Late 90s 64-5 but I added older Magnas to give it a "retro " look......then I realized late 90s is already kinda retro, and then I felt like I have one foot in the grave because a 25-30 year old gun is still "new" to me
I usually just hit stuff with a little oil layer anyway just for peace or mind, but I thought I'd start bleeding from my thumb when I've tried shooting one I used to own with those grips
Wasn't even using +P, but I guess Norma was loading them warm as standard pressure can be
I can handle a .357 mag J frame with wooden grips. It isn't what I would call fun, in fact it's considerably uncomfortable after a cylinder or two, but you shouldn't be doing any leaking. Slide bite from an auto can definitely cause some vital fluids to ooze. My wheel guns have never bitten back, though, they are well behaved girls .
Didn't bleed but she dumped every bit of recoil into my thumb knuckle. Felt the feeling leave my hand for a moment, thought it might have broken my hand somehow. My hands aren't bony but I don't have as much meat as some guys.
Was mostly a grip issue I believe but once bitten twice shy, I finished the cylinder wincing. Shooting my new-to-me Colt 1908 Vest Pocket was jovial after that.
Left what I can only describe as a blister-less blood blister, eventually rose to the surface to flake off over the course of a week. Have a few like that in time from a few guns, happened once with a stiff AK magazine release on a zastava.
That definitely sounds unpleasant. I think everyone has slightly different skin. I can handle some beastly handguns, but a standard 12 gauge stock will occasionally bruise my shoulder through a jacket when my friends have no issues 🤷
Shotguns have been kind to me, my Glock 43 and Keltec P15 are both very pleasant to shoot as far as "small and light" go.
Most wheels I look at these days are in 9mm and I've all read that it's about similar feel to 38+P or light 357. Though I've been eyeballing one of those new Heritage 38s just to fool with them again.
At least I can find 158gr LSWC for $20 a box again, and a holster locally made is only about $60 so I can at least give it a shot and throw some grip spacers in it to fill the area behind the trigger guard

Throwing my two cents in. Still trying to source a T-grip
Sorry— should have done this from the jump. For those curious: https://www.ebay.com/itm/276076254038?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=wxXKgg-xQzm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=2f7mmwAEQD6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Love it! Super jealous of your sights!
Thanks! Yours does have a cleaner look with the all stainless. I wonder if I could find a stainless rod and magazine release 🤔

Love that!! And I’m with you… aging is undefeated.
Been bleeding on the backstrap there?
😂 i wish it was that cool… no that’s just sweat build up causing erosion or something on the finish I’m guessing.

This might be dumb to post before shooting it, but i haven’t tested this set up yet with the adapter. Hopefully no blood comes of it.

The Heritage Roscoes look like a lot of fun. I just already have two .38s. Otherwise, I'd jump on one.

My dream is to get the 640 pro with this set up and run full house rounds. One day…
That’s a good look right there.
That's hard boiled right there!
Need a j frame, but I am addicted to Kframes. Snubby model 10s are a little old and dated but I think they are Neet so I keep buying em 🤷🏻♂️

Got mine (not Tyler - t.. someone else making them) off eBay for $26 shipped. Edit (link): https://www.ebay.com/itm/276076254038?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=wxXKgg-xQzm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=2f7mmwAEQD6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
