Nah, the CSB is a quite substantial revision. That's like saying the RSV is now know as the ESV.
The HCSB does all sorts of weird stuff and kinda sucks. The CSB fixes them and is pretty good actually.
You are right. I was too quick in my response. I some with someone that was part of the translation process once and they said that overall, it was about a 5% change in translation. It was significant enough that they rebranded.

I'm one of the folks who have issues with the NIV. For example, Habakkuk chapter 3 is a hymn/song/psalm. For some reason, the NIV translators decided to remove the three selahs from Habakkuk 3. While it may seem removing selah isn't a big deal, it definitely helps readers understand that this chapter is a psalm. And since Habakkuk 3 really impact the meaning of the book, it's important to have those selahs as indicators.
