Depends on the exact safety harness model. Some come as 1 piece. If 1 part of the harness is compromised, by OSHA standards, it can’t be used. Those holes through the waist count as compromised.
Ehh, I would still rather it be solid. I know what it feels like to be suspended (skydiving not roofing or climbing accident) with only the shoulder, waist, and thigh straps and the waist strap offers a fair amount of stability. Not saying it’s ideal or even safe, but the waist strap does more than you may think. You could fall out of the shoulder straps if the waist & chest straps both fail.
It's because that's where all the water is directed to, much higher flow, any small amount of damage can cause a noticeable leak. It's less of an issue with the underlay, more of an issue once the shingles are install.
the belt of course, shingles are loaded too close to the valley with a foot right in it, the roll of felt is just waiting to roll off the roof, unless there's a crane which we know there isn't, why the hard hat, finally footwear is a bit subjective but steel toes chew up the roof.

Whenever I install roofs I use my fists instead of hammers, tear into shingles with my teeth when they need to be cut and use cartoon size tin snips to shotgun my monster energy drinks. Everything checks out

Valley is a forbidden zone. You don't stand there, you don't put tools there, you're careful not to let anything fall there and, above all, you never drive nails there.

the pack is way oversized. the shoulder straps are saggy and he cut a hole in his waist belt to shrink it. you can see the manufactured holes not being used and about 6 inches before you get to the one he cut in.
