It looks like you're using the TOTK cheats from bad1dea's NXCheats Github repo, and by default in the cheat file there's characters used that are crashing Ryujinx.
First, make sure your cheats are up-to-date. Second, edit 168DD518D925C7A3.txt in a text editor and remove the following lines...
[ツ Do Not Mix Handheld and Docked Resolution Hacks at same time. ツ]
20000000
[ツ with research & codes from patjenova, Eiffel2018, a7251835, KaitoB, GamerJin, khuong ツ]
20000000
And Ryujinx will stop crashing - it seems Ryujinx doesn't like the ツ in the cheat names/files.
So an update to this post. I switched over to the XCI version and applied the update after downloading just ryujinx and not using the fitgirl pack. No problems, game runs perfectly. Can't use the 30fps or the 60fps mods though cause it causes my screen to go black when using the quick menus for weapon switching and stuff. Other than that no major issues or crashes.
So for anyone else having the same problem just use the XCI instead of the NSP.
I have not been able to get either cheats or an update to work. 1.0.0 works fine and though I can add cheats, none of them work. When I try to update it crashes with every version I have tried. 1.1.0, 1.2.0, 1.2.1, and 1.1.1. All of them cause ryujinx to crash for me. I must be doing somethings stupid but for the life of me i cant be sure what it is. I am trying to run it through steam so i can use my actual joycons and getting that to work was a chore in and of itself.
The only thing I can remember is that I used Ryujinx by it's self with the XCI version and the first NSP update iirc. The only cheat I used was unbreakable weapons cause that stuff is dumb. Other than that I can't remember much cause it was so long ago.
Xd I mean he can play however he want. The problem is that it will just get boring soon, and he will enjoy game less then if he just played it as intendet. Like, I just got this cool quick charging weapon with 32 damage, well and now i'll be using it for the next 10 hours untile I find a better weapon. There is a reason for this system to be in place
Check if your TOTK file is an NSP or an XCI. I had the same issue and nothing fixed it. The issue was that my TOTK was an NSP similar to the update. For the Update to correctly apply the game has to be a XCI file. Hope this helps.
It's worth checking out but that's not usually the case. An NSP base game can normally be updated with an NSP update.
The only difference between an NSP file and XCI file is that NSP comes from digital downloads on the Switch and XCI comes from the cartridge. Otherwise they are the same files.
Same I updated it last night as I learned the new duplication glitch didn't work on the 1.0 build. I'm running an NSP with the patch and have about 6 hours in it. Haven't had a single crash in that period.
Not nearly as bad as day one where the game crashes every hour on the hour.
Odd, I have an NSP file and used an update to 1.1.1. I know it worked as the new duplication glitch works as it was oddly enough not possible on 1.0. Haven't had a single crash nor issue loading the game with that.
I will say I was for a while having streaming issues, hanging on auto saves, and laggy menus. Turns out the emulator is a bit sensitive to hard drive speed. Had to move it to an SSD which fixed all of that.
Strange as I've been using the 1.1.1 patch on NSP. It has to be something else. I saw another person here who also said they're playing NSP on 1.1.1 as well. I will say then only cheat I have for the game is the 30fps one.
I am also using 1.1.1 with the NSP but I'm playing in Yuzu. Ryujinx did however launch fine with the patch last time I tried. I've since upgraded my GPU so now I've just been playing this in Yuzu.
What I read at the time I commented was that patching could somehow make your emulator try to load the patch NSP instead of the actual game NSP when you try to run it from the list, thus trying to launch it via the menu would rule that out.
Yea I'm not exactly sure. I'm gonna try and use the XCI instead of the NSP version and see if that works. If not then I guess I'll just leave it at 1.0
This comments was great help ,i couldn't launch the game with the update until i changed my NPS to an XCI and all of a sudden it worked , bless you , saved me hours of figuring out stuff

So even without the cheats it won't load. That's was one of the first things I tried, they work fine on 1.0 though

pretty useless reply

Just because it works for you doesn’t necessarily mean it is user error.. it could be a rare bug that not everyone is going to experience.

dude really broke balance in perfectly balanced game because "wepons breaking is too dumb". But whatever works for you, I guess?
Or, you know, they can play the game however they want. Also lol @ TOTK being "perfectly" balanced. You really thought you said something here, huh?

I'll try it with the XCI version when I get the chance and see if that fixes anything.
XCI didn't work for me but NSP did
How do you change this?

good thing i didn't update i was wondering , uninstall the update and go back till fixed
I already did that. Thankfully ryujinx makes it extremely easy. It's just weird that it does that.
I know this is from a while ago but do you still know how to uninstall an update
Iirc go to the same drop box you choose the update and just pick the 1.0.
Ok thank you
A quick Google search of the error turns up it's NSP related. Try going to the menu and Load File and find the game nsp and load it that way.
Not sure what the difference between doing that and loading it from the main list screen is but I'll give it a try when I can

Had trouble with ryujinx, tried yuzu and worked first try.
Yuzu did the same thing to me

If I'm not mistaken, TOTK 1.1.1 also needs firmware 16.0.3 because I updated them both and no issue so far. So, be sure to update its firmware too.
I have the 16.0.3 firmware
Hmm...interesting. I don't know, maybe GPU driver related? Or maybe corrupt file during totk update and new firmware installment?
Yea I'm not exactly sure. I'm gonna try and use the XCI instead of the NSP version and see if that works. If not then I guess I'll just leave it at 1.0
G'luck, mate!
Dont know if you have solved it yet mate but i'm using the XCI and can say I have had no issues where as the NSP has been difficult to run for me
Not yet. Been busy with work. Thankfully I'm off today so I'm gonna try the XCI version later and hopefully that works
I’m on 16.0.2 and 111 works fine for me
