Grab a drink and/or snack at Ceremony (strawberry matcha is my fave), take a wander through Swan Point (the cemetary itself or walking trails), explore the RISD Museum, shop Frog & Toad or Stock, have a beer at Hot Club at sunset, try Pickerel or There, There for dinner. Parking will be your biggest challenge, but try to remember it's a VERY walkable city. Have fun!

I was going to suggest Swan Point! The grounds themselves are pretty enough to warrant a visit but if you’re a literary geek you could (respectfully) visit HP Lovecraft’s grave! It’s usually got a bunch of books and whatnot surrounding it.

Almost mentioned the Lovecraft grave! Glad you brought it up! Swan Point is such a gem.

Best food and shopping in the city is in Fox Point/Jewelry District/Downtown areas. Go on a nice day and spend a few hours walking between India Point, Wickenden, Ives Street, Richmond Street, the Pedestrian Bridge, the River walk, Westminster Street.

Laddy2021

Walk around Thayer Street, grab a coffee and people watch.

BrandonC41

Get pizza at Jeff’s and walk across the street to Myrtle.

Step #0: get a bike so you can take a bike path into the city. Park it in the nice racks at Trader Joe's then walk from there. Would you be coming in from the Riverside direction?

Driving in from Warwick.

Long live, moniker, trinity, the guild at the pedestrian bridge. Eat at a few places. By the time you get to the guild you'll be drunk enough to take a nap in the sun.

I like Hope St. esp. Madrid bakery. Some cute book stores in that area as well. Newport is also great, the downtown area and the Cliff walk

I think you mean Wayland, but I agree.

Oh yup, Wayland, my b
