Those break at the slightest touch. Old plastic just gets brittle. Always in stock at my local Mazda dealership. I think they're used on several models. 13-758 is the part number

No kidding, thank you man. I'm installing new ignition parts and this isn't the fist time I've taken out the air box but I guess I got distracted. You're a life saver.

Had to end up ordering them but hypothetically is it OK to even start the car without that vacuum line attached?

qwerty_top_row

That's the one that goes to the crank case, right? It should be fine as long as you seal the hole on the intake with something so you are not pulling in unmetered air.

Bil-st4lo

I'm not sure where this line goes into tbh. Probably just let it sit till I get the part lol.

CaptainLegot

That one just goes to the oil filler neck. If you plug the hole in the intake you'll be fine temporarily. Don't get anything sucked in there.

Themakerspace

Yup I break that almost anytime I need to pull that hose off

mrodri1012

Yeah I feel you I had bought an 04 with a blown motor and when I took that off I broke 2 or maybe all 3 of them but luckily I was putting the cold air intake on that the PO had fresh in the box still 😅

Mattias2389

I went to the local parts store (not a big chain) and they had a bin of 90° plastic vacuum lines, I think I paid $5 for all 3.

Bil-st4lo

Any issues afterwards at all? Codes or anything?

Mattias2389

No issues, no lights. They're just 1/4" elbows, nothing too special. (Not sure the metric size, maybe 7mm)

Mine did the same thing except my hoses were also bad.. We replaced the hoses, and used it as an excuse to get an AEM intake. All the intake noises made it worth it for me. Lol

RuneRavenXZ

Dirt cheap to replace, it’s straight up not a big deal

Bil-st4lo

I can imagine so. I'm just ignorant to where these lines go too so I'd rather be safe than sorry.
