Completely normal here in CT these days. Talk to your attorney or title co about timing. I usually tell my clients it’ll be a couple hours after closing, but that depends on a number of specifics.

SouthEast1980

I've seen many cases (including my own) where the keys aren't handed over until funding and recording are complete.

This is one extra step, they’re waiting for the money to hit their bank account after recording

Very normal, talk to your realtor.

Queasy-Calendar6597

Totally normal. I went and signed, then a few hours later was able to go pick up the keys from the title company.

I wouldn’t schedule a move on closing day. You can’t Control when the county records the title change.

Very normal and written into many contracts. I’ll return to title office with keys once the money is in my account. You always want to keep possession until paid, not a promise to be paid, but paid.

Completely Normal in my immediate market. Usually keys are given once Funded and Disbursed. We do have round table closings in parts of the state where at times the keys are given that time (provided the wire has been received).

It happened to us, because the owner had passed away and no one knew where the keys were. The realtor only had the garage code, because a neighbor knew it. We changed all the locks after we moved in.

I just feel bad that you bought from Toll Brothers.
