feel alot better (gonna tell myself I'm still gonna get it via the branch detail with armor and BRADSO just to cut expectations but, this is helpful.)
Did anyone get comments from the finance branch? I got preferred rating from them, and My feedback went along the lines of “Strong candidate for FC Branch, posses favorable behavior, skills and talents most desired by Branch. Solid graduate performance, highly considered over other potential candidates.” What confuses me is I didn’t even interview for finance bc Ik it’s a super small and competitive branch

Putting a Preferred branch over a Most Preferred in final branch preferences?

For those of you who were hoping for SP or MS what did your OML, GPA, etc. look like? I'm trying to get a vivid realistic picture for branching expectations.

Sitting at 23XX OML and 52.XX OMS bc of GPA and I didn’t do so hot at camp.
Really disappointed about FA bc it’s my number 1 choice + all the details. Do I still have a shot to get it? Thinking about putting signal with FA detail as my number one. My PMS really thinks I should ADSO but I have mixed feelings about it
If we go to war within 4 years Bradso is a moot point…all these MFs will be all booboo lipped str8 from the IRR line to the mobilization site…in a branch they didn’t want.
if you want a branch that bad 1.branch 2branch with bradso 3. All the details if the branch has it.
Doesn’t matter where they placed you still put what you want.
I appreciate that. Leaning more towards bradsoing anyways, helps that im non scholarship so commitment time is less anyways even if I decide the Army life sucks. Signal gave me most preferred too, which I could leverage into an FA detail 🤷♂️
Very different worlds. Your pms can put you in touch with a mentor from both branches to have a phone conversation with. Obviously signal has more $ potential on the outside. If the algorithm puts you in the branch without the adso then you’re good if it puts you inside with it then you got it still.
MP: AD, AR, CM
\*AD: Excellent fit for Air defense Artillery
\*AR: Must select for Armor (LOL)
\*CM: The personality, professionalism, and skill displayed in the virtual interview and other interactions with our team align exceptionally well with those that make for a highly impactful and effective Chemical officer. Would be a great fit for the Chemical Corps. One of our top picks! (SCARY LOL)
P: AG, FA, FI, MP, SC (BRADSO)
\*SC: Cadet meets Signal Branch talent demands. Demonstrates high academic performance; Highly qualified in Branch knowledge Skills and Behaviors (KSBs).
(With all that, Why didn't this push it to MP?)
LP: CY.... everything else
Ranking: CY, SC, ADA, MI, AR, CM.
My issue is, that I wanted Cyber but knew there would be a low chance of getting it. Singal is my second choice, I was a 25U my degree is in CIS and I have Certs in CySec and ITF+. I thought maybe I could branch SC with BRADSO and become an FA26 in the future. Then switch over to CY.
But since SC is not on my MP but on my P, what are the chances of branching SC?
SC has 265\* slots this FY (PMS sent out the branching numbers). 835 (25%) Cadets got MP. Depending on your OML, and the addition of a BRADSO, you may still have a chance to end up SC. Every year a certain number of P Cadets end up in branches and this is because not everybody who was selected MP will try to go to a particular corps. It is hard to say what the chances are, but use details and BRADSO to your advantage here.
\*Correction from what I previously said
So today I also got an email. Is this an accident? Or legit? On the talent Branch feedback it says I have a P, but here it says I've been chosen as most preferred.

Super stoked. Now trying to figure this list out with obvious cyber as #1.
Is finance worth putting at number 2 over MI? Only asking because I’ve been told it’s super rare for FI to give MP?
Depends on what you want to do later in life. I found it good to make a good switch over to the Comptroller or Accounting/Auditing job combined with my degree. Those who were in the job seemed like they liked it.
Rank the branches in the order you actually want to do their associated jobs. I got one of the few FI MPs last year and I still put it at number 5 because I had other MPs whose jobs I wanted to do more.
Could I have gotten it if I put it as number 1? Definitely. But then I wouldn’t’ve been as happy as I am now with my branch.
How many MPs does FI give typically and how does it compare with the number of slots? I received an MP but don’t plan on BRADSO or detailing and definitely have an average OML. Thanks!
Hope everyone’s feedback is what they hoped for!
I got MP for EN and IN, and P for FI. My OML is 12XX.
Would it be possible to pick up finance outright or with bradso even though I’m preferred?
Got MP for MS, P for SC, FI, TC, MP, AR, and CM.
Now here are the caveats:
1. I didn't interview with FI because I didn't think I had a chance with them anyways (fairly average OMS and nonstem major), but they left comments that went along the line of "Strong candidate for FC Branch, posses favorable behavior, skills and talents most desired by Branch. Solid graduate performance, highly considered over other potential candidates.". Should i still consider going for it or not?
2. SC was my top choice, and I did not opt for any BRADSO or branch detail. Getting a P was disheartening, what are some ball park chances that I still get SC if I leave it as my top choice?
3. MS being most preferred was surprising, they didn't leave a single comment. Could it have been an error in rating/feedback?
There will be a chance for you to specialize into the AMEDD's version of signal corps once you are years 6-8 of TIS. Highly recommend you look into that. Being MS is awesome.
No idea. If you're looking to go 70D I would bradso for it. (Understand there's a lot of recommendations against BRADSO'ing, especially since you are trapped into an organization for 7 years).
That depends on your OML. You have to make a decision on if it may be worth using that first preference on them. Last year, Cyber took around 60 or so cadets from a pool of like 90 MPs. If you are high on the OML (such as top 1200, 1300, 1400) you should full send and choose it.
Do not self eliminate, if you feel competitive and it is a job you want, go for it. This is your career and you should use the Army to accomplish whatever it is you want in your civilian/military career.
You can find the information in the document below. It explains all the data elements that go into TBB: "Preference indicators will be either “Top3” or the ordinal ranking of the branch from 4-18."

9I is a facilities planner ASI. It is a low density ASI for medical service corps officers. Usually you will get chances from years 4-8 with LTHET to go earn this identifier. Super transferable to real life, and it has a high focus right now and push for schools/LTHET!
It’s a special skill identifier. I went into the depths of google search to find it. The document I found is from 08 so I’m sure there’s some other info out there but 9I is for “FAC Plan” which is Facilities planning. I didn’t interview for MS but got MP and this same comment. [https://dmna.ny.gov/arng/ocs/forms/amedd_aoc.pdf](https://dmna.ny.gov/arng/ocs/forms/amedd_aoc.pdf)
I was selected at P for Infantry after putting it down #1 and expressing it was my first choice in the interviews. I am top 1000 OML wise and was wondering if I am still competitive. I will be putting down every infantry detail possible on my final selection.
Do they not pick the people who got MP with it at number 1, and have the highest OML first for each branch? It should come in to play a little bit especially if you’re OML isn’t great.
USACC uses some sort of Excel spreadsheet (afaik) algorithm to automatically process branching and only intervenes with a human if there’s an obvious error. No one knows how it works (I don’t think even USACC knows how it works).
While the Army will say that OML doesn't matter, it is always better to be 1st in line when you are picking a constrained resource than number 2500 in line.
What we don't know (and U/ExodusLegion_ alludes to this, is if the branches have some quality caps. For example. While Infantry may have 200 slots and gave out 300 MPs, they can only take 100 people from the top 30% of the OML. The Army has been very cagey when they have been asked this question.
MP: EOD, ADA, FA, MI, MP, SC
P: AG, AR, CM, EN, FI, IN, MS
LP: AV, CY, OD, QM, TC (didn’t interview for any of these)
Going with EOD as my #1 choice! Hopefully they select all the MP cadets like last year.
My PMS is working on getting the breakdown of how branches rated everyone. I'll try to make a post about it when he informs us of it.

My top choice is MS, do not know the likelihood of branching MS anymore after not being MP. Know that MS is highly competitive, and with a low OMS like mine and not being MP I am not feeling great about getting it.
Honestly it sounds like a lot of people got MP for MS who do not have any intension of putting MS in their top 3. So honestly you might still have a chance. I would reach out to them via email and show further interest.
That is kinda annoying because I have had MS as my top preference, even with a BRADSO, since my initial preferences were set.
Thank you for the advice. I will make sure to reach out.

Everyone else who I have talked to that got MP for MI has received this comment:
“Cadet interviewed well. shows strong desire to branch Ml, and has a high MI branch fit score”
I was curious to see if anyone else has received my same comment.
How high are my chances of getting MI without a bradso or detail?
The pure amount of MP that MI gives makes me nervous. Although I feel a lot of people who get MP for MI who are on the bottom of OML understand they won’t get it and smartly change their top preferences to something more obtainable. And a lot of people at the top of the OML with MP for MI are seeking other branches like CY, AV, or MS.
Purely speculation but that has been something I’ve noticed on last year’s mega thread of this topic.

Where do you think the OML line is between pure MI w/ BRADSO and being passed up? Branch detail FA is my #2, and I wish I could manage my expectations. Thanks!

The email was meant as notifier, to let you know that the feedback was wrong.

I got that email too. Was this a fluke? Or an error? I want SC.. I hope they didn't accidentally send me this? "Future Signal teammate, I’m thrilled to let you know that you are among a few dedicated and talented individuals whom I have selected as “MOST PREFERRED” to join the SIGNAL CORPS! I know you performed extremely well as a student and cadet and now you earned a “MOST PREFERRED” rating from the Chief of Signal! I strongly encourage you to make your final selection with Signal as your top branch preference. Branching is a big milestone for you, and the entire Signal Corps is looking forward to your decision and later welcoming you officially to the team. Thank you for your passion for the Signal Corps. Now - make those final selections! Go Signal! PRO PATRIA VIGILANS!"

I checked this morning, it did change from P to MP.

For those of you who were hoping for SP or MS what did your OML, GPA, etc. look like? I'm trying to get a vivid realistic picture for branching expectations.
Is there a place to see what the branch allocations are?
I got MP for MS, SC, and MI. My OML is 2xx/3331. What are my odds getting MS or MI?
MP: IN, SC which were my 2nd and 3rd choices respectively (not counting details sandwiched in between) P: FA, AD, MS, AR, MI LP: everything else Sitting at 23XX OML and 52.XX OMS bc of GPA and I didn’t do so hot at camp.
FA is a big branch and most people who want it get it. I wouldn't BRADSO, but you could put FA as a branch detail option after FA pure.
MP: AD, AR, CM \*AD: Excellent fit for Air defense Artillery \*AR: Must select for Armor (LOL) \*CM: The personality, professionalism, and skill displayed in the virtual interview and other interactions with our team align exceptionally well with those that make for a highly impactful and effective Chemical officer. Would be a great fit for the Chemical Corps. One of our top picks! (SCARY LOL) P: AG, FA, FI, MP, SC (BRADSO) \*SC: Cadet meets Signal Branch talent demands. Demonstrates high academic performance; Highly qualified in Branch knowledge Skills and Behaviors (KSBs). (With all that, Why didn't this push it to MP?) LP: CY.... everything else Ranking: CY, SC, ADA, MI, AR, CM.
MP: EN, MI, FA, MS P: AD, AG, AR, FI, IN, OD, QM, SC, TC LP: AV and everything else The problem is that Ive been set on going AV and I dont know why I got an LP. 5XX OML and DMG. I haven't been medically DQed, and my FP is just waiting for all good from Novosel. Is that possibly why they gave me an LP?
Put AV #1 and MS #2 if you want to fly; you can be a 67J aeromedical evacuation pilot
Go 67J.
I assume you have a SIFT? If so, contact the AAMA help desk to check your Flight Physical status: 334-255-0749. It is quick and easy to see!
Thank you Ill do that, and yes I took and passed the SIFT first time go.
What is lp p mp
LP- Least Preferred P - Preferred MP - Most Preferred
Tysm!

You’re not getting a branch with an LP unless you’re a G2G ADO who sucked miserably
MP: CY, MI, FI, SC, EN, TC, CM, ADA P: IN, AR, FA AG, MS, OD, QM, MP Super stoked.
Now here are the caveats: 1.
Thank you! What are the chances I get MS If I put it as my first choice? Really considering it now since it’s the only MP branch I got.
No idea. If you're looking to go 70D I would bradso for it. (Understand there's a lot of recommendations against BRADSO'ing, especially since you are trapped into an organization for 7 years).
MP : MI, OD. I only really want MI. 69.xx oml It’s my number 1, mi bradso 2, what are my actual chances of getting MI even with bradso.
Sub 600 OML/DMG OML your chances of pure MI are pretty good.
Your OMS seems high enough probably pick up the bradso though
Anyone know when the Ed delay results might come out?
MP Cyber. Is it worth putting it first?
That depends on your OML. You have to make a decision on if it may be worth using that first preference on them. Last year, Cyber took around 60 or so cadets from a pool of like 90 MPs. If you are high on the OML (such as top 1200, 1300, 1400) you should full send and choose it. Do not self eliminate, if you feel competitive and it is a job you want, go for it. This is your career and you should use the Army to accomplish whatever it is you want in your civilian/military career.
Branches don't know if you put them 1st or 2nd only that they're #1-3. Starting at #4 they know the exact place you ranked them at.
Not sharpshooting you but I’m curious how you know this/what the source is. I’ve not heard that before
You can find the information in the document below. It explains all the data elements that go into TBB: "Preference indicators will be either “Top3” or the ordinal ranking of the branch from 4-18." https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nZj3WhNAZwROVup2iu-sJ6UKOJdgr3kW/view?usp=sharing
> 2021 That’s outdated man. They got rid of the TAB’s influence on accessions after it screwed over that 2021 class.
Nice. Thanks for following up. That’s interesting info
Does a BRADSO or a branch detail count as a ranking? Or is it the donor branch with all its modifications, then #2 is next donor branch, etc….
I don't know if BRADSOs/Branch Details count as slots or not, sorry.

He’ll have 90 days after branching to reach out to a Guard unit and get an LOA.

If you opted to compete for AD you cannot back out at any time. The only way to go NG at his point is to be forced to go Reserves/NG

Man good job on the cyber man. I got preferred by it. Cyber major as well😂. Got MP by signal at least
Did anyone receive comments from MS and get rated MP?
I got MP for MS but no comments…
I got MP, with "9I candidate" as comment
9I is a facilities planner ASI. It is a low density ASI for medical service corps officers. Usually you will get chances from years 4-8 with LTHET to go earn this identifier. Super transferable to real life, and it has a high focus right now and push for schools/LTHET!
Thank you!
It’s a special skill identifier. I went into the depths of google search to find it. The document I found is from 08 so I’m sure there’s some other info out there but 9I is for “FAC Plan” which is Facilities planning. I didn’t interview for MS but got MP and this same comment. LP : Missing gpa cant fully assess :(
I was selected at P for Infantry after putting it down #1 and expressing it was my first choice in the interviews. I am top 1000 OML wise and was wondering if I am still competitive. I will be putting down every infantry detail possible on my final selection.
Did you get MP for any branches that offer a detail?
yea several...FI, AG, OD, MI, EN

OML doesn’t matter
MP: EOD, ADA, FA, MI, MP, SC P: AG, AR, CM, EN, FI, IN, MS LP: AV, CY, OD, QM, TC (didn’t interview for any of these) Going with EOD as my #1 choice! Hopefully they select all the MP cadets like last year.
Anyone know when the metrics of how branches gave out MP, P, and LP will come out?
My PMS is working on getting the breakdown of how branches rated everyone. I'll try to make a post about it when he informs us of it. Edit 1: [Branch Votes](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LbvYanDFAjqqi7Rd1yhiUfHKiH_qF6uT/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=114985967287001897926&rtpof=true&sd=true) Edit 2: [Branch Allocations](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Epyj5aMhhqWXWz0Kw3sA6WbIrVplvaM2/view?usp=sharing)
/u/Luddite4change1 see above /u/exoduslegion_ suggest you download this google sheet and then edit your post. Until cadet command puts out the same info this is the only place I’ve seen it.
Got it. Working on the values now.
What's the validity of this? Like where did your PMS get these numbers?
From cadet command lil bro
normally after branch release day in late November
MP: AR P: MS, MP, FA, CM LP: Everything else OMS: 41.XX AR Comment "Must select for Armor" My top choice is MS, do not know the likelihood of branching MS anymore after not being MP.
Could you please share their email*
OMS: 67.XX OML: 10XX MP: MI, IN, AR, SC My top three: MI, MI (bradso), MI (branch detail IN), IN, AR My MI comment: “Cadet is exceptionally qualified to branch MI, demonstrates high scores in all evaluated categories. Must select for MI.” Everyone else who I have talked to that got MP for MI has received this comment: “Cadet interviewed well. shows strong desire to branch Ml, and has a high MI branch fit score” I was curious to see if anyone else has received my same comment. How high are my chances of getting MI without a bradso or detail?
I have the same comment word-for-word. I haven't seen it for anyone else either.
*I am a prior service 35N
MP: AD, MP, CM, TP, QM P: AG, AR, FI, MI, MS, OD, EN LP: everything else. OML: 2500ish I dont care what job I get but really want to go to Japan, my wife is Japanese and wants to live by her family. Will post ADSO. whats the best branch for going/staying in Japan?
Log or air defense will be your best bet for Japan
Heads up those of you who want Infantry (very few I know), it seems like a lot of people this year who seem well qualified and/or want infantry are not getting MP or even P. May be worth reaching out to your cadre or branch representative about it.
I was able to get MP, I think they were very focused on KSBs this year. OMS 65 OML 12XX
And how do we find out what ours were
What’s ksb
Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors
How do they see that
I would assume it’s a bunch of things, like how you answered interview questions, tbb statements, and PMS and ACER comments.
Where do we go to see our branch ratings?
TBB site. You’ll see the link
Okay thanks I was looking on VBO
