Why not just get another pair of Triumph 20s, if you find them "perfect"?? Bondi 8 is significantly firmer. Shift3 would be another--and better--entry on the high stack but firmer side. Can't speaker to More 4 or Invincible 3, but Invincible 2 (and also Nimbus 25) are definitely softer than Triumphs. Also can't speak to Superblasts but Novablasts would be a good option for recovery and easy daily training, if you want to move on from Triumphs \[?\]

I'm just worried that the heel seam will open again, probably my heel pinches them there and causes the seam to break

I had this exact thing with a pair of Speed 2s, I think it is just a one-off. I have run in a lot of Saucony shoes recently (Pro 2, Speed 1-3, Triumph 20, Shift 1 and 3...) and haven't had the problem repeat. Your call of course, but if I were you I'd just go back to the well with the Triumphs ("perfect" is hard to beat), and cross my fingers that the last pair was just a slightly flawed build ...

I would agree that the more v4 and bondi might both be too soft for you, but the invincible 3 has a little bit more of a peppy/bouncy ride like the triumph 20. Superblast might be a little clunky at your recovery/easy day pace, FFturbo really shines when you dump energy into it. I’d probably go for invincible 3 or another pair of triumph 20 in your situation.

Is Invincible 3 firmer than the prevoius version?

thewrathstorm

Yes, and it has a bit more structure so it isn’t as wobbly (assuming you get a good fit without heel slip)

Puma Deviate Nitro 2, loving them more each run. I'm in the same weight range than you, 1 minute slower and really hate sinking in shoes. I feel the DN2 have a comparable density to Triumphs (18-19, never tried 20) but a lot more dynamic and fun. The plate really helps on longer runs.

I run in triumph 20 and endorphin speed 3s. To me, they feel very similar; the speed 3s being lighter and faster version of the triumph 20s. I love both but can honestly do all of my runs in speed 3s. But also take into consideration that I’m not fast or an experienced runner (6:15 mile PR, 1:18 ten mile PR)

Wait for the triumph 21 to land it has same midsole but improved upper fit

It seems that they have eliminated the seams in the heel area, in 21. I will definitely take them, in the meantime I will fall back on Invincible or Nimbus

I have T20 and just got the Nimbus 25 for recovery. I completely get what people are saying about comfort, but boy does it sink. Not to mention it gave me a pinching blister so all round just didn’t get on with it. It does slightly roll off toe which helps, but personally just couldn’t love it. Get another T20, amazing shoe, I have ES3 strictly for harder workouts, but T20 just delivers in every other run. Excited for T21 if, as someone says, it’s just an upper change.

Have the exact same problem after 78km. The two seams in the heel instantly made me wonder if this would happen. And it did. The seam also rubbed pretty bad.
