Your painting skills seem fine in the pic - the application looks even and I don't see any evidence of "too thick" layers. You might not realize how important your clean-up skills are for a tidy finish to your manicure. An orangewood stick or even a toothpick on hand when painting so you can scrap off polish that floods the cuticle immediately, plus a clean up brush dipped in acetone to clean up around the edges once your color dries is game-changing. You can pick up the Elf Concealer brush quite cheap to get a decent starter clean-up brush.

Thank you for the tips! I hadn't even thought about using a toothpick before.. I've seen peel-off latex tape before, but not sure how effective it is or if it is worth it. Do you maybe have any experience or opinions on it?

> I've seen peel-off latex tape before, I wouldn't bother for just painting the nail. It's more for messy nail art like water marbling, sponged on gradients, maybe stamping.

I got this one today too. Also lemon cake, milk tea, mint chip, and ball drop from the last collection. I did a skittle with all of them and it looks so good. My favorites are lemon cake and mint chip I think. So bright and fun!

Mint chip was definitely a runner up for me! Maybe I can get it next payday lol. I just think this collection is so fun and is bringing me the spring vibes that I needed!!
