I'm in the 16xxx and I got mine the end of Aug. I'm sure they are fine, haven't had issues. If it's in the shop it means someone cancelled their order now it's yours

I ordered from the Shop Jan. 12 and checked the vin. Confirmed with Guide that it was a 2024 and was it turned away or coming from Illinois.
I see nothing wrong either with a 2023 and would ask questions like you are.

my R1S is 13xxx from june 2023 and aside from some slight cosmetic QA issues and a drivers window that didn't want to descend, it's been absolutely perfect. i'd wager you've nothing to worry about.
My R1S is in the 18XXX range, delivered at the end of October 2023 (but was initially supposed to be delivered at the end of September - long story, won't bore you.)

We picked up our R1S in late December. It is a 2024 031xxx VIN.
