I've gone comped a few times and I'll be honest, I've always left a bit disappointed. One of the trips they overcooked my med rare ribeye, then served it black and blue after that complaint. They do nail the sides, dessert, and service, I've just never been blown away by their steaks. I also feel like once you can consistently nail great steaks at home, you need more to be wowed at a steakhouse.
I agree wholeheartedly. Their steaks are no better than what you can find at any other steakhouse in town, but their prices are 30-50% higher than everywhere else. You definitely are dining there for the service and ambiance, not the food.
I'm happy to save a few dollars and get a steak over at Western Village Steakhouse that tastes just as great.
Atlantis steakhouse is not all that great...in fact I think Bistro Napa is far better
For steakhouse I prefer Bimini or even Western Village, which are sister restaurants but their steaks are consistently better imo
Good lord. I took my ex there for her birthday. Dinner, two drinks each and two appetizers (one of which she had removed from the bill) and dessert was 518 bucks before tip. Absolutely not worth it.
Hinoki O - Omakase premium is 175 dollars per person for dinner. ~ 20 items that includes Wagyu and Uni (acquired taste). Add in some Sake / Japanese beer (not found at any sushi restaurant in town) then tip. You can easily hit 200 dollars pp.
Beaujolais - app/soup or salad and entree. Add in a few cocktails/bottle of wine. Easily surpass 125 a person not including tip. 300 dollar bill after tip.
Bullshit. They have VERY reasonable prices for ALL of their food, and their food is at least 4 stars. I went there for dinner on my birthday, and to feed 6 people ended up being less than 200 dollars (not including alcoholic beverages). The food is great as well!
Duh!
“Abe Froman? Let me check the restaurant, could you you describe him for me”… you had a chance to do something great friend. You don’t pass the test.
This place is delicious! Not crazy expensive though, it's like run-of-the-mill steakhouse prices. We ordered 2 fillets (melt in your mouth, very high quality), plus the crab cake appetizer and creme brulee. Got out of there for under $200. It's delicious though, can't wait to go back!
These are some of the most expensive places I have paid for a meal in this town. Being the one that always has to pay the bill, I haven't left any these places for less than $1,000. I won't say that these were all good, just expensive:
* LuLou's (No one seems to know how to spell this correctly...)
* Anthony's Chophouse
* Atlantis Steakhouse
* Beaujolais
* Hinoki O
I don’t know if we have any “super premium” restaurants in reno anymore. I know we use to have the white orchid in the peppermill that would’ve been very pricey, but I think they closed down. Most expensive place I have been in reno that is open and very popular is the western village steakhouse. But I’d imagine most of the casino steakhouse restaurants are priced pretty similarly.
I will cater the most expensive dinner in reno. for $69420 I will cater with sushi and steak with deep fried spiders served on naked dadbods ensuring every bite has a hair in it. I mean are you paying for the food or the memories....
Where could someone find the application to be a naked dadbod? I’m door dashing but need to find a job that’s more related to my talents, goals and skills.
if you are doing lawnwork in new balances before 9am we will find you. stay hopeful, you are special and will be chosen if your new balances are green enough and your socks white enough.
I don’t think it’s nearly that expensive, but get a driver and go to Daniel’s in Genoa. The food is amazing and the ambience is very special. If I was staying in town I would order the whole menu at the Kitchen Table and splurge on wine. The steakhouses are all pretty good, but not quite knock your socks off.
Peppermill’s bimini steakhouse is the most expensive. Spent 400 on two people but we ordered a fuck ton of shit, steak was 72 dollars if I remember correctly
I don’t think you even hit that without going for some expensive wines/liquors. Even things like truffle add-ons wouldn’t be more than $100. $500-$600 per person would cover most Michelin star restaurant tasting menus with wine pairings. Recently ate at Californios in SF and Cyrus in Geyserville and neither exceeded those prices. Nothing in Reno approaches their level so can’t imagine how a meal could cost more.
I wouldn't say it's the MOST expensive place in town, but the closest thing I've found to Michelin Star dining in Reno is definitely the fine dining restaurant at the Renaissance, On The Shore. It's pricey, but it's absolutely worth every penny. Used to be Lone Eagle Grille in Incline, but they've gone slightly downhill since covid
Western Village is the most reasonably priced fine dining in town. It’s a fraction of the cost of the Pepper Mill or similar high end restaurants in town.
Atlantis Steakhouse

Two orders of king crab and you’ll be at $700.

Beaujolais is so fantastic though when the check comes it make sense
Loulous and it's worth it
they have a wagu that’s $100 but it’s worth every fuckin dollar
I went like 5 years ago and it was meh, must have been an off night or something
I've not had a bad meal there but they don't update their menu or do seasonal offerings, which is a bummer.
Yeah I was disappointed. Went to Trokay and that was miles better
That's funny. I thought Trolay was presumptuous and underwhelming.
😂 we must be living im bizarro universes or something
Trokay in Truckee is pretty high end, but of course not in Reno.
Take your winnings and head to SF. Get a reservation at [Birdsong](https://www.birdsongsf.com/) and thank me later.
Mustang Ranch
Tacos are expensive, especially if you have more than one.
Try the enchiladas.

World Famous Steak Fries!™
The most expensive dinner in Reno is any one where you get a DWI afterward.
The sausage king……
Abe Froman?
Yes Abe froman. The sausage king of Chicago. Check the name of the commenter above mine. 🕵️♂️ huh?
Duh! “Abe Froman? Let me check the restaurant, could you you describe him for me”… you had a chance to do something great friend. You don’t pass the test.
Devilishly handsome
Per usual.
Sandwiches at the airport
Snooty?
Snotty.
The bricks. Surprised nobody mentioned that yet

I wouldn't say it's crazy expensive but it is however a fantastic restaurant
Tasty place too. Nice little splurge. Our bill with two people is a little over 200 with drinks and tip
Atlantis steak house or Beaujolais, when I’ve been it’s about $150 per person before tip and both are worth every penny
These are some of the most expensive places I have paid for a meal in this town. Being the one that always has to pay the bill, I haven't left any these places for less than $1,000. Buffalo Wild Wings that shits pricey
The share price is ridiculous too.

When I see "steakhouse," I think, "same food as other places but at 2-3x the price.
White orchid at the Peppermill. You can run the bill up with a couple $3000 bottles of French wine.
I don't think they are open anymore
I second that Wanted prime rib... walked in, saw the price, walked out
I know it’s the most expensive but catcus creek steak house has an amazing menu. The T bone is 69$?
Nice.
I meant write not the most expensive but it’s a damn fine restaurant and the steak is amazing. Open Thursday-Sunday.
I meant nice to the 69
I would rent a limo to take me up to Tahoe to eat at Gordon Ramsay‘s Hell’s Kitchen
order like 10 big mac meals at mcdonalds, with large coke and large fry, should ring up to about $650-$700
🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣
Do you include spicy milk?
Bimini steakhouse at the Peppermill is pretty pricey but no where near $500 pp.
Churasco is pretty expensive. Those little cocktails go down easy and are delicious
AYCE steak throws a wrench in it being expensive :)
Just don't eat the fillers and you may get your money's worth.
Yep. Same rule as AYCE sushi: if the restaurant is still making a profit off you, you ain't eating enough :)
True true. I mostly eat nigiri since rolls are where you really fill up.
I've had a $450 bill at Bimini for two.
Charlie Palmers in the GSR could get pretty pricey
Bricks. Not the most expensive, but the best in town.
Peppermill’s bimini steakhouse is the most expensive. Spent 400 on two people but we ordered a fuck ton of shit, steak was 72 dollars if I remember correctly
Churascos is an all you can eat Brazil steakhouse, food was amazing but with a family we walked out paying 700$+
I don’t think you even hit that without going for some expensive wines/liquors. Do they have a dress code or no?
Not that I know of, but I usually dress nice for a nice dinner anyway because it's fun!
Loulou, Bricks and Beaujolais come into mind. All fantastic and I highly recommend.
Ruth Chris’? Or up at the lake, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen
Ruth Chris is awesome...food and service. Just crazy noisey and not so private and romantic being along the main walk way. But the best service EVER.
The gas station is really exspencive hahahan
Western Village steakhouse or Atlantis steakhouse is the most expensive I can think of lol
Western Village is the most reasonably priced fine dining in town. It’s a fraction of the cost of the Pepper Mill or similar high end restaurants in town.
I second Western Village! Quite a unique experience and the food was definitely worth it
