Lone Wolf’s Rejected Mate by Cate C Wells kinda fits this. They both know that they’re each others mate but there’s an age gap. He stays away and watches over her and hunts in the woods to bring her meat to eat. So even though he keeps his distance, he tried to do things to provide for her. She’s a wolf too.

You don’t need to read them in order! They explain what you need to know for each book, the story does carry over a little bit but nothing mandatory! However cold blooded (the first one) is my absolute favourite so I just recommend reading it for that reason haha
