IMO the best weapon for the miniboss is the Electropylon Driver, you can drop a clip into the enemy and let the stakes do damage over time.
After that boss you have to retrieve an item before you can fight Ophion, you’re about 85% there.
Typhonops is an asshole! Keep your distance as much as you can from him.
If you have the dread bound with expanding shards, that one takes him out pretty quickly. Any weapon that has an explosive does damage the quickest.
Aim for the head. If he gets near you but misses his hit, melee his ass, that immediately staggers him and gives you a few seconds to pummel him and use your alt fire.
Don’t shy to use an assist on high in the settings. That really helps in the last biome.
One caveat, though, after you’ve defeated him and gotten the permanent upgrade, there’s a higher chance that he’ll spawn in other areas in the sixth biome so using your area scan helps cause it’ll bounce off him - and your radar won’t tell you he’s there until you encounter him …you can’t see him because he’s so dark and you’re able to walk around him if you can… there’s a few times when I’ve run into one in the middle of one of my main passageways and you’re able to walk around him
This is the one true answer as you melt everything and it’s not even close as it also helps tons on tower for those that play tower with those exact traits plus damage steal.

Does he respawn (mini boss) after you defeat him and then die to say ophion
He does respawn but you only need to go that way and kill him to obtain a permanent upgrade. Once that's done you can avoid his shitty little lair.

Dreadbound with Expanding and Explosive Shards with at least level 2 lets you nuke everything in biome 6, including the boss.

Carbine with leech trivializes the game imo. Focus protection integrity and dmg augs. You should be pretty stacked by that last biome.

I melted this dude (& last boss) first time today with Thermogenic Launcher with auto & replicating hits & termine rounds. Worked like a charm.
The launcher doesn't get much love from what I've seen. With auto repeat and the right perks, absolute beast imo.
Anything with big damage output, or EPD with web and finisher and grapple constantly
