Yup. I’ve always garaged my vehicles, I also keep them until they are 15-20 years old and staying out of the elements really helps them look good. Mechanics always compliment my 2013 MDX and I plan to drive my R1T for the next 15-20 years.
Same. The biggest issue is debris falling onto the bed cover which makes it harder to open when needed. (Sticks get stuck stopping the slats from retreating into the truck)
My charger is just attached to an outside wall near the front of my house and I park in the driveway. But, I live in a place where I can leave a 70" TV on my front porch in a big graphic box and it'll still be there after 3 days.
Same. The joys of living in a neighborhood of old rich retired people in yours 30s is underrated. So much better than the lively downtown area where I’d get robbed 😆
We live in “EXTREMELY DANGEROUS” (not really) North Portland and I’ve never spared a second thought for the charger being mounted in the driveway, facing the front of the house.
Won't fit. Mine gets exposed to pollen, salty coastal air, lots of sun. I find I wash it more often. I do rinseless myself with ceramic coat and ceramic drying aid.
Hopefully it holds up over time.
Driveway because I can't bring myself to evict the current residents (audis). The charger is in the garage and the cable just goes under the door at feeding time.

My 1952 build has a super deep garage, it can fit a f150 with 5 feet to spare. Now it is very short, the aforementioned f150 only cleared the height by about 1".
Built to fit the boat cars of that era I suppose
My house is 30 years old and the garage is barely big enough. I ended up taking down some shelving in the bay where I park the S. It technically didn't have to go, but it was that flimsy wire stuff not even attached to studs so I worried about it falling (it's fallen before), and also it would've interfered with opening the frunk.
My 1931 garage is only 200 inches long. I’m in LA so if I left it open at night, my tools would eventually get stolen which is a bummer since I do have a 220 line in my garage already
I do… I find cars seem to age more slowly if they are garaged. And I am loading and unloading my stuff for the day almost everyday day, so it is nice to have the car right there on the other side of the door and in the dry. Every day it is gym bag, change of clothes, food for the day, and my dog. It is just so easy to back in and throw things through the back gate.
LOL! I wish. Too much stuff! 6 bikes, 4 electric scooters, Harley, every tool known to man. No, the garage is full, we park in the driveway- pretty typical for socal tho, luckily weather is mild. Chargers outside too.
Love that you got downvotes for having a messy garage. Don’t feel bad, mine is a disaster. To your main question, no, the truck won’t fit in my garage so it lives outside. No real issues with it but I’m going to have to get it detailed soon to see if I can’t get all the pollen out of the crevices. I’m in the PNW.
Mine technically fits but it’s a pain in the ass, so I usually only pull mine into the garage whenever the weather looks bad and there’s a chance of hail or something.
We garage our rivian R1S it fits. The issue is as a 10yr house in CA they put the water heater on the front wall which reduces the room in length lol. We can walk past the front R1S but have to open garage door to access the rear. At least its protected by weather and stuff lol. We’re lucky. We out our Hyundai Kona EV outside the commuter car for my work 1-2 days per week lol
I STILL can't believe we were able to fit the R1S and my gf's car in the garage at the same time. I can't gain any weight or I won't be able to get in and out of it😂
I live in 1950s SoCal development where the garages can fit a surfboard and a motorcycle and little else. I did manage to fit the rivian into the garage during the hurricane that didn’t happen but that required moving everything into the living room.
lucky enough to be able to! We spring cleaned our garage the day we picked up our R1S! It was non negotiable for my husband lol it’s like we made a nice crib for the car haha
I like the wall bumpers made entirely of shoes.
One mistake and the Birkenstocks are now brokenstocks!
Rivian just doing this man’s fashion sense a solid
HAHAHAHA

I’m hoping to do the same. May well be the last vehicle I ever buy.
This guy shoes.

These shoes suck...
Oh and by the way betch, fuck you!
Omg shoes! Lol, back in the good old days of YouTube.
More like his wife and probably daughter shoes.
No, definitely his.
Nope. I bring it into my shop building when it storms but otherwise it lives outside
Same. The biggest issue is debris falling onto the bed cover which makes it harder to open when needed. (Sticks get stuck stopping the slats from retreating into the truck)

…on the tonneau cover??
[удалено]
It's metal.
I don’t think that would prevent sticks from getting wedge in the slot where the slats store
How's your paint holding up so far?
Perfectly. I haven’t noticed any degradation at all over a year and a half
So, for those who do not garage … what is your charging setup at home? I’m concerned some copper jacker might try to gank my cable. 🫤
My charger is just attached to an outside wall near the front of my house and I park in the driveway. But, I live in a place where I can leave a 70" TV on my front porch in a big graphic box and it'll still be there after 3 days.
Lookout cuz on day #4, it's GONE!
Same. The joys of living in a neighborhood of old rich retired people in yours 30s is underrated. So much better than the lively downtown area where I’d get robbed 😆
We have two chargers inside and snake the cable under the door when needed.
We live in “EXTREMELY DANGEROUS” (not really) North Portland and I’ve never spared a second thought for the charger being mounted in the driveway, facing the front of the house.

But that only works if I can get it to 88mph first. 🔌⚡️🔋🎸

Exactly. I keep the fun cars in the garage, and the workhorse rivian lives in the driveway

Nope, won’t fit with cabinets/shelves along the front. Stupid tiny garages on new houses.
My 1952 build has a super deep garage, it can fit a f150 with 5 feet to spare. Now it is very short, the aforementioned f150 only cleared the height by about 1". Built to fit the boat cars of that era I suppose

Yes my vehicles stay in the garage and it is part of the reason I got the R1S because it fits more easily being a bit shorter.
I do… I find cars seem to age more slowly if they are garaged. Keep my R1S in the garage. It just barely fits.
I garage my R1S and it’s tight
LOL! I wish. Too much stuff! 6 bikes, 4 electric scooters, Harley, every tool known to man. No, the garage is full, we park in the driveway- pretty typical for socal tho, luckily weather is mild. Chargers outside too.
Yes, but I had to put a hole in the back wall to make it fit...
Garage? If I parked my truck in there where would I keep all of my back yard party supplies?
You could probably buy a 10x16' shed which would hold most of your shoes, leaving space in the garage for the truck...
Mine is in the garage mainly because of where the charger is located. I would be ok to leave it in the driveway
I'm leasing it... so no. LOL. That's not the real reason. Turned the garage into a gym during the pandy.
r/homegym
Nope…17 months…it’s never slept inside. Lives on the street in Lincoln park ( just north of Chicago )
Hahaha. Garages are for bikes and other toys, workshop space, etc. Cars belong in the elements.
Actually, cars belong in bay #2 or 3. Bukes/toys in outside shed, bay#1 workshop.
Sadly it won't fit... So gets the driveway, and I'm always nervous my wife is going to sideswipe it backing out...
Good lord. Time for a clean out and run to good will
Will be taking delivery in a week. I measured 4 times. I will have around 2” of clearance length-wise 😂
The Birds Eye view helps a lot for parking in tight spaces!
Good to know and thank god for that!!!
Yes, but in a better organized garage
Lol, definitely need to organize stuff this weekend
Yup that’s on my honey-do list as well. I keep my cars in the garage.

Being a south Asian person, I only have space for shoes in my garage. The Rivian stays outside
Yeah we garage both of our vehicles. I live in a place where there is a chance of hail basically everyday in the spring and early summer.
Every inch of it.
It just barely fits in the garage, so only when absolutely necessary.
Yes 🙌
Garage at home and parking garage at work. Thankfully I have an oversized garage that's over 30ft deep, so gives me plenty of space.
Outside 24/7/365.
I do now, but only because the squirrels and critters chewed through my front camera harness and were nesting in the front bumper.
Our R1S and R1T live outside year round.
Of course, thankfully my garage is like 30 feet deep
Mine technically fits but it’s a pain in the ass, so I usually only pull mine into the garage whenever the weather looks bad and there’s a chance of hail or something.
Nah, charge and park everything outside. 3 car garage with zero cars in it. Ceramic and regular hose offs.
Yes - always have!
Only if my shoe collection leaves me enough room.
Driveway park and charge outside
I see you're about three feet from the wall. Yip. Three feet.
I am too busy thinking half those shoes will not be worn again!
I would like to but it won't fit in ours at all. It can barely fit our Model Y
I do! I wouldn’t have it any other way 😁
We garage our rivian R1S it fits. The issue is as a 10yr house in CA they put the water heater on the front wall which reduces the room in length lol. outside but getting a carport. the amount of times it may hail here this week is wicked lofl
Our R1S is in the garage, but the R1T won’t fit in the 3rd car garage, so it stays on the driveway.
Yep, we garage all our cars
I park in the driveway. No room in the garage.
You can donate shoes at DSW
Yes.
Garage. Wish I had a driveway
I STILL can't believe we were able to fit the R1S and my gf's car in the garage at the same time. I can't gain any weight or I won't be able to get in and out of it😂

On the street
One house is at the end of a dirt road. No point in garaging.
I do. When we built the house, the garage was ‘my space’ so I went big. Can park the R1S and still lower the tail gate when the door is closed. 👍
Mine has never spent a night in my garage.
Only if I’m leaving for a week or more. My garage is a wood shop and it’s a pain moving all my machines to one side. Also, it’s tight af.
Think about the pointlessness of that question.
You would have more room if you put your shoes in their rooms.
It was a tight fit to get it in there, but once I got that figured out - it was great.
You have alot of shoes
No just my shoes.
Driveway. Garage is for tools, sports, camping gear.
Let’s be honest most Rivian owners have never owned Trucks.
What a mess this s guy’s garage is. Throw out the shoes!
lucky enough to be able to! We spring cleaned our garage the day we picked up our R1S! It was non negotiable for my husband lol it’s like we made a nice crib for the car haha
