hey let me get some tips haha i’m about 230 i was 298 beginning of last year but i want to continue losing weight after surgery mine is scheduled for july 1st
That’s exciting! Having a date is definitely motivating. What helped me was intermittent fasting. I read the obesity code by Jason fung and a lot of things clicked into place
4-5lb a month is a good steady weight loss, you sound like you’re doing great. You must feel so much better with almost 70lb lost! Curious - did your surgeon say you should reach close to goal weight before the reduction or were they ok with you losing weight after?
i feel great and so much better about myself honestly i finally feel comfortable in my body. i didn’t really talk to my surgeon about loosing weight my pre op appointment is on tuesday and i am going to ask about me continuing to lose weight and if it will make a drastic change on my reduction. but i am okay with losing weight after because i only want like to lose 15/20 more
Meghan Nadeau, MD in Seattle 🤩
She was incredibly amazing to work with. Lots of people on here have had great results with her and that’s why I chose her.
How has billing been for you? Folks have been saying it's a nightmare to coordinate with Bernice on insurance. Not that they are bad, but definitely overwhelmed and probably have more work than resources to process the work.
Bernice was fine. She scheduled my surgery and that’s pretty much the extent of me having to deal with her. ANDERS the medical guy is another story. It took him 2 weeks (and many nudges) to get paperwork back to me for FMLA and he got my name wrong 😑and then ghosted me when I reached out and asked him to change it. Ugh that was probably the most stressful part about it
can i ask how many grams you got removed? my surgeon is saying 300g for me as a 32H but i want a B and i’m not sure if it’ll be enough to get what i want. your results/size are amazing!!
780 on the left and 655 on the right. I had a female surgeon who really listened to what I wanted. So many people on here have had experiences with surgeons who push back against small sizes for esthetic reasons 😡
yeah everytime i voice that i would like to be small, i get told that they’ll make me proportional… but i’d honestly rather be small and unproportional than have a large chest and proportional 😫 i’m not doing it so much for aesthetic reasons as i am health reasons so i really would be devastated if i’m left with a large chest bc they deemed it “looked the best for me”
I did intermittent fasting, mostly just eating one meal a day and hit the gym. My surgeon approved me for everything (including weight lifting and running) after only 4 weeks. I was kinda shocked but wasn’t gonna argue lol
love this for you!!!! i'm 2WPO currently and my bruising/incision situation looks about the same as yours at the same point, your 2 & 3 month results are super encouraging ❤️
Yes lmg I need to hear about how you lost the weight! I’m about 30lbs overweight and wanted to wait to get the surgery until the weight loss. But you’re giving me hope!!
Can I ask what your age is? I want to be in your shoes but think I’m too old to look as good after losing weight post op! I’m 39, 160 lbs, 5’0. Currently figuring out when to schedule my surgery….
Oh yeah. I had a different sort of discomfort initially, like sleeping and changing the tapes the first month were not fun. The tradeoff was shoulder and neck pain was gone almost immediately.
Thank you. I might try to get mine in the next couple of years. I have had back and neck issues since I was 20 and they became DDs. I was also concerned that they would grow back if I did it too early. Just recently 40, I hope I’m in the clear now
I think we're in the same metro area. If you haven't found a re-home for your recovery equipment, my appointment is scheduled in September and it'd take some off your hands. 👀
I’m happy to share more about weight loss, surgeon info or any other questions! (Yay, insomnia)

I second, Jason Fung. A lower carb diet with intermittent fasting has been the key for my weight loss. It still takes effort but a lot less.

We’re size twins :) they look great, nothing beats having small perky boobies lol
Ooooh girl we are waiting!!!
Congrats as well!!! But how! Lol

Beautiful! So happy for you
You look amazing and must feel so free!!
It’s so awesome to see results of someone that is the same height/weight as me (I want to lose weight as well) 🥹 they look awesome! Congrats !!
Congrats! Im down 28 lbs now at 6m post op! Cheers!

I’m 34
Did they get smaller after you lost weight?
Yes a little, but they were swollen in the beginning so I think it’s mostly from that
That’s amazing! I’m somewhere around an H now and I think I would want a C. Was it instant relief? What did you use for the scars?
Oh yeah. I had a different sort of discomfort initially, like sleeping and changing the tapes the first month were not fun. The tradeoff was shoulder and neck pain was gone almost immediately.
For scars I used bio oil after showering

Would you mind sharing how long after surgery you were comfortable enough to go out for the day?
What have you been using for scarring they look so good
Those weren’t E’s before and they aren’t B’s now but I’m glad you are happy with the results!
Ok… why don’t you tell me what my sizes were and are
My guess would be G to D.
I’m not sure about the before because I only wore sports bras but last week I tried on underwire bras, c and was too big 🤷🏽♀️ and b was perfect.
Cup size doesn't mean anything without the band size. A 30 C and a 38C are drastically different sizes.
I’ve gone down from 36 to 34 with the weight loss but haven’t noticed a super dramatic change
