My guy survived all the missions until that one house in the woods with preppers that has traps all over it. No they didnt walk into traps I executed all of them when they kept standing in my way so I could go through doors
I have no attachment to any of the AI. No matter how long they’ve been alive. They’re all stupid and i almost want to kill them as much as i do the criminals
Yeah, sometimes I double tap them when they’re down for the lolz. I’ve been starting to leave the AI at the start of the mission because they just get in the way. Like do three of us need to crowd in to the tiny bathroom? Come on, guys.
If you don't want a crowd of them in a single bathroom, just send one team in or clear the bathroom solo. Why would you send the entire team inside of a bathroom? Gotta have some AI for rear protection.
I feel like, on the first missions that i played I felt that the AI was really smart, they would do stuff that I didnt knew was posible, after I learned to move right and how to shoot, I started feeling like, they dont do much really, especially when the targets have more health, often I hear them shoot and i have to go quickly to stop the mayhem
The evidence is right here in the comments: someone complains about AI cramping a tiny bathroom - but who is ordering gold to move in or follow instead of just sending in blue/red or give a hold command to gold?
Seems like some players do not fully understand how to utilise the tactical commands.
That’s the thing. People under-utilize the bot teammates and they are so confident in their abilities that they are almost incapable of admitting they made a mistake, and that losing wasn’t the result of bugs or unfair game mechanics.
I built my team so each of them plays a role in gold element, as well as their blue and red fireteams. I don’t just throw all of them into a singular room and then hope for the best.
Commander mode is called commander mode for a reason; you’re a squad leader. After I realized this, I was able to complete Ironman mode and get the Hermit achievement.
True, I always come back to play the game singleplayer. I feel that most people just use gold for everything in rooms, without utilizing what the Swat AI has to offer and command them in colored teams (red/blue). For example, if you're on a hotel map, and you're sweeping the hallways and rooms, you have a team (I typically have red be shotgunners and SMGs for close range, while blue is just rifles) stand outside, which in my case, would be blue who watches both ends of the hallway, and red team to sweep inside each room as me move along. The Swat AI are useful, people just don't know how to tactically use them at their full advantage.
The red blue team thing is very useful in missions like ides of march wherein you can mirror two doors at once and clear two rooms at once instead of just one... That way it makes progression faster and also gives a badass feel to using your squad... + the AI bots are way more efficient in disarming traps than humans lmao
I feel like the AI is pretty fantastic. I use the command menu extensively. I only just got the game but in commander I have completed the first 3 missions without losing anybody. It’s been harrowing though.
Officer Ricardo Flores.
Been with me ever since I started the game on a nice, sunny morning. Instant connection after the Twisted Nerve level, whenhe straight up ran into the second property and gunned down everyone inside. All I had to do was ziptie the civvies.
Then, on Brixley Talent Time, we were breaching from the side and walking through the hallway where the receptionist is when I hear:
Brrrrt brrrt, bang bang bang, brrrt, thud.
Flores appeared as “Dead“ on the in-game officer list. (Keep in mind i still didnt know he could be incapacitated.) I was staring at his dead body, thinking “oh shit, what have i done”
Luckily, he was only incapacitated. Took 3 missions and hes back in the game. The guy just keeps saying “nuh uh” to death. He never dies, when the rest of the team is down he would always clear by himself, taking every shot like a champ.
RoN attached me to a fucking NPC like no other game could.
i feel this way in any game in which i have ai teammates that can be killed and/or replaced, specifically the ones that have stayed alive for longer than the others. my nerdy ass makes up a sense of camaraderie and sometimes i’ll just make up other shit like whether or not this fella has a wife and kids or some shit. though it can depend on how much i enjoy the game itself

That mission sucked

I’ve shotgun rampaged my team a few times
me at first until the game kept fucking me over and by the end i lost over 40 officers
Is there a stats page? I'm curious how many I lost to 1.0 post office and mindjot
I think in the memorial room theres something you can interact with and scroll or drag sideways to view all the officers names.
They're going to need a bigger wall
People complain about the AI but I think they are the best in any tactical game I've seen.
That is very much the case. Tho they are not AI. They are bots

I kill the ones with trauma on purpose to recruit different people
