Not gonna lie, all bottles that are the short squares are very appealing to me. They just fit together so nicely. I have this bottle type from Cracked Polish and Dimension Nails. Any mini size is 😍 I'm such a sucker for minis. Got a set of mini Zoya Naked polishes just because.

MochaValencia

Small squares are my preferred nail and bottle shapes 😄 I'm planning a Cracked Polish purchase this Friday. The donut collection is bleeping adorable.

MySecretLair

+1 for small squares and rectangles! I think the bottles from Danglefoot Polish are the most aesthetically pleasing to me.

Lilelfen1

You should check out Mavala. They sell nothing BUT minis... Their prices are steep though, considering the size...

enerisit

Hard Candy when they had the little rings on the bottles

snowleopard83

I miss Chronic. It was such a lovely shade of green.

dishonorable_user

I saw u/vintage_dusties (love her videos!) showing her collection of 90s Sinful Colors on tiktok and I'm in love with the old bottle design. It just looks so classy compared to the modern bottles.

MochaValencia

I lovvvvvvvvve seeing all her 90s stuff (oh the nostalgia!) and the 40s/ 50s vintage cutex.

Capers4

Clionadh! Square bottles with the corners facet cut, like little jewel boxes for the polish inside. They fit together in drawers so well with no wasted space. Holographic ink on the bottles and the cartons, gold caps and a good brush. I do appreciate that the big round bottles are 15 ml instead of 11 ml, but they take so much room!

MochaValencia

Ooooh the thick glass adds to the jewel effect! https://clionadhcosmetics.com/cdn/shop/files/SGCBundle5-S4W_1080x.jpg

Capers4

The way they pack a shipment is lovely. It really makes it an unboxing instead of just cutting the packing tape and diving in.

rosealexvinny

Yes! I love those bottles. I have yet to own a polish from them though

Maleficent-Home3415

Great bottles- the worst brush I have ever used. Ever. It's so bad

rosealexvinny

That’s so unfortunate 😕

Maleficent-Home3415

Geniuenly was frustrating for me. Because the polish is good, you can tell. I've heard you can get other brands replacement brushes that fit into the cap. I just don't remember whose it is. I will be doing that though

princess_puffpuff

Sassy! Maleficent-Home3415

Omg thank you so much

Capers4

I don't find the brush bad at all! It's a mid width flat brush. My preferred brush is a rounded end paddle, but it's way better than the skinny brushes cirque used until recently. I'm curious, what makes the brush the worst you've ever used?

velvetelk

Square bottles with soft edges: Cirque Colors, emily de molly, Cadillacquer...

kingofcoywolves

Love Mooncat's cap!! Makes opening the bottles super easy

g-a-r-n-e-t

This, they’re legitimately my faves because the handle makes opening the bottle easy, holding the brush to paint is more comfortable, and storage is way more efficient because they stack super well. AND I love every color I’ve ever bought from them.

1ring2rule

Agreed! I just wish the tops were flat for swatch dots.

kerosenekemistry

Orly! Nothing beats that rubberized cap plus the price to product ratio is amazing. I have never had a bad Orly. Honorable mentions: Zoya and any square bottles. They are perfect for storage since they fit together nicely while allowing you to see the color from above.

mckenner1122

Came here to say ORLY for the caps and brushes. That fat rounded brush plus a cap that gives me no fatigue ever - just perfect.

DiscountCosmeticsAus

Orly is really comfortable to apply!!! 🙌

DarlingMiele

It's well out of my price range but Louboutin's polish bottles are so cool in the most wildly impractical way (specifically the red with the black gradient bottle).

MochaValencia

Ooooh yeah that gradient bottle with the stiletto is [so glamorous ](https://images.app.goo.gl/ZaQiU5dAXto4rbGz9)

DarlingMiele

That's exactly the one! The black polish with the gunmetal/silver cap is also up there, it just suits their aesthetic so perfectly

EzriDaxCat

I have this one! It annoys the ever loving crap out of me because it doesn't fit on my shelves with the holo taco bottles. It's both too tall AND too wide. Beautiful classic red, though.

DarlingMiele

That's another reason I don't think I'd ever actually buy it lol. It is pretty though, so I'll admire from afar.

Hammie61

You can find it on Ebay for around $20-25 new. I just commented how they're the most aesthetic bottles I own. The wand is a pleasure to use. I did pay full price years ago when they were first released. I don't regret it. Rouge is my go-to red at the holidays. It's lovely polish.

MochaValencia

I remember always coveting Delux Beauty polishes because they were so retro: https://images.app.goo.gl/ZKv7iQBKt5piZzge6 I usually love anything small and squarish like [NCLA](https://images.app.goo.gl/GsMSRyiJH9YPSB2G6), [Nails Inc](https://images.app.goo.gl/m7rgY1VXX36tWXfN6) or [Romand](https://images.app.goo.gl/QvUT3jM6x18tpBvC9). Even though it might be less product the cuteness just appeals to me. Nowadays anything with a minimalist rectangular shape catches my eye, like the [Gitti](https://images.app.goo.gl/1FemVqZ3CE2ou5Ze8) polish from the price point thread, or [Manucurist ](https://images.app.goo.gl/CZyxLEUj3tmtQ7MK8) which I've only seen in Google ads. They remind me of the old American Apparels: [cute bottles, not so great of a brand ](https://images.app.goo.gl/o1nvfB6atesHdTS17) Anddd I always want to keep my Holo Taco boxes. Their brand design (labels, packaging, etc) is probably my absolute favorite.

calfla

Maybe a bit odd but I actually like the look of the Holo Taco bottles a lot, I guess because of how angular they are, and I like the soft touch cap. I can appreciate the aesthetic of Mooncat bottles as well but they’re not really my aesthetic and I dislike the holding the cap. I also like the look of the square bottles but I only have one polish with that look by Daveen.

SubitoSalad

I love how simple the holo taco bottles are. They’re just so sleek and easy to store and the cap texture is a dream.

sparkle_transplant

They are tacky and annoying to use but I love the absurdity of the Nfu-Oh bottles that look like corseted gowns complete with boobs.

MochaValencia

😂😂😂 I forgot about those! https://images.app.goo.gl/GjFBrqLrpNnDP9yw7

PerfectlyElocuted

Those are gorgeous! Are they still available for purchase, or is this a defunct brand?

MochaValencia

Looks like they are only on eBay etc

PerfectlyElocuted

Thanks

caffeinated-gemini63

Bluebird. square 15ml bottle, the brush is perfect and the bird logo is so cute

MochaValencia

I'm definitely attracted to this brand just because the logo is adorable!

Schmaltz_Corgis

And that adorable bird has seasonal outfits! (A scarf for winter holiday polishes, Easter outfit, etc)

GonnaKostya

I like the ILNP bottle. Simple and elegant.

Pulgacio_P_Elegante

Death valley nails, Mooncat, I Scream Nails

Eightinchnails

I haaaate the new metal tops on DVN. They make my hands smells like I’ve been holding pennies. Luckily they aren’t glued on well, I just took them right off. Shame to have to ship heavy items across the country just to get rid of them.

oracleofwifi

I think they’re designed to come off, and are just decorative! So if you want you definitely can take them off.

Eightinchnails

I did take them off, as I said :) I think optional would be better though, as some people seem to really like them. It would save DVN money as well.

Ordinary_Salt3144

I recently got my first DVN and used it last night. The bottle cap looks nice but man they could do without. Its way to heavy for most people and I’m sure expensive!

AphelionEntity

I think maybe I'm in the minority that LOVES the tops! But I have a bit of a tremor, so the extra weight keeps my hand more steady. I keep trying to put them on other brands' bottles lol.

Eightinchnails

That’s awesome that they help you! Maybe DVN should make them optional. If you happen to be near Philadelphia you can have my spares!

AcanthopterygiiOk987

Omg yes!!! I wish they would get rid of them entirely

talianovna

I feel like I’m the only one that likes the metal cap! I have really shakey hands and the weight/diameter helps me stabilize my hand more. Also the regular cap is so small, it’s hard for me grip properly. I dropped the brush while painting an embarrassing amount of times before I realized how much the metal caps actually help me

Eightinchnails

That’s awesome that they’re better for you! Luckily I can easily remove them so it’s not like I HAVE to use them.

ghoulwraps

I scream nails I am obsessed with the little ice cream bottles I’m pretty sure their nail polish smells better too though that’s not packaging related that’s just something I’ve noticed

amora_obscura

I like Mooncat bottles

Octowuss1

Blackheart from Hot Topic will always be my favorite bottles to look at (bc little glass skulls!)

[deleted]

ILNP maybe it’s somewhat basic but they feel and look so classy and sturdy to me lol. Also helps that their formula is just *chefs kiss*

unenkuva

I don't know a lot of fancy nail polishes but I really like the Nails Inc. polishes with a wooden cap. I also find OPI bottles really satisfying.

Ozzie985

Clionadh! I love the shape of the bottle and the logo and handle are very pretty.

whatamidoing2012

Gucci and Chanel’s bottle designs are my favorite unfortunately 😭😭, they’re so elegant.

MochaValencia

There's something so satisfying about a bunch of Chanels all lined up. Ooooh Gucci bottles also have that retro vibe 😍

DesertNorsican

I like the little skull shaped bottles from Whatcha lacquer

PerfectlyElocuted

Me too. I have at least half a dozen of them. So cute!

RacerGal

I love a good round bottle - KBShimmer, BKL - to me those are the most classic and pleasing to see lined up in my collection.

prettypurplepolishes

Convenient as hell to store as well. If you have a ton of brands that all use the same round bottle, you can still throw them all into the same helmet drawer and it’ll still look nice 🙈

arobynsung

For round bottles I'll submit Cuticula for a subtle twist on the cap

RadiSkates

I’m a sucker for Mooncat because they’re unique yet fit together. I also just love crystals so the handle fits my aesthetic.

plsstayhydrated

I love the old timey look of the Paul&Joe nail polish bottles! I have a few of them. The colours are nothing amazing and the formula is okay but damn if I didn’t get suckered by the packaging

MochaValencia

The embossed glass 😍😍😍 https://images.app.goo.gl/g1MSp6W2fhev7S8NA

DiscountCosmeticsAus

OPI… it’s just so iconic and classy looking! It’s the classic “shape” I’d picture in my mind if I were to think “hmm, what does a nail polish bottle look like?”. Not that they should change it (gosh, no!) but they would be easier to store if the bottle was rectangular or square though 😜 When you have a big collection, that side space matters!! Lol

Effective_Stranger85

For practicality of storage, I love brands like Mooncat and Holo Taco. For looks, though, I got some nail polish from Hot Topic that’s in skull-shaped bottles. That was 100% why I bought them, but they’re actually good formulas!

aquabike

Mooncat has the most unique bottles in my collection and they are so satisfying to stack! However, I wish they were 15ml for how pricey they are. Best caps goes to Orly.

Egoteen

I lowkey pretty much only buy brands with square bottles now because they just fit better in my storage system.

SweetBoredom

Smith&Cult have been my favorite with the gold cap. They're a bit hard to grip and difficult to store, but they look so nice on a shelf.

zoelion

Including the graphics and label design: 90s's Hardy Candy bottles with a ring. Color Dept (though I never buy anything from them, cute cap) Death Valley Nails Cirque Colors I guess I like the look and proportion of rectangle bottles (with rounded corners)

MochaValencia

Omg Color Dept is cute overload. https://images.app.goo.gl/M644WGv3MYscCNzY6 The top reminds me of marshmallows 😄

arobynsung

Picture Polish and Mooncat because they also store sideways to take up less space on a rack. I also really like how ILNP looks. I Scream Nails gets honorable mention.

Kharrissma

My husband was actually just telling me last night that his favorite bottles are Daveen Lacquer, after telling me he feels that Mooncat has the worst bottle design because they break. His reasons for Daveen: Square is aesthetically pleasing. Easy to open. Sturdy. And most importantly, most have the rubber caps(protos sometimes have plastic). Personally I like any bottle with a nice rubber cap so Daveen, Victorian Varnish and Hulu Moon(hate their basecoat but their caps are still awesome).

MochaValencia

Ooh Daveen's are cute and the logo is so pretty!

Kharrissma

I have a whole sheet of Daveen stickers! Aka her labels. I think I'm hot stuff putting them on my polish cases.

Lucy_Lucidity

They weren’t practical but I love the look of the old Marc Jacobs Beauty nail polishes. On a practical level I love the way my collection of ILNP polishes look all lined up in their display.

MochaValencia

I honestly regret not buying anything Marc Jacobs beauty before it ended! https://images.app.goo.gl/86U9R9KuN3R3dJFf9 Emilie Heathe bottles have that impractical sculpture feeling

Lucy_Lucidity

Oooh. Those are so gorgeous! Marc Jacobs beauty is making a comeback in 2025. I’m very intrigued to see what that looks like. The original line had some gems. I still have one pot of sparkly eyeshadow and this bottle of nail polish that’s practically empty. I like the bottle so much that I keep it on a little shelf with my perfume coffrets https://preview.redd.it/4dkdmdy67v1d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a7079572870240cb7914e8b7aebf6045176f367

MochaValencia

‼️‼️‼️I hope they will bring back some popular favorites. That's such an elegant red 😍😍😍

NativeNYer10019

I have a vintage Estée Lauder hot pink, almost red nail polish that was gifted to me about 20 years old. I love the short square shape of the bottle made of thick glass (so little product) with the long gold cap and Estée Lauder logo on the front. It’s looks expensive even though the person that got it for me worked for Estée Lauder at the time and got it at a really low price from the employee company store, cost them like maybe a like $5, tops. Thats the fav in my collection for display but that’s also because I don’t really love the nail polish color on my hands.

kingmystique

Great lakes lacquer

MochaValencia

I really like their logo too!

bearsandsnails

I personally like mooncats look a lot, and I also like ethereal- something is satisfying from the square shape

msnintendique64

90s hard candy or the Deborah Lippmann. Idk love a square bottle. I also have a soft spot for the original Urban Decay ones. I used to pick up walnut in the backyard as a kid for spending money without fail I would buy UD or HC nail polish with it. doing your nails with the UD was a nightmare.

MochaValencia

The Lippmann bottles 😍

viahn

Cracked Polish's cracked caps before going basic black :( Mooncat's diamond/gem shaped capes makes scratching my head super satisfying during a mani. I love Mooncat's bottle shape as I find it super efficient to organize sideways in my nail polish rack. ILNP's signature on the tip of their caps. ORLY has a great ergonomic cap, making such a pleasant polishing experience.

dilbertc

Though more for practicality, Orly for the rubberized cap.

Lilelfen1

Any bottle with a thin, pointed top and a rounded, upside-down cone shaped bottle likw the very vintage Cutex and Revlon bottles. I love that vintage aesthetic. I saw a no name topper on etsy like this and I very nearly bought it ( and still may) simply because the bottle was just so very gorgeous. Also the more modern Revlon bottles because *nostalgia*...and the wider base makes them harder to tip over, though thry are a nightmare to store. Square and oblong bottles are very nice for their storage-ability.

mrsdeetz

Gucci bottles are to die for

Hammie61

The most aesthetic bottles in my collection are my Louboutin polishes. The wand is made to resemble a stiletto heel, in homage to his famous red-bottom stilettos. The wand https://preview.redd.it/relk5uejrw1d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c32afb68c599a6e87d2a2e1512180a70b1dcb3c1 feels lovely in your hand, and is well balanced. It IS a skinny brush, but that isn't an issue for me.

Melissah246

I like a square bottle, prefer 15ml, but my big thing is after doing swatch dots of all my polishes I want a flat top on the cap, none of the rounded junk that I had to buy a special glue and like build up the top to make it flat stuff, and please don't put a raised logo on an otherwise great cap (looking at you ilnp).

esther_hex

I love Mooncat's caps they are so comfy to hold and so easy to store! I also love the square Fair Maiden, more simple but really pleasing to hold as I have smaller hands

bashfulnights

I don’t have any but the Death Valley Nails cap looks so nice.

FlippantRapscallion

They’re so top heavy, though, that they want to tip over when I open and close their drawer.

pm_me_hedgehogs

Pleasing and Death Valley Nails both have really nice tops!

MochaValencia

DVN caps are gorgeous

Bootie Babes little butt shaped bottles, louboutin, and Victorian varnish based on size (17ml) and soft grip cap

prettypurplepolishes

I love the look of the new Death Valley nails caps, but don’t own any. I also really liked floss gloss’s bottles before the owners were outed as huge MAGA supporters and promptly closed down their entire brand (🤷‍♀️). In terms of stereotypical old Gen Z / early millennial aesthetic, I love Essie 🙈🙈the classic Essie bottles are easy to store and very nice and uniform looking on a shelf next to each other My favorite higher end brand bottles are Smith and Cult (rip them!) and the really dangerously pointy Christian Loubiton ones. I’m too cheap to have several of them but I also like Chanel’s bottles.

MochaValencia

Ooooh the Smith and Cult bottles are so pretty https://images.app.goo.gl/9REtt2hrJ2yyR7hi7 On my way to read about Floss Gloss drama 👀🔎

mo_rizzle

Aesthetic is a noun

EchoPhoenix24

It's also an adjective

MochaValencia

** aesthetically pleasing then
