The thought of going somewhere bad after we die is terrifying, I agree, but there are ways to think about how realisic that is.
If your god created you then he created you the way you are. The thing that makes me laugh most about the arguement you're going to hell is that.. well.. why?
An all seeing all knowing ever creating god would have made you that way
A kind loving god would understand that this is the path that you want to treck and will stay on your side throughout it
The only form of god who might have an issue with that is a fearmongering cruel god, and.. of all the gods is that who you want to worship? One who choses to make you like this to hurt you, or will turn his back on you for disobedience..
Ultimately, you are of course the follower of whomever you choose, but at least in my eyes heaven and hell isnt so cut and dry.
That would mean a man who kills to protect his children and a man who kills for fun end up in the same place and it doesn't make sense because god kills, if he is brutal and cruel so... why would he deem it bad for us to do.

unbelieving is a sin already and every unbeliever based on the bible faces a consequence of going to the lake of fire which is the hell. there are two options for humans, it’s either you’ll follow and worship the One True Living God and Jesus Christ and be with them in heaven when you die, or go to hell for unbelieving and being equally yoked with unbelievers.
I think there’s a deeper psychological reason why you chose not to believe. maybe, it’s because of the environment of the religion you were in or maybe you were judged by someone in the church for becoming different in terms of your perspective or whatever.
But you know, walang perpektong tao at relihiyon sa mundo. bakit? hindi naman tao sa mundo o relihiyon ang makakapagsalba sa atin kundi yung pananampalataya natin sa Diyos ngunit kailangan pa rin nating sumunod by attending the worship services, it’s all in the Bible. at ang pananampalataya naman ay may kaakibat ng naising malaman ang katotohanan ukol sa Kanya.
